- It's hard to put into words how incredible Sean Backus' 2020 Hellion Twin Turbo GT500 is! With well over 200 GT500s tuned, even we didn't expect this type of power on the stock engine. With the addition of the plazmaman intake Sean's car pulls well north of 8000 RPM creating what may be the perfect Shelby GT500. What do you think? Sean's car was built by Racemod of Ohio

It’s truly amazing how smooth she rolls On the Dyno .I mean there is no ridiculous jolting or movement in between those high aggressive shifts and that’s amazing

Haven't you noticed that the truly heavy hitters start at 1200hp?! Haven't you noticed that 1000hp is the new 600hp?! There are 1000hp 4 bangers, and 2000hp 6cylinders. Headlights, taillights, turn signals, horn, glass, windshield wipers, bumpers, AC, airbags, navigation, etc. No one is the fastest, but why not be ready for the inevitable encounter? I stand by my original statement.
That thing would be a hoot on simply 5psi. I couldn't imagine the full 20
5psi is what it would be like with the stock supercharger. I'll be happy with 12psi of boost.

Ken set a record with a na 2v years ago and inspired me I’ve been following him since he’s by far the best tuner an a beast behind the wheel thanks ken for the inspiration
They did a dyno 4-5 years ago on a stock 5.0 and hit 900hp. Hellion said it’s more than capable of 1100 with their twin setup
I may have to kick up the heat on my forged,stroked & turbocharged lq9 LS build as I'm thinking y'all may just be able to hang with my old fbody if I don't.

WOW! I am just astonished amazed. I keep trying find the words to give that monster that it deserves, but there is no words that would even begin to do it justice. I mean seriously, it even sounds like a jet. It would be awesome to just get to drive such a beast. With that kind of power, I'm thinking dang what a rush.

Impressive. I will say,running on the street is much different. On a Dyno,you're not battling the elements outdoors. I can imagine this thing would have all kinds of traction issues!

@@jojog8304 big difference...Wolverine had an aftermarket built engine with zero factory parts and Terminators were able to make that and in better builds even more with factory block, heads, and crankshaft.

I really think this is gonna be up there with the GTR’s within regards to the crazy dct drag cars the motor is seeming to be able to take a considerable about of power, makes power easy, seems a little limited by DCT but it’s very early in the R&D of these cars... either way it sounds fucking amazing ❤️ excited to see where these kind of cars will be while they keep getting pushed to the limit
There’s a couple clutch kits out now for the drag strip guys. Apparently works pretty good
Ive gotta disagree ONLY because the GTR has AWD. Honestly think the GT500 is better in all other aspects.

Herrod performance here in Australia have offered a 2000hp twin turbo package for the past 2 years for the normal GT. We only have a handful of GT500’s.

It appears Ford built the GT500 to take whatever you throw at it. You have become the Guru of the 5.0 Coyote and 5.2 Predator. What kind of numbers do you think that GT500 will run. I'm guessing very low 9s into the 8s if it hooks up and the DTC operates flawlessly. Great video and fantastic information.
I keep telling people at car shows, meets and at the track….. you can not beat a Hellion Turbo System!!! End of discussion!!!!! seriously its the best turbo set up as well as the best power adder it’s just flat out unbeatable! I own a Twin Turbo Hellion S197 and I absolutely love it! @@427cidpower first off you have to lower your compression ratio to a safe level to make the power had a slightly lower RPM it's been done already that's why I'm able to speak on it and will provide the proof if need be?.
Yes 12:1 cr is a little bit high, but can still take medium boost on e85. Keep in mind all 2021 oem turbo cars are 11:1 cr now, so 12:1 is doable with good engine management.
The flatplane engine is the one to choose any how. Turbo will give you all the bottom end torque the engine can handle.

Very impressive but I’m concerned how it’s going to spool on the strip above 14psi.. it seems a little violent like it’s going to be a nightmare trying to get full power wo over ramping the curve to keep from just absolutely blowing off the tires mid track.. can’t wait to see you’re next video and how you handle this. It almost seems as though they need a slightly bigger compressor so it ramps a little smoother by lagging just a little.. running this fir the strip I think is going to be more then a few test hits and 60mph rolls might be a little scary for the same reasons.. going to take a lot of work and a driver who can peddle this a little

Evolution performance outside of Philadelphia here got 1500 horsepower out of theirs. They have another one with 2200
We did this months before Evolution put the 3.8L Whipple on their car. There is no 2020 GT500 making 2200hp
@@PalmBeachDyno the second one isn't a 2020 they have a video of the car on CZcams running at Atco& yes it definitely is 2200 horsepower. Not to discredit your shop they setting World Records before anyone really was
