Is there a good reason for all the bolts and not some plug/slot welds instead? I like the beefiness of the jaws. I might SMAW them a little more solid. I'm definitely scrounging in the scrap bin next week and giving this one a try.

Hello thanks for your comment! No, the use of bolts is not necessary, this is for people who do not have a welding machine.
What concerns the jaws, of course, can be made more beefiness .
