I would not be surprised to see a tell all book from MM, after her father dies. Neither would I be surprised that she will claim some sort of abusive relationship. He won't be around to dispute it.

I think she has told Harry a horrible story about her father and that is why Harry has never gone to meet his father in law. However since Harry’s old wife had always been positive about her father and with her penchant for telling lies, in my opinion, I doubt anyone will believe her.

I adored my daughter, never missed a day telling (and showing her) that she was deeply loved. Went out of my way to make her life special.
I knew she was “different”but chalked it up to her intelligence.
She asked me throughout her life,”Why do you have friends? All they do is betray you and make you cry”.
She never had a close friend,only acquaintances.
She had her biological dad and a stepfather that both loved and adored her.
She developed a problem of wanting attention from men and left her husband 3 times for some rather shady characters. Her husband is as near a Saint as it gets and forgave her,took her back every time.
She found number 4 lover at work (as usual) and left her 2 sons and husband and filed for divorce.
I tried to talk to her about what she was doing to her 2 sons. She got furious with me and cut all ties including me seeing my grandsons.
That was 15 years ago. She married number 4 had another son that I have only seen twice (he is 12). She ruined the relationship I had with my older grandsons.
So,I am 69 years old,in poor health and totally alone. She was an only child. Narcissists are unbelievably cruel,yet let on as the victim.

I feel for you. I can see a lot of my mother in someone like Meghan Markle she was a narcissist, capricious, irrational and emotionally unstable; you never knew where you stood with her or how she’d react. She lied constantly about the stupidest things, she screwed me up for years as a chld and the only way I could get some sort of sanity in my life was to cut her off completely as an adult - she died a few years ago - I didn't go to her funeral and I don't regret it for one minute.

No parent is perfect and spoiling your children is fine, children should be spoiled if you're able to, as long as you balance it out with consequences when they do wrong and teach them to appreciate what they have instead of expect it and take it for granted. Mr. Markle's error was not that he spoiled his daughter, it's that he let her get away with EVERYTHING and instead of doling out appropriate punishment, he rewarded her bad behaviour ... just like King Charles is doing with Harry.
Charles isn't doing any such thing with Harry. You cannot punish your kids when they are adults. It wouldn't matter a jot if they took titles away. As the mother of a daughter who at 28 decided she had mommy issues, I understand what Mr Markle is going through. It is a heartbreaking situation and the same happened to me. I raised, educated, (my 3 kids have college degrees) and financially supported them until after graduation so they had a good head start in life. To this day I have no idea what I’ve done to my daughter and since she’s in Orlando and I’m in Boston it is impossible to reach her. I’ve begged, threatened, bribed, cried, screamed, had a nervous breakdown and finally understood I can only control and love me. I’ll always be here for her, but I will no longer but a rug for her to step on. My heart breaks for him and in my view he’s def a victim. May God have mercy on his ungrateful daughter when her time comes.

Mr Markel is a victim of his Daughter’s lack of compassion and selflessness. She was embarrassed of him in his aging years, his sickness and neglect. Just like how she flounced off to Canada after convincing Harry they could not possibly THRIVE within the horrible confines of life in the Royal Family and that she was suicidal. But it's all catching up with her and it's just matter of time until she squeezes the last drop of marketable value Harry's royal status brings to her prospects.

Thomas Markle’s hands are not clean in all of this. His behavior after being thrust into the spotlight (pardon the pun) has been abysmal. He also provided a guiding and indulgent hand in raising a parasitic and truly reprehensible daughter. That said, is he a victim? Yes, IMHO. He, and his grandkids, deserved better.
I think there’s more complexity to Thomas Markle, Sr. than we’re getting. But, Meghan and her husband were in a position to extend grace, and neither could be bothered. Sad.

What I find so sad is we only have one father and, of course, one mother. When they are gone...that's it. Fallouts happen in every family, some worse than others. If you have had a loving relationship which has gone sour, if you really loved that parent, and time has passed, please consider drawing a line, agree to disagree but move on and reunite in some way. I have worked with many people whose parent has passed on and they are tortured with emotional pain, regret and guilt. Circumstances obviously dictate individual situations but, if it is at all possible, reconciliation is always a beautiful thing.

Here's my view... He was never invited to that wedding. His daughter set him up with that photo shoot- she has a connection to that photographer. That photographer came to him. She was behind it to use it as an excuse for him not to go. She did not want him or the rest of her family there because they will expose her lies.
Look at Dorias story next to hers. Doria went to Hollywood to do the same thing - find a rich husband. She was originally after the guy from Married with Children. Doria has taught Meghan everything she knows. They have worked together to take the grift to the next level and it has worked.

I think one of the things that confuses me is that as a retired, senior citizen as well, if you have Medicare and a supplemental insurance plan, you’re out of pocket is not very much. Why does he need this type of help? My cancer bills have been nothing, zero dollars. my prescriptions have been a little higher but only a couple thousand dollars. I am a bit confused about all of this.
In addition to his social security he also has a union pension as a Hollywood Lighting Director and lives in a low cost area. He is better off than many senior citizens.

If they had been invited to the wedding afterwards they all would have returned home and been forgotten. IMO Megan was ashamed of them.
What I dont understand is if he was really meant to be at the wedding, a wedding as big as that one, how comes he was still in Mexico so close to the wedding date.
He is father of the bride, surely he would need to be there for rehearsal, ensure he has a proper suit, also to meet Harry at least since he didnt meet him before.

I agree, in those high end situations and when you are in the wedding party, I don't see how you can just fly in a day or two before the wedding. And he never received a paper wedding invitation at all. Even for a keepsake. Crazy. It had to be planned like that from the beginning.

He fostered her sense of entitlement, fed her over inflated ego and indulged her narcissism. She never learned the meaning of personal responsibility or empathy for others because Thomas gave her everything she wanted and helped to conceal her misdeeds. Further, I believe he continues to cover for Meghan.

At first I thought Mr Markle a victim of Meghans treatment of him but lately I changed my opinion after seeing so much information how he brought up his daughter. Spoiling your child is totally fine, we all do as parents, but we set limits and instill morals and behavior at the same time. To make your child ready for the world out there, he/she has to learn that he/she is not better than anyone else, no matter the station in life you are born into, and that we all have to work hard and with honor to become a good world citizen. Mr Markle lied for Meghan in many instances and never taught her manners. So for me, sorry, mr markle is a villain: he created this monster!
