Rapala lures used: RNR 05, Max Rap 13, Shadow Rap 11.

Thank you bro for your encouragement, the Topmouth is found in many lakes, landlocked freshwater area in China. Scientific name is Culter alburnus.
@@fredfishandcook yeah bro i just mentioned because the similarities with the infamous tarpon is uncanny you know the mouth shape and position,the eyes and the color too and been a science freak that I am can't help but mention it still jealous of all the cool tackle you guys have over there and i finally got a rod from the Asian market is not a Storm branded one but is cool

They used Rapala lures to catch Chinese fish in China meanwhile I'm catching a ton of American fish with those cheap Chinese lures I bought from Aliexpress! Hehehe! 😝😜
Well to be fair those chinese lures are mainly made to sell to people in the western part of the world, as predator fishing is way bigger here than in China as far as I am aware, more of carp and catfish kinda country from what my friends tell me.
Aslo the same could be said for using Rapala's in America seeing as they are Finnish but americans use em for bass a fish that doesnt exist in Finland
@@moldveien1515 As my 12 years exp in Canada and 18 years exp in China, for sure there are much more predator fish in NA, but there are also some big freshwater predators like Yellow cheek carp can grow up over 100lbs, which I think they fight even better than big muskies
@@shaocongcheng5254 Want to say I am from Norway not NA btw, so no expirience with muskies, the biggest fish I have caught here are saltwater, and then the big fish as freshwater predators go are Pike.

I wish I would get the chance to fish when going to china with a school trip, but seems like we will mostly be in cities, and when going to places were i would be able to fish, only staying for a day or two on guided trips, I will have to return one day to fish, thinking of studying in Hong Kong or Taiwan, so maybe I will get the chance to go to the mainland and try it out ;)

@@RapalaSoutheastAsia If you would reccomend me some areas in the mainland that would be great, I am most likley going on an exchange year there next year, so autum 2022 and spring 2023, not decied what city yet but I have to decide between 5 cities, kuniming, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing, and Chongqing, kunming from just looking at it on the map seemed like the best freshwater fishing wise, but hard to find any information in english sadley, mostly what comes up is stories on large commercial fishing, and my chinese as of now is way to poor to look it up in chinese haha.

Hello bro, I m fellow Singaporean in China. Where is this place? Btw one paid fishing pond don't allow fisherman to use the gripper, they said it injures the fish, breaks the jaw they say. I bought the Rapala gripper and the force does seem quite strong, will it injure the fish?

This pond is located at Zhejiang Province. They do let us use gripper. But however got to take for example, holding the fish belly while taking photos instead of just lifting them up using the gripper. ''Might injuries them''.
Yes, you're right. Rapala gripper is still alright compare to metal boga grip.

I’m a foreigner living in Kunming Yunnan . Do you know any guide services in this area? I grew up fishing salmon and steelhead, but I’d love to learn how to target 黑鱼。Unfortunately, all the local bait shops only know about bobber fishing for carp.
It is hard to find a guide service in China, but I can give you some advice for snakehead. Use MH rod and heavy line with frog lure in summer, fish in lily pad area and you will get one

Looks like a Asp, live`s the Skygrazer in fast flowing river´s too?
I have yet to understand fully about the Skygazer but most of them are in the lakes and not so much are heard about them in fast flowing river.
Well I mean they are both carp another name for the skygazer is predatory carp so isnt that odd that they look alike.
Where about in China can I target this species? I live in China and end up travelling out of China to fish. I would love to add this fish on to my species list. Any info would be bgreatly appreciated.
actually there are many lakes and private lakes that has this Skygazer. We shoot this in Zhejiang and another place is Nanjing.
