That's so cool to learn Steve played the licks on Train Kept A Rollin. Years before I ever got a guitar, this was inspiration. Thanks again, Jason! Love music history. Miss studying album sleeves to know who did what. Even if the record company omitted important factors. Standing in the Shadows of Motown comes to mind. The Wrecking Crew. Lol Another great interview. 🖖

Jason, you impress me more every single time i watch one of your interviews. people that i had no idea who they are, or even artists that i thought i had no interest in have become fascinating because of your interviewing style. you really do your homework and ask questions that other interviewers don't even think of asking. this is another one of those instances. at first i didn't think i was going to hang out for the whole interview, but by the end, i was hoping for more! great job again!
if i could request an interview with someone? Blas Elias from Slaughter. i guess he plays in the Blue Man Group now there in Vegas.

It’s an excellent record. It receives a lot of negativity only because Joe Perry was out of the band. Most people who actually give RIAHP a fair listen likes it better than any of the original band’s 80s or 90s output.

Why didn't you ask them what happen to the live concerts from alice cooper goes to hell 1976 tour and lace & whiskey tour 1977 because there are no live concerts audio or video tapes on youtube. I heard that Dick Wagner got sick also and couldn't tour because there is a 2 year gap missing before Davey Johnstone took over Dick Wagner and how did steve hunter feel about playing with Davey Johnstone for the from the inside tour 1978. Steve Hunter might know why the keyboardist Jozef Chirowski left the group, any reasons why because he was really good player. You also didn't even ask what guitar pedal effects did they use on the welcome to my nightmare tour and other tours that Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner use.

  • @kevincaliva2449

Great interview!! Steve Hunter seems like a good dude who sees the best in people. Anytime that Jason asked about a particular artist Steve would always bring up that person's strong points and talk about why it was great to work with them. Maybe that is why he was so successful as a sideman; he applied his talents to accentuate each artist's strengths.
I would really like to know if there are any live recordings of Peter Gabriel with Steve and Robert Fripp on guitar. That had to be an epic meeting of the visceral and the cerebral in rock guitar.

With Joe Holmes,my memory of it is sketchy other than DLR on a giant microphone in the crowd,Warrant doing the spin to the knees in Down Boys…and having awful seats way at the back.
