Something different happened with me. I had forgotten to switch off my tv for a few hours from mains and it was in standby. After switching on tv with remote, it suddenly stopped working. Nothing was working, new batteries, etc. I simply restarted the tv from mains and then paired it again. Don't think that the remote is dead if it's not detecting signal. Thanks for the tips.

The remote is not working, Ordered a genuine remove from Mi Store, still not working, no paring, there is no "Remote and accessories" option shown under settings>device preference, internet is not connecting using mobile hotspot. Now they are asking to book engineer for which they will charge 500 rupees. Do you have a solution to this? I have tried resetting the tv, tried by pressing both the side buttons available on remote but nothing is working.

This remote works only with Bluetooth enabled Tv.. Non bluetooth tv not works.. click on device preference > Go About > Click on staus > & check Bluetooth address is available or not..

So, either use 2.4ghz remote / mini keyboard or use Google Android Remote app ( this app works properly, we can easily use keypad, navigate, & also use voice search/ command ), but before using this app keep your mobile & tv on same WiFi network...

We can make non bluetooth tv bluetooth i.e just for receiving audio signal wirelessly via bluetooth transmitter & receiver adaptor, & through this we can receive audio signal on our bluetooth headphones, speakers... & For controlling Tv functions we can use 2.4 GHz wireless remote controller...
