A missed opportunity to expand on the character of King Cold. The game does very well with diving into Dragon Ball lore, and chatting with characters to learn more about them. Then we have characters like King Cold, who you don't even fight. Even his sub story isn't worth mentioning. Hopefully a DLC comes along where he does something notable. We are talking about a guy who ruled the universe before Frieza. Frieza also mentions (during the Namek portion) that his father was the only one to give his true form a challenge before facing Goku. Therefore, King Cold deserves a chance to shine. Oh, another weird thing is that Ms. Briefs does not make an appearance in the game. So strange. Ms. Briefs was a very funny and adorable character in the anime.
when people dont understand the meaning of side characters: they arent important so they usually dont have much history or techniques of their own. what major thing does king cold do in dragon ball in general. When I think king cold I think the guy who told freeza and cooler about the god of destruction, not the guy who holds trunks' sword and dies to energy beam if u want to dlc about someone then make sure they have one on-screen fight and isnt only involved in a single arc.

Agreed, this is something I hate about anime/manga in general, it’s the lack of lore building. You’ll have these incredibly intriguing characters/races/factions/concepts that are rarely touched upon beyond a very surface-level backstory. The Japanese put far more emphasis on aesthetics rather than fleshing out the lore. Friezas race is never explored, the backstories of amazing characters like Beerus and Dabura are never even touched upon. Its like they are characters that just pop into existence in order to move the plot forward, dont think about. Why didn’t Babidi recruit Frieza? Don’t think about it. It’s criminal.
And yes, it’s a shame we didn’t get to see MILF.
I find this fight funny considering Trunks completely washed them and didn’t even give them time to attack

Frieza's and King Cold's deaths were even shorter than the original anime!
Of course it will be like that, but not like this. They completely cut out the scene with king cold, and friezas POV while falling apart. Many iconic moments missed

Bt3 is still the best and most complete dragon ball game ever made. Raging Blast 2 is second and RB 1 is third.
I still play BT3 o. My ps2 and now have it on an emulator on pc it's the best DB game by far

I seriously wish this game had QTEs like Naruto Storm and Asura's Wrath did. Those were some fantastic moments during boss fights.

@Long Tang I couldn't care less about a better score. It's just that CC2 is known for amazing cinematics during QTEs and it shows in their Naruto Storm games and Asura's Wrath. Seeing it not being put into use with Kakarot just makes the big boss fights boring. The fight just ends and you just sit back to wait for the cutscene to be over. We know the story to DBZ countless times already, so something like QTEs can make it feel refreshed.

So in trunks timeline frieza actually waited for Goku. I was so confused as to how he knew if he used instant transmission, but reality is he never used it
Fun fact: king cold could easily dispose of trunks because king cold can transform and frieza wasn’t using his fp
Wasn’t proven in the manga or anime therefore we don’t know but doubt it since both Cooler & Frieza died by SSJ’s

Why do they always censor Frieza's death. Yes, he gets sliced in half and then cut into pieces but it's more epic rather than bloody.
To much effort to make the sliced in half/pieces models and animate it, just for one scene.

If you're gonna pay for an expensive game we all hope that the cut scenes are done with care and make the overall experience worth playing and paying. The only game I can think of that had awesome cutscenes, except for this particular death, is dragon ball z Budokai 1. They featured blood and made the cutscenes enjoyable. Very close to the anime.

I stopped watching this at 9:44. This is the most cringe worthy slapped together production at its peak in terms of a Dragon Ball Z Experience. I overstand this a video game but good grief...the dialogue suck ass, holds no weight as the banter from the original anime, the events are subbed or taken out from the original anime, even the cutscenes made me put my head down. To each his own if you liked this but I genuinely believe they did my boy trunks a great disservice here and even the notably vile Frieza. I read the comments about how Long Cold didn't get any spotlight and indeed he was definitely supposed to get his shine from the original anime...Man was supposed to take trunks' sword and use against, was supposed to get blasted through his chest and turn on his own flesh in a mere attempt to ask for mercy from a Saiyan before getting wiped off the face of the earth...I could go on. This hands down disheartened me for being a DBZ fan. Like I said I get this a video game but aren't video games supposed to increase in value and production, especially from a continuity aspect? Otherwise they'd quit making the next great version. Never played this game, and I don't think I will. This is Dragon Ball Z : KAKAROT...you supposed to get an Ultimate experience through his or any other playable characters eyes as they confront and deal with anything they ever encountered. As a child I always wondered and wished they'd make something like this to experience they're inner thought processes, feelings, and motives to move on the actions that made up their stories. Maybe this is what the younger generation just likes. Marketing and Advertising, instant gratification...give em something quick and engaging and sell higher. Lol

they had to make unclean cutscenes at some points because there are 11 HOURS OF CUTSCENES there have to cut some corners.
