I can not grow Hostas very well in my yard …my yard is 100% sun. It is just June 1 and it’s 89°. It’s really too hot for these plants and I have no shade but they are stunning. I love these.
Any salvias for zone 9?😊

I notice you just place leaves in pot. My night temperature is low 50 degrees, my leaves have been inside - can I place them outside?
Hi Dorothy, depending on the plant, low 50s is typically safe to begin transitioning them outdoors! All of the plants used in these containers have been on my front porch since I planted them and have held up beautifully in cold night time temps- even a few hard frosts.

I just received an order from Proven Winners direct and they were very poorly packed and the soil fell out of the container. Is this typical of what can be expected?

That's what just happened to me on this last order I received. They had half of the soil out and a couple were upside down. I'm going to call someone on Monday about this.

@@rooney2561 Proven Winners plants are very healthy and vigorous when they leave our greenhouse. However, as living things, plants always have the potential to become stressed during shipping. The good news is that this is almost always only a cosmetic issue, that does not impact a plant’s overall health, because they have a strong root system! How are they doing now that you have them planted?
