    Greetings from Oklahoma, Frank! Sorry it took so long to find your video. My wife and I recently took delivery of a lightly used 1025R with a backhoe and mower (and the loader, of course). Not my first tractor, nor is it our only tractor. But watching your genuine excitement and how happy you were with your new tractor took me back to when I bought my first and how it made me feel. I laughed at how you kicked the dirt off your boots as you got on, how you forgot a time or two to put it in "N" before getting off, and a few other rookie mistakes. I only laughed because you remined me of me when I did the same things. Sometimes I just go out and tinker with them just because I can. I hope you enjoy many years with your machine and I look forward to seeing a video of you teaching that tiny little tractor operator how to work the tractor when she's old enough.

      Hey thank you very much for the nice comment from Oklahoma! I certainly was excited when I got my tractor. And I have to say I’m still excited when I get to use it. I love the damn thing. Definitely have gotten much better with it these days! I can’t wait for my little girl to be able to drive it!

    its great to see a newbie work its way through it, i have driven front loaders, bobcats etc back in the day, but never owned one. Thinking about getting my own tractor and its great to see a step by step trouble shooting, blooper, honest review vid about it, thanks a lot and hope the tractor works great for you bud. EDIT: every time i was done with the video you decided to move something bigger lol nice cliff hangers

I just bought your machine, ha, ha, a 1025R with backhoe. Haven't got delivery yet, I am just as excited as you. We men and our toys. I had to laugh out loud when you said you wanted to avoid scratching the bucket. Just remember scares are proof it can do the job. Good luck.

      @@FrankDiNardi I love it. I live in the Pacific Northwest and my property was a Christmas tree farm back in the 70's. So I have a lot of work for it. We also just put in a rv spot for my son's 5th wheel. We had the job bid out about a year ago and they all wanted between 6 and 8 thousand dollars. Great video! I ordered my 1025r with bucket, backhoe and 54" mower deck two weeks ago ... it is a factory order and with the Deere strike we may not see it for 12 weeks or more. The trucker shortage might add to that as well, delivery to western Washington is a question mark. The nearest unit like this was in Oregon. Our local dealer had a good price on a factory ordered one. I know you will enjoy your new baby ... and your daughter too! Stay safe! ps I'm too old at 71 to be hand digging stumps from three 60ft cedars!

    Frank: Really enjoyed your video! So happy a dream of yours came true. Curious; do you think it is large enough? I debate between a 1025 and 2025 as I too have a six plus acre parcel. Very similar but the 2025 is heavier with a larger frame. Also, have you used an augur attachment?

    • @FrankDiNardi
      @FrankDiNardi  Před měsícem

      Hi Tim. Thanks very much I really appreciate it. Yes I think the 1025 is large enough. Again my property I’m only able to do stuff on half of it so it’s not like I’ve got access to the full 6+ acres because we’ve got that nature land there but for what I need it for it’s perfect. I can get it around my yard just perfect, I move forward with it perfectly, plowing snow is great. For me it’s perfect size. I’ve never had any thought that I needed something bigger!
      I’ve never used the auger attachment. I’ve never even taken the bucket or the backhoe off the machine so that’s all I’ve ever used. Someday I’d like to get a box blade to tune up my driveway cause I’m sure it will at some point would definitely be on the list for the future. Probably just a manual one with no hydraulics.

      Hi Jay. So actually I did not even have to haggle with them. When I had called the dealership on that Saturday and the guy told me the price of the machine with just a bucket on it I thought to myself “wow that seems less than it was when I priced it out online“
      So when I went to the dealership we were walking around and he showed me the one with the backhoe on it and told me the price of it. I had said “Mike that sounds like a lot less than it was when I priced it out online“ he proceeded to tell me that they are in the business of selling tractors and not having them sit around on the lot. Why try to charge too much money for them and you could go buy one somewhere else. At that point, I couldn’t turn the deal down.

      Hey that’s awesome.
      I used to work for somebody who had a really nice Kabota that was just about the same size as the 1025. I’m really close to the guy and in the back of my mind I was always hoping that someday when he passed away he would leave it to me. He’s in his upper 70s and in pretty good health but he’s the type of guy that would do something like that.

      I have 6 1/2 acres but three of them are nature Conservancy land so I can’t do anything with that. So I have 3 1/2 acres that I can play with in my driveway is 1000 feet long

    When you're using the backhoe don't use the stabilizer arms to bear all the weight, they aren't heavy duty to use as full on outriggers

    Why would you get a plastic tractor. Tractors are not toys. John Deere are 90% plastic.
