- Searching $500 in $1 Bills and $1000 in $5 Bills for Star Notes and Fancy or Cool Serial Numbers! I picked up $1500 worth of federal reserve notes from local banks hoping to find more star notes, any valuable bills, or any fancy serial numbers in these circulated stacks of bills.
I hope you enjoy this bit of bill hunting with me. I was super happy to find not only quite a few $1 star notes BUT a few other cool notes as well.
Do you check your bills (money) for fancy or cool serial numbers? If so, what denominations do you hunt most? What is your best serial # score or your oldest bill found?

Hello RobFindsTreasure , I also collect bills and nice bill that someone gave you, I have a lot of star note and I have found a six of a kind with a star note on it
I definitely like the longer video format. Its nice to see how difficult it is to locate a find and the payoff for finding each seems greater. I thought that this video was a good length.
RobFindsTreasure so why were star notes made?
Have you try a 50 bill hunt
Are there any rolls available for tonight
I personally like the time-lapsed hunts. It's almost like ASMR, lol.
I got in the habit of "righting" my bills when I worked cash registers. My boss always told me that when you do that it shows that you are paying close attention to what you are taking into your register and also what is going out.
Im a cashier and I check the Bill's too when I'm at work
Awesome!! Love the bill searches and honestly would love to see another junk silver searchđ love the vids
Hard to find junk silver right now!
@@RobFindsTreasure sorry forgot to clarify I meant for the Future
@@RobFindsTreasure hey rob I actually got some from money metals exchange, if it's still in stock get some. I havent checked recently but they had TONS the last time I ordered (which was still when this pandemic was happening)
Longer videos don't bother me at all!! I could watch coin and bill searching like a movie!!
Have a GREAT Day!!!
Sweet finds Rob as always! Glad to see your channel has grown so much! Loving the bill searching lately
Rob couldn't wait to see what you had found and what's your rarest coin ever found
Wow, what a flashback. While you were searching the $1 and talking about rare serial numbers all I could think about was back in the late '70's I bought $200 in singles for a "liars poker" night with friends. I took a quick look through just to see if anything stood out and I found a bill that was 77777778 and bang, you turn up a 7-7's bill. No clue the year nor letters on my bill. I kept that bill in my wallet for 20 yrs just in case a liars poker game suddenly popped up. I ended up giving it to a friends son. Wished I would have kept now. Thanks for the memories.
Great story brother!
Barr notes were only issued for a few days at the end of the Johnson adminstration. we considered them minor rarities when I was a kid.
Love your vids!! Enjoy watching u have fun!!
Love the bill searches!
I donât get a chance to search bills or coins, aside for pocket change. This is due to the fact that my parents do t understand why I want to search money. Plus we never really go to the bank, I donât expect them to go out of the way for something they donât understand. But I am going to be working on that over quarantine.
Always fun to watch! Definitely like see the entire hunt with time lapse.
Cool hunt and video, thanks for sharing brother!
Love it as always
YES! Would love to see your birthday note collection. Good hunt, even though no major finds. Always fun to watch! See you tonight...
I love your vids, rob! To the next search!
Rob very informative! I liked seeing the star notes - the off camera is fine for some
Clicked right away canât wait to see what you found! Question: whatâs your best CRHâing find?
I have a few goodies, but my favorite is my 1976 DDO Quarter.
@@RobFindsTreasure can I buy all the 0804 $1 bills for $2 each, I collect sequential serial numbers
@@davidhiebert4354 sequentials are common as dirt when you get uncirculated bills
Love watching all of your Hunt's, keep them coming!! BOO YAA!!
I actually enjoyed how you were going through the first few straps of dollars
Cool video! Thanks for sharing đ
When I see notes folded I have to fold them back. I canât help myself I just have to do it
I love the longer videos rob keep them up
I like the longer videos. But I'll take what I can get. That was fun. Thanks, Rob!
Good luck looks good! Oh also I got a bill with a cool serial number it is 01999007 and they made a James bond movie in 1999 so pretty cool
Love
your vids
I like your bill searching vids! Hope to see some more gold too.. tis the season
Super cool Rob
That was a great search.
Rob - I don't know if it's a "ladder" type, but at 3:02 you have K12034615....so 0 through 6, with double 1's. I don't know much about serial number searching. Hope that helps if it's good!
It's ok, but I only collect true ladders in general
BOOOOOOOM STACKS OF CASH!!!!!!!! AWESOME HUNT BRO
Boom bill searches are so fun
@RobFindsTreasure the little red stamp that was on that1 bill is an aerosmith stamp
Good catch!
Got them bills Rob hope you get lucky with all your searches
nice video rob nice finds
Even if it was a hour long video, I'd still watch it. Thanks rob your videos are always fun and interesting.
I look forward to your videos.
Hey rob, I think it would be awesome if you made a bill searching matđ€thanks for all you do!!!
Hey rob, went through my pennies a few weeks ago and i found somthing interesting in my pennies, i found a 1942 P wheatie in decent condition
Wow! at 9:57 you showed a Barr Note and you didn't even mention it! I have never found one in a search so I'm jealous! Great bill search video, keep up the hunts!
OMG - I always forget something! Only 28 days in position, I forgot to bring it up!
Nice job rob
Did you see the broken "Jenny's Number" near the end of the 1st stack of 1's?? LOL!!!
I did, but not in order!
I prefer the shorter edited style of bill hunting just like this one.
That 63 Series B is a rare series as Barr was only in office for a short time! Enjoy the bill hunts!
I know! I forgot to mention that!
@@RobFindsTreasure I presumed you knew it!
Rob if u see this I love your channel I showed your channe km to all my friends much loveđ€đ„șâ€
Hey Rob love bill searches!! But can't wait till Wednesday!! Lets find some silver!!
I love that 1963 bill. I like the older bills more than the cool serial numbers, even though they dont fetch as much. I definitely enjoy the time lapses. But I get that it makes your hunt longer. :)
9:57 This is a Barr note! :D Worth probably around 2 to 10 dollars but still a good find!
Love the video and yeah search every bill plz
Love your currency search vids!! My bill with the âcoolestâ serial number is surprisingly not a $1 but a $50, with the serial number being 3977770 (if only the last digit was a 7 too)
Nice
My father worked at the printing place to repair the copiers, and he got to see 25 dollar bills that never came out. They made them to test some new ink.
Rob Finds Bills
That 1963 was a Barr note. Itâs pretty uncommon! Incredible job!
anything misaligned such as numbers or seals I keep . error notes are very collectible, also over inking, ink spotting, thread that is misplaced and other errrors I keep.
Found by first star note a few weeks ago!
Nice vid
I have a 1928 2 dollar bill .. I love the video
Hey Rob! Just wanted to let ya know I really enjoy watching your bill searches because I feel like I can understand the value of these a lot better then coins just due to the simplicity of bill searching. It's seems like you do a lot more videos on coin hunting rather then bills so I really appreciate the bill searching videos! Also, do you get to keep that near solid bill a subscriber sent you, and how much would a bill like that be worth?
Rob, interested in starâłïžnote that's has an error on the star itself? A solid greenâłïžstar on a 2017 banknote. It is an an extremely rare find. If you or anyone else is interested in this odd star note pleaseâłïž let me know, enjoy your videos,âïž *Note: to those who are not aware of star notes/replacement notes..modern star notes have the white dot in the middle of a green out line star.*
That top strap of ones was strapped 1 day after my birthday!
Hi Rob, Right now you could do longer videos, with us all at home, Your friend, MikeđšđŠđšđŠđšđŠđšđŠ
Love the star notes BY THE WAY Almost all 777s thatâs sweet...it has a zero so ALL 777s lol
Love the search - my wife's bday is 5/10, so close!
Hello RobFindsTreasure I collect Star notes and I have a lot of Star notes
ROB, you didn't mention that your old bill is a Barr note! Nothing too special but it's worth a mention
I searched $500 in ones a couple days ago and only found 1 star note
I work as a cashier and I opened up my register and saw 15 star notes all in order and fresh new. I thought that was pretty neat
in that 3rd stack, there were a bunch that started with 080
long vids gimmie more rob!
As always, I really enjoy every one of your hunts and gave it a thumbs up. I've got an idea for all those straps of discards. You can mail them to me, and you won't have to deal with the clutter. I'll dispose of them for you and pay the postage of course, wouldn't want you to be out of pocket :-) :-D
I got warm fuzzies...Had to show my Son :) I would show off cool gifts too...even if they are in poor shape.
It's one of my 2 favorite bills brother and I will cherish it always!
It's amazing (2 me) that the 07777777 note got so beat up in circulation B 4 somebody noticed all those 7's. I have a one in my collection that's 07777074 plus it's a FRB of Chicago so where your one has 4's mine has more (4 more) 7's plus it's a 2017 series so my note has a total of 15 sevens on the face of it so it was a keeper for me. As for the "Barr" note, I have about 8 or 9 Uncirculated in my collection and five are star notes. I did not find them myself but I did not pay much for them either about 20 years ago. It's my understanding they are not that rare as a lot of collectors knew about them back when Johnson was president in last month or so.
Hi Rob, how collectible are X Bills and I have one Y Bill as well.
Loved the currency hunt!!!
My daughter's birthday is 05042012...soo close!!!
I would have kept that 95 tho... lol
0:06 BILZZ
I prefer the longer videos Rob!
Donât know if anyone else noticed this but at the very beginning of the oneâs he went by four serial numbers that were in a row (sorta)
9:58 You forgot to mention that the 1963 bill was a Barr Note. Limited production because the secretary of treasury Joseph W. Barr only served for 28 days.
My daughter's birthday in May 9th (0509) and she graduated high school in 2012.
@ 2:33 someone already pointed out 5 bills with the first six digits #35503... (68, 70, 71, 72, and 73)
@ 5:00 there is a near ladder #13425068. Not sure if its valuable, but thought it was cool. Been binge watching your content during quarantine.
Goddamn it man I got tricked by the cover. Still watched though, hunt was pretty good. Keep on hunting!
Edit: Don't do it again or the other council of coin youtubers will decide your fate.
Nice Barr Note
They were only printed in January 1969 before Nixon became President, so that is a nice 51 year old Banknote.
At 2:33 you found 5 bills that were extremely close to each other, 4 of them being in a row, one of them was a 68, the others were 70,71,72, and 73. Alone I am sure they were worth nothing, but if you sold them together
Quick question: if you have a star note in the higher orangish red side of the spectrum on the star note lookup site, how much do you think it could sell for?
It was kinda epic seeing 35503068 and 35503070 next to each other in used dollars
Went to the bank yesterday and picked up a $100 strap of $1 bills and to my surprise 99 of them where star notes never happened to me before normally I'm lucky if I get 1 or 2 in a strap
nice display
At 5:13 bill # D35933916G, on the left serial number the first 9 was heavily inked and the second 9 was a bit below the level of the other numbers. I wouldn't have kept it either, but it was close.
Hey Rob. I have been a fan of your videos for a while. I am wondering if Bill and coin hunting makes your good money as a side hustle. Also do you have any advise for beginners like me starting a journey.
Love bill searching have several 2 number bills and several very low numbers 5 and 6 0 number bills
One of those bills is my social security number minus the last one!
Have you come across many Confederate notes or anything pre 1900 besides buying in a store?
ONLY a few silver certificates and red seals.
Hi rob i am a huge fan but I have some questions. What do you do with your copper pennies. What banks do you think give the best penny boxes. My last question is how much do you put back toward coin hunting.Thank you for your time.
When are you going to make a bill collecting mat?
Could you please do note hunt searches more often also I bought a Hawaiian silver certificate that was Soo close to being rare. The serial number was 04601607 if the 0 swapped places with the 6 it would have been the date Godspeed, Susan Constant, and Discovery arrived at the Spanish colony of Puerto Rico, where they stopped for provisions before continuing their journey.
Do you go thru the bills and look for mismatch serial numbers? I love currency collecting but it is so expensive. I would love if the mint would go back to the very old type. Those were art, not just currency.
Has the design of the ones ever been changed?
That 1963 b note is a rare bill known as a Barr Bill, because Joesph W. Barr held secretary of treasury for 28 days and his bills are rarer
So is it only on the back of $1 bill u have to look at it all bills?
