- Souvenir video of the 1996 AFL Grand Final opening ceremony, celebrating the 100th VFL/AFL season. This video was made for the child performers who participated in the event, including preparations, rehearsals as well as the ceremony itself.
This absolutely destroys the pre-game entertainment we have this day and age.

Thanks so much for uploading this! My old VHS just didn't stand the test of time. That was a day I'll never forget. 8 weeks of rehearsals in the freezing cold and rain......was worth every minute for such an experience. What the video didn't show you was at the end of the last song, the first dozen or so rows of the choir were unexpectedly told to stay on the ground, and told to sing the national anthem with John Farnham.......totally unrehearsed! They likely didn't tell us beforehand as it would have been really unfair on the rest of the choir. I was standing just behind Lisa Edwards.

I haven't seen this since it aired in 96. Great to see it again and good to see John, Vanetta, Lisa and Lindsay perform along side others not too often seen.
