- ( www.TFLcar.com ) For 2013 the Hyundai Genesis Coupe is new with a restyled and more sculpted body, a larger engine and an 8 speed automatic transmission. We recently had the chance to spend a week with the 3.8 Grand Touring model to check out the changes that Hyundai made to this sporty GT. In this drive and review Nathan and Roman have very different opinions about the new Hyundai Genesis Coupe. Check it out as the boys completely disagree.
Roman drank an 8oz glass of Haterade before he did this review. This is a really good car for the money.
too heavy? really guys have you looked at any of the other cars in this segment??
Gen coupe 3.8GT: 3430lbs
BMW 335i: 3560lbs
Inifiniti G37: 3633lbs
Audi A5: 3583lbs
Acura TL (base): 3726lbs
Ford Mustang: 3453lbs
Chevrolet Camaro: 3780lbs
i'm not able to find a lighter car in its class... shouldn't you be bragging that this car is light?
"heavy" but it's the second lightest v6 coupe in the segment with only the 370z being lighter
Dumb.......
I'm 5'11" 235lb muscular and I don't have ANY problem fitting into the car...
I don't want a sports car that is made to hold adults in the back seats. This isn't meant for back seat people.
I'm 6'1...and I fit perfectly.
i'm 7'4 and i fit just fine
I currently have one 3.8 grand touring. I have been shopping since it's now 3 years old I went to BMW, Audi, Lexus and so on, I decided to keep my genesis while longer. It's just a beautiful nice and a great performing car. It's just the best. I think the design is just astonishing
Im 6 feet tall 185 pounds and i fit in my 2010 genny just fine
You can't measure the 0-60 if you have a shitty launch lmao
im 6'3" and i fit perfectly fine in mine, i love this car!
Absolute crap review. The opinion reflects step mother treatment to Hyundai. In any case, nobody is bothered about rear seats. Does German Brands offer good rear space? Review based on negative mindset. I believe some people can't digest the fact that Hyundai now produces decent vehicles at affordable prices.... And please remember the warranty Hyundai offers.... By the way I own Hyundai Santa Fe and BMW 320i. Peace of mind when it comes service and maintenance costs. Even if some cars manage 1 sec faster than Hyundai, that doesn't make them great and not worth paying additional 20K or more.... Hyundai is not perfect but not bad either.....
I got about 5.2 seconds 0 to 60 in my 15 genesis 3.8 I guess that is "slow"....smh....
I test drove a 2.0T Premium in Platinum Silver Metallic and was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to drive on both the street and the interstate. In the automatic the paddles can be used to override the computer without the shifter being in sport mode. The paddles do add a good measure of convenience when you can't be bothered to shift using the lever. The engine has plenty of low-end stomp for merging and passing, unlike the FR-S. And with eight gears to play with, the extra measure of control from the paddles will rarely go to waste on a deserted, twisty stretch of road
I mean if you get a sports car why would you want to fit people in the back?
I'm 6'2" 240lbs and went to a Hyundai dealer sat in one. It felt great. I wasn't cramped and feel as though I could have taken a long trip in the Genesis Coupe
Motortrend got it 0-60 in 5.2, yes I know they arnt 1 mile about sea
Love the fact that you guys looked at the back seat and kinda reviewd that too. Great review guys.
a second thing the 2010 coupe with a 4 banger turbo with only 210hp will do 0-60 in 6.8 seconds , Personally i can shave a couple tenths off by launching. how in the fuck do they manage a 7
