Vinyl record cupcake toppers for disco themed cakes

Vinyl record cake toppers.
In this cake decorating tutorial I show you how to make some mini vinyl record cupcake toppers, These are quick and easy ideas that work great for disco themed and 70s themed cakes. You could use fondant to make these simple cake toppers, however using modelling paste, gum paste or flower paste allows it to set harder and works better for these.

Those are great! I am going to have try that with clay. :) I do have a record player still and it has an am/fm dial radio. :D My mom had one when we were growing up. It was huge like a piece of furniture so when I found one that was similar in size if not looks I jumped on it. It still works too which is a definite plus. When not in use I put my ceramic figures on it.

Zoes Fancy Cakes Yeah a use when not in use. I have about a dozen records that I play now and then on it. :D I like things to have more than one function. That desire makes it hard creating things with clay sometimes. :D
