The problem with the IPCC is it's a massive organization, with lots of scientists on big pay cheques and their funding model depends on there being an ongoing existential crisis with the climate. That's not to say they're lying or even over-egging the pudding with their forecasts; but there would be job losses and a lot let funding if they ever dialed them down

If you're a scientist, you have two choices. Tick the box that agrees with the consensus, and you get massive funding, or tick the other box which goes against the narrative, and you get nothing, and you get censored, slandered and demonised. IPCC mandate is to summarise potential catastrophe. It was not mandated to explore the benefits of natural climate change. It is, therefore, tainted and of no benefit.
