Edit: It looks like this issue is bigger than I thought. A-ha also blocked The Band of the Spartans video worldwide, forcing the creator to mute the audio like me. It seems like A-ha is going around and blocking all videos that use Take On Me. This really sucks... and it's confusing because A-ha literally made money from my video. @@satyamSaha Actually, Ned has existed way before that but he's nothing like his MCU version, as you said, he's more like Ganke so, in the end, MCU Ned is a mix of the two.
I love that Ned has become a Meme, there's just something about Spider-Man that makes otherwise lower characters just perfect for that kind of stuff.

He may be basically nothing like the Ned Leeds from the comics, but he is quite an endearing character.
He's Ned Leeds in name only. The character is based on Ganke Lee, a friend of Miles Morales.

@@aquin3066 i don't think his similarity to ganke was deliberate, they just wanted a comic relief character and wanted him to be connected to spider-man universe. That's probably why they did name it as ned instead of a new character.
