Fleury gets so much undeserved hate from some wild fans. Yes he can play better absolutely, but it doesnt matter. He owns up to his mistakes, and takes blame even when hes not the one to blame, he cares more about team success than his own, he is a great mentor to gus and all around locker room guy. Hes on a very affordable deal. Theres zero reason to hate fleury.
well said, Gus probably watched fleury growing up... must be surreal to be playing along side such a legend as well as learning everything he can from him, how can you not love the guy im a boston guy but i just cant get enough of flower hes a gem

Fleury commands respect given his career but let’s not sit here and say he’s going to be the best shot the wild have at winning games . Gus has been one of the hottest goalies in the league since December/November and has been the reason why the wild came away with 2 points in quite a few games . Fluery just hasn’t been great the last couple months and has given up some head scratcher goals pretty regularly (asides from the last couple he’s played ) which has cost the wild the game on a few occasions.
I had watch Todd Boldys reaction to Matts goal again during this. This guy is a great father. So proud of his son but is just enjoying the time he gets with him after turning pro.
