Second of all you can call it a fetus all you want, but either way the fetus is still a human being, it's just underdeveloped. Plus weren't we all fetuses once? We were! The idea that a fetus isn't a person or isn't alive was proposed by liberals, researched by liberals, conducted by liberals, and concluded by liberals, solely because they didn't want to take responsibility. Most pregnancies that are mistakes aren't even from rape, they were from consensual sex that women constantly have. It doesn't develop brain activity until almost 6 weeks after conception, and even then, it's not thinking and feeling like we do. You should probably be more concerned about non-vegetarians at that point, because pigs can definately think and feel pain. My view is that, regardless, we shouldn't impose restrictions on women's freedom and bodily autonomy just to preserve a "life" that barely even exists, and cannot exist without the mother. To clarify, I don't believe that human life is inherently valuable, so in reality the question isn't when it's technically human life, but when it becomes sentient life akin to born, living humans, which is an impossible line to draw.
I think women should have the right to get an abortion, but simultaneously I think any woman who decides to keep a baby when the father disagrees should not be entitled to child support. Excepting for rape, conception is a cooperative act. You can't have impunity with your reproductive rights and expect men to support you financially.

This, in turn, creates bias against women in the workplace, because careers are associated with men and masculinity. Furthermore, women-dominated careers are often paid less as a consequence of women taking those jobs rather than the other way around. The main issue here isn't paying women the same for doing exact same job as a man, it's the systemic bias against women in the workplace.
Now for the pro-life argument. Wait, there was none! He literally just said "I'm pro-life, that's it". I can't argue against Trump on this one, so I'll argue against common pro-life arguments and for abortion rights instead. I am not attacking Trump here because I don't know what to attack. So. Is abortion murder? Possibly. It's hard to determine where life starts. Bear in mind I'm coming at this with no actual statistics and little scientific knowledge since I don't know whether anyone is actually going to read this. If you do, I will do the research if prompted. I, personally, do not consider a human in early stages of development a person. It lacks all the main attributes of personhood, such as consciousness, experiences, emotions and intelligence. Therefore I don't consider it immoral to abort a foetus.
Now for the two other arguments I've heard. First: the possibility of life argument: it COULD have been a person. I don't like this argument because it's hard to define where the line is - should we all be reproducing all the time because there are so many missed opportunities for reproduction? And the other pro-life argument is a religious one. I'm grouping all religious arguments in here, because I can debunk them all by just saying that you can't let your beliefs control someone else with different beliefs.
Now for pro-choice arguments. Often, not having an abortion can lead to a worse quality of life for the parent/s and the child. I think it is immoral, for example, to force a rape victim or someone incapable of financially supporting a child, to not have an abortion. Of course, if it is their choice not to, that's fine. Another pro-choice arguments is that women should have control over their own bodies. It is noone else's right to police and control what they do with their bodies.
And now for why all of those arguments were pointless. Every single one of those arguments has flawed logic. One shared flaw in the logic. The assumption that criminalising abortion will make abortion rates go down. It seems like an obvious fact. But it's really not. Making abortion illegal is not how to lower abortion rates. Countries where abortion is illegal tend to have higher rates of abortion, actually, but they're often more dangerous and can carry a serious risk of killing the parent as well as the child. All making abortion illegal does is push is out of sight. It's not Trump's problem because it's a crime, so it's the criminal's fault. He can just safely ignore it.
How DO we lower abortion rates? Same way we lower rates of unwanted pregnancy. Education and contraception. Funnily enough, teaching our kids about sex might actually help them to make more informed decisions about it. Just not mentioning it doesn't mean they won't have it. It just means that, without proper sex education, children will probably learn about it a different way, and not get a complete or accurate picture of it. Again, this wouldn't be schools', of Trump's, problem, because it wasn't the school that gave them misinformation. And, crucially, education about and access to contraception is very important to preventing unwanted pregnancy, for somewhat obvious reasons.
Sorry for the very long block of text. I hope that I at least opened your mind to other ways of thinking, even if you still don't subscribe to my beliefs.
TL;DR: It's not easy for women to just do as good a job as men, abortion rates only go down if you teach sex education and making it illegal only encourages unsafe abortions.

Women don't take less well-paid jobs because of societal pressure, women are just naturally inclined to do it, the worst paying jobs are jobs that involve caring, women generally love it (I said generally, not all.) Women go for more days off, parental leave, work less hours etc. Women don't get systematic bias, men get systematic bias, high paying jobs want to get women because otherwise people will want to cut them down for false sense of sexism. Women can get the money, if they want to, but they don't, it's not in their nature. That's why in Scandinavia, the gap increases, not decrease. Women go into high paying jobs now because feminists are tossing myths and lies, which pressures women into taking big careers.

"I'm pro-life." Next time I hear someone who supports abortion speak up for it, I'm gonna say that!
Here we go: I am going to argue against common pro-life arguments and for abortion rights. I am not attacking Trump here because I don't know what to attack. So. Is abortion murder? Possibly. It's hard to determine where life starts. Bear in mind I'm coming at this with no actual statistics and little scientific knowledge since I don't know whether anyone is actually going to read this. If you do, I will do the research if prompted. I, personally, do not consider a human in early stages of development a person. It lacks all the main attributes of personhood, such as consciousness, experiences, emotions and intelligence. Therefore I don't consider it immoral to abort a foetus.
Now for the two other arguments I've heard. First: the possibility of life argument: it COULD have been a person. I don't like this argument because it's hard to define where the line is - should we all be reproducing all the time because there are so many missed opportunities for reproduction? And the other pro-life argument is a religious one. I'm grouping all religious arguments in here, because I can debunk them all by just saying that you can't let your beliefs control someone else with different beliefs.
Now for pro-choice arguments. Often, not having an abortion can lead to a worse quality of life for the parent/s and the child. I think it is immoral, for example, to force a rape victim or someone incapable of financially supporting a child, to not have an abortion. Of course, if it is their choice not to, that's fine. Another pro-choice arguments is that women should have control over their own bodies. It is noone else's right to police and control what they do with their bodies.
And now for why all of those arguments were pointless. Every single one of those arguments has flawed logic. One shared flaw in the logic. The assumption that criminalising abortion will make abortion rates go down. It seems like an obvious fact. But it's really not. Making abortion illegal is not how to lower abortion rates. Countries where abortion is illegal tend to have higher rates of abortion, actually, but they're often more dangerous and can carry a serious risk of killing the parent as well as the child. All making abortion illegal does is push is out of sight. It's not Trump's problem because it's a crime, so it's the criminal's fault. He can just safely ignore it.
How DO we lower abortion rates? Same way we lower rates of unwanted pregnancy. Education and contraception. Funnily enough, teaching our kids about sex might actually help them to make more informed decisions about it. Just not mentioning it doesn't mean they won't have it. It just means that, without proper sex education, children will probably learn about it a different way, and not get a complete or accurate picture of it. Again, this wouldn't be schools', of Trump's, problem, because it wasn't the school that gave them misinformation. And, crucially, education about and access to contraception is very important to preventing unwanted pregnancy, for somewhat obvious reasons.
Sorry for the block of text. I hope that I at least opened your mind to other ways of thinking, even if you still don't subscribe to my beliefs.

@@redmantis3336 the human inside the mother is not responsible for her rape, that would have to be the rapist, so therefore abortion is not justified. Second of all you can call it a fetus all you want, but either way the fetus is still a human being, it's just underdeveloped. Plus weren't we all fetuses once? We were! So therefore the fetus is in fact a person. The idea that a fetus isn't a person or isn't alive was proposed by liberals, researched by liberals, conducted by liberals, and concluded by liberals, solely because they didn't want to take responsibility. Most pregnancies that are mistakes aren't even from rape, they were from consensual sex that women constantly have. That's the real reason why abortion is supported, they don't want to raise a child, they just want to fuck as much as possible.
And if in the off chance a woman finds herself being raped, well she should've had a gun or something to protect herself. Hell there's even plenty of alternatives at very cheap prices that would make good weapons.

@@Archedgar Sure, it's technically both human and alive. But at conception, it is literally just a cluster of cells. It doesn't develop brain activity until almost 6 weeks after conception, and even then, it's not thinking and feeling like we do. You should probably be more concerned about non-vegetarians at that point, because pigs can definately think and feel pain.
My view is that, regardless, we shouldn't impose restrictions on women's freedom and bodily autonomy just to preserve a "life" that barely even exists, and cannot exist without the mother.
To clarify, I don't believe that human life is inherently valuable, so in reality the question isn't when it's technically human life, but when it becomes sentient life akin to born, living humans, which is an impossible line to draw.
Change women's age of retirement to match men's so they're are equal! See how they feel about that.

I think women should have the right to get an abortion, but simultaneously I think any woman who decides to keep a baby when the father disagrees should not be entitled to child support. Excepting for rape, conception is a cooperative act. You can't have impunity with your reproductive rights and expect men to support you financially.
John Smith That would be a difficult case to bring to any civil court. I'm willing to let women have 100% of the decision making power in their reproduction in exchange for them having to assume full responsibility for whichever choice they make. We can't force a woman to carry a fetus to term, but simultaneously we can't force a man to be a father and a financial slave.
