- Today we have a very fun video, while In LA sorting my E12 for the road trip home, Hunter was kind enough to let us take out his Turbocharged Dinan 535i E34 into the canyons of Los Angeles for some fun mountain ripping!! This car is equipped with more rare parts and performance modifications than I can even count and it wears them well! This is the most capable E34 I've ever driven and was tons of fun! Big brakes, Adjustable sway bars, M Hurricane Interior, Callaway Turbo Kit, and more, this may just be the coolest E34 ever!

This is exactly how I would want my e34, a cruiser with enough power and confidence in steering, something this car was made for, and amplyfying those characteristics with these mods made it perfect. I am enjoying my 94 e34 m20b25 and I am in love, can imagine how nice this one feels. Cheers to all 3 of you legends !

I think multiple cameras are called for, maybe one on the roof or one stuck just behind the arch? The e34 has such a well designed chassis with soooo much in reserve, already a joy to drive, the subtle turbo must make it a delight. Great video guys, thanks for creating, editing and uploading.

Man that e34 looks like a lot of fun. I’m a big fan of OEM+ builds. I autocross my 330ci - our photographer paid me the best complement a few weeks ago. Said - I love seeing your car run. It looks so stock and unassuming but it boogies and you absolutely send it every time.
That was totally my goal - make it perform well at the track but will be a pleasure to drive back home. Big power numbers are great, but if it’s not enjoyable to drive on a routine basis, it’s not my style.

So been looking at E24s a lot lately. I’m seeing more 633csi’s than 635csi. Any major differences between the two as far as parts availability? Or any specific reason to choose one over the other?
@@robsweekendgarage 633s are early cars, less desirable, e12 based so parts are hard to come by. Id never care to own a 633 again. Only 635
Perfect response. I thought there maybe something like that. There’s a 633i local that’s pretty clean for $2100. Claims it only has 83k on it but you can see the trip odo stuck at all zeros. Who knows how long that cluster has been busted.

Josh, you should really come to some Windy City BMW events. There is an event coming up in 3 weeks at Autobahn Country Club down in Joliet where you can get your car out on the track if you want. Also plenty of Auto-X. It’s nothing like the CA canyons, but still something fun to do. I guarantee the membership would love to see *any* of your cars.
This is something I would really like to do but honestly Im kind of timid/nervous to get on a track. I really need a dedicated car for the track that I can get comfortable in.
I hear you on that. I’ve never driven on track, but the High Performance Driving Events are not timed and passing is only allowed when signaled. Do what I did last year and just come for the “car show” which is really just everyone parking their cars on the grass and you can watch people lap the track. I brought my son and we had a great time just chilling (track has great food too).
I probably won’t have my car ready for track duty this year yet, but I’m still hoping to go there and experience it again.

Great looking car. I resprayed my friend's e39 wagon in Royal red and it looks very similar. M30s are really great on the highway, they love 4th gear on a straight. It's funny you mentioned the Chicago roads because Dakota said the same thing when him and John visited me in Ga in 2019. They were like wtf you have twisty roads like right down the street from your house ? 😅

Now I know it is not necessary paying gold to a garage,it is to be done myself.
This video about a turbocharged 3.5 was what I wanted to know as well.
The interior screams for white leather,but I am not that much of a purist.
As long as there are only BMW parts being used.

i love to see the e9 with the the e23 ¨745¨engine the original bmw turbo . back in the 80s we drove this car with a friend who loved classic cars ...his car was a beauty and very fast above the 3000 rpm
This gave me tons of inspiration for my e34

Awesome car, like ur videos and E34s. U are literally like I when we talk about BMWs. I have 4x e34 now so 2x 525i 24v, 525td and one with engine from e39 3.0diesel m57d30, lot of spare and m5 parts.. looking for more power and daily.. considering to take 3.0 v8 manual and then swap it to 4.4

Big fan of your channel! I'm from Manila, Philippines :) I only have two myself - e30 and e34. My e34 is a low mileage example but the tach stopped working recently. Checked the fuses but no go. Would you know what to look at and how to fix it?
Thanks man. As far as a tach goes, most things e34 cluster related just lead to a cluster replacement.

Low boost seems odd…perhaps a boost leak?
Not so much low boost, just the random lack of boost at all, hes checked it for boost leaks. Super odd
It was internally gated, right? Maybe the wastegate is old/sticky and it’s staying open when it shouldn’t and therefore not building boost. This wouldn’t show up with a boost leak test.
@@EstorilE36M345 it’s external gate, could be a wastegate issue though good idea!
