The Natural Order of Life

The Paper Chase is a 1978 American drama television series based on a 1970 novel by John Jay Osborn Jr., and a 1973 film adaptation. It follows the lives of law student James T. Hart and his classmates at an unnamed law school, modeled on Harvard Law School. This clip from the episode, "Scavenger Hunt" features John Houseman delivering a dynamic monologue regarding the human condition and the foundations of civilization. I personally find it inspiring.
