Well done! As a Texan, I approve. If that looks like a massive amount of chili powder and cumin, you’re right. That’s how you make chili. And nice touch with the blended dried chilies. Look like Anchos, which is a good choice.
And no shade for adding beans. Some old school folks think beans have no place in chili. I think it’s totally valid to add beans to a chili you’re just eating from a bowl. If I’m putting it on something (hot dog, frito pie, fries, etc.) i prefer no beans.
I like beans but just not a lot. A little adds a nice touch. Some people over due it though
Fellow Texan here, couldn’t help but notice the beans…🙄
It’s a good way to feed the family. Adds a little protein and makes more servings. Good meal for any struggling parents to make.
Order is up chef: a REAL Wiener Schnitzel with potato salad please
Chili looks amazing
Für mich auch eins bitte!
You have my vote on this

That looks yummy! I like that this setting is used sometimes when Andy cooks. I love how Andy chopped that onion 😊
This is at another place where he works. He's like an ambassador for their meat company.
I wish I had those chopping skills.
I add a few squares of dark chocolate…it makes the chilli sing!
Then is would be Mole.😊
Something relaxing about watching this man cook.
Nothing beats this dish on a chilly (pun intended) fall night. My dad used to make it every Halloween before my brothers and I would go trick or treating. The nostalgia alone is the reason chili has a special place in my heart. Thanks for the recipe chef
Same, my dad did too 😁👍. Nostalgia 🙏
That’s such a good hearty meal before a grand adventure!😂 getting king size bars were the best
My mom used to do the same!
Funny, how so much of our great memories are tied to food. Forever my *Ain't. Sissy" used to make a big ol' pit of chilli on Christmas Eve, feeds lots of people , easy clean up for , present time, games, etc. and...(later in life BEERS!!) Good times , fun family, great chilli. Thanks for making this Chef, and sending us all down memory lane!! ✌️😁
P.S. beer goes GREAT with chilli!!!😛
Us too!! A big bowl of chili with cornbread and chili dogs are our Halloween feast. 😊❤ I love this
Браво на Анди!
Много се радвам да имам честта да научавам за рецептите, които го радват и готви с любов, защото съм не по-малко страстен готвач от него! Нека сме здрави!

i love chilli con carne with rice and corn chips/doritos! this looked so yum
I was born and raised in New Mexico, near Hatch - I'm impressed! Your ingredients and methods are very close to what I would use. Closest I've ever seen on CZcams.
Lovely to hear
Born and raised in las cruces nm definitely something more like chili. Chile con carne is cooked with bigger chunks of meat
@@elerma94judging by your name I assume you know con carne just means with meat. This is definitely that.
Id love to make some chili but need a recipe! Can someone help? 🙏🏽
the recipe is in the description, ie click on the three dots on the right side
My favorite burrito stuffer. I grew up eating Mexican food and chili Colorado is a favorite.
That's not chili Colorado. It looks good, though. Doesn't even come close to my recipe.
@@ronaldandlinda I know but red chili is about as close as I’ve seen him make here. I’m happy he didn’t use ground beef.
I always put the chili rice and beans in a tortilla and made a burrito. Mom’s family was Mexican so we ate a lot of home cooked Mexican food.
That's so happening on this cloudy day. Bless Andy 🙌
Andy your knife skills are next level. Years of practice!
Wonde how many bandaids he went thru to acquire that skill? 🤕
Order up chef: Chicken Cacciatore with Herb and Garlic Pasta.
I just made chilli con carne today, think yours might be a bit better though!
Thank you ,Chef Andy.
I love a good bowl 🥣 of chili.
But Chili con carne I like with Shredded Beef.
I also like to make Tamales & a Southwestern cowboy soup it's wonderful!
Just needs some Fritos corn chips, cornbread, or white rice! Much love from Texas!
Or crackers, here in the midwest...
But personally hit me with some sweet Cornbread! Yezzir
Dude he put beans in
@@strongxhandsAnd? If you knew anything about the history of where chili comes from, you’d know it included beans. It was Texans (probably white, since beans are a staple of Mexican food) who decided to pretend that never happened.
@@omcorc I prefer beans in my chili, but nearly every Texan I’ve ever spoke to thinks it’s a travesty. Oh and btw, I don’t need to know the entire “history of chili” to have an opinion on it (a more informed one, at that).
Good day sir🫡
@@strongxhandsso what's the problem? I like chili with or without beans, doesn't matter.
From one Andy to another, I'd like to order up some shrimp and grits. 😎
what does grit mean in this sense
I wish a double Andy would come over and punch me right in the Gigachad! 😘 😘 😘
@kandam5517 grits I think to Americans is like cornmeal... soft and tasty, almost like Italian polenta?

Think oatmeal, but corn.
Wow great job andy you did wonderful 💯💯 chili con carne is one of my favorites
Looks delicious!! Even when it's 95 degrees outside where I live😂😂 Next time you make that Andy, please ensure I have an invitation to join you❤❤
Where do you live ?
Wait are you talking with fahrenheit? I was shock when I first saw this comment
It's already over 100 degrees out here in Arizona and summer just barely starting 💀

I can literally smell that through the screen looks amazing
Love it with a spud and butter and cheese
This chil "i" beats new Mexico green chil "e" anyday!!!!
WAIT. I don't think I've ever noticed Andy's GORGEOUS SLEEVES BEFORE???!?
Cut up some beef cubes, turn them in flour and paprika. Fry those and use that as base. The flour thickens the dish and the beef adds texture.
Are you a professional??
Hope you feel better soon, Andy! Love ya mate.
Is he not well?
@@ivorpavlovic7997 I’m not sure, but he said he felt like a bowl of chili con carne. That didn’t sound like a good thing to feel like!
@@FromPoetryToRap you do know people sometimes just crave some kind of food, right? Doesn't mean they're ill if they crave some hearty dish
@@AmitB jesus man. I tried to make a punny joke. It didn’t land on anybody though 😩
There are 2 factions for chili lovers in Texas...those who are bean free and those with beans. Definitely agree with my fellow Texans that you need some rice or cornbread for the complete meal. Keep cooking Andy!
Some jalapeño cornbread goes HARD
Oh ya jalapeno cornbread. I need the beans....I lived in TX til 10 or so then lived in northwest Indiana for like 13 yrs or whatever...so the beans absolutely made it for me with the chili. After moving back, my bf I have a son with is so anti beans, I end up having to split the batch....my kids I don't think mind it because they grew up in nwi for some years so they are used to our recipes. Idk you need a balance of veg and meat. Of course my bf inhales straight meat on the daily.
Dude the jalapeno cornbread would be so fckn good with some honey mixed in at the end or on top.....mmmm. maybe a dollop of daisy on the chili ...maybe some cilantro...maybe some lime....man I'm gonna make some and try it out.
So one day I was hungover and my fridge was empty but I had some chilli naan leftover so ate it with a bowl of chilli, it will change your life 😂😂
Definitely different than my recipe, but looks delicious. I don't know about the black eyed peas, but could be good!
Chicago hot dog stands do a "chili boat" with chili and cheese on top of some tamales, which is pretty top notch, they peel the tamales first of course!
Orders up, chef.
Carne en su jugo for Aaron.
We use kidney beans but that looks excellent!
Apparently not in Texas 😂

Oh! Right your in winter now!!! Your winter is still hot!!!
Orders up chef! Chilli con carne for Uncle Andy!
Mmmm looks fantastic Thank you for sharing chef Andy have a blessed day stay safe and healthy. Love your knife skills the best. 🙏❤🙏❤🙏❤
As a Tejano person, I approve this dish. Except for da beans (that’s just my preference but to each their own) but everything else is perfect 👨🍳💋
Don't you guys eat a shit ton of beans in general? Why are beans so offensive in chili specifically?
@@metaLungiez I never said it was offensive. I said it was my personal preference and everyone has their own preference. I guess I worded my paragraph wrong and so it came off as if I was saying that. And no we don’t eat a lot of beans like that. It’s only with certain dishes. And beans aren’t traditional in chili, but I still see nothing wrong in adding beans if that’s what you and other people prefer.
And just to add, I don’t understand why people get offended by beans in chili. It’s just a variation that happened overtime and there’s nothing wrong with that. But yeah sorry, I worded my comment wrong. I didn’t intend for it to come off like that
Looks legit
Oh yummmmm! ❤
Man i wanna try it 😭

Bison is great for chili. Has a depth of flavor that works well with the kidney beans. I like to mix dark red with light red beans. Not a huge cumin fan but needs some to make it chili!

Anyone else thinking of the song "Chili con Carne" that every high-school jazz choir sings? It's been stuck in my head for 20 years. Now it's in yours 😈
My eyes have watered from watching all those spices go in!
Very nice! It's apparent from your videos that you are an extremely skilled and talented chef. Thanks for the awesome videos.
Good chef always cooking with tallow.
Cooked this tonight, first time I've ever eaten a chili con carne and I'm 33. I don't like spice, but following this recipe and using a generous amount of sour cream to serve, I was surprised by the depth of flavour the dish had for the 45m cook time. I think the use of beef tallow and giving the mince some dark browns when browning really takes it to the level the dish is famous for. Awesome meal, thanks guys 👌.
looks good Andy
I thank God for cans.
You took that to a whole other level 😋
YEEESSSS, I love Chili con carne, I eat it with rice 🤤
Looks delicious, I will say that carne is pronounced kar-nay, not karn
Looks good. I would use red kidney beans.
I am a chef too and oh my gosh that looks extremely well executed and I can see the caramelisation which will make it incredible
Buen provecho, amigo! 👋🏻🤠
