The difference is very minute with the use of f*** and d*** throughout the removal of the old exhaust process. It may also be followed with an angle grinder and waiting for additional parts to arrive before being able to completely assemble the exhaust.
Running extra pipe around the spare tire adds more restriction, cost, I prefer to run two pipes straight out the right side. Unfortunately, I have yet to find a cat back kit that will have pre bent Mandel tail pipes. My rig is not presently a F150, but I did cut out the y pipe on a 02 f150 5.4 and run true duals..

Spare tire will clear. Cat to muffler is 3" after muffler is 2¼"
No tune or anything else needed?
No tune required. But adding a tune will always compliment a free-flowing exhaust system.
