Nothing but total admiration for the men aboard that lifeboat. The Coxswain exhibits masterful seamanship and control in very (VERY) challenging conditions and he and his crew are, without doubt, heroes in the truest sense! A lot of people think of it being difficult and dangerous on a lifeboat when out to sea, which can be very true. But let me tell you as an RNLI crewman myself (though on the east coast, not south), this video of the boat just a few metres out, is probably as fine an example of boat handling as you will ever see. I can not count the number of things that could go wrong. Sadly, in this case they were unable to save the individual they were looking for, but clearly not for the want of trying. As for the commenter below who said this looks fake, grow up and have some respect for the life that was lost.
I love the RNLI to bits but why does this video look so fake,, it reminds me of the old lifeboat boxes when you put in a coin the boat would bob up and down

Probably because your not used to seeing boats when the sea is as rough as this. Even the crew said they were shocked at it.
