- Wonderful diving in the 'deep south' of The Red Sea in Egypt at Wadi Lahami - Fury Shoals.
Wadi Lahami is the most southern village of Red Sea Diving Safari (180 km south of Marsa Alam airport). From there we made 16 dives on the world famous Fury Shoals. Wadi Lahami Village gives the opportunity to dive on the reefs that were previously only accessible for liveaboards.
The Fury Shoals offer very nice reef structures such as caves and reef blocks that allow the sunlight to enter beautifully. Several wrecks can also be found there are slowly overgrown by corals.
Diving locations in the south are still quiet, so they work like a magnet on all kinds of fish and other marine life, beautiful coral gardens full of life are everywhere, and a group of dolphins lives at the famous 'Sataya reef' and can be seen while snorkeling.
Dive sites: Sharbour, Torfa, Lahami South, Habili Gazella, Abu Galawa Small (wreck dive), Shaab Claudia, Abu Galawa Big (wreck dive), Banana Reef, Iron Garden (wreck dive), Shaab Angel, Shaab Malahi, Habili Daisy and Satayah (snorkeling with dolphins).
This movie is the result of around 12 hours of 4k video footage. Shot in December 2019.

Amazing! :) have you used in camera stabilisation or in post-process? It is so super steady
Thanks! The most important is to have your camera stable in the water, neutral buoyant or slightly negative. Then I use in-camera stabilization and (if needed) stabilisation in post.
what camera setup are you using. these videos are amazing. im just getting into underwater photography and have a dive trip in the red sea for later this year. currently ive just been using a go pro but wanna move to something better for this trip

Thanks! Almost all underwater shots were made with the Sony AX700 .. a few shots with the Gopro. For the Gopro I always use a red filter and no lights.

Beautiful video. Congratulations!! We are planning to go there next month. We don't kow if staying in Lamabi Bay or in three corners in Marsa Alam. Is it worth going to Lahami Bay? it is a bit far from Marsa.

It's just what you want.. if you want a standard relaxing holiday with occasionaly a dive, you have to go to Three Corners (I've been there once myself), or if you want a diving holiday, you have to go to Wadi Lahami/Lahami Bay..

How did you get drone footage at the start ? Drones are completely outlawed in Egypt , and Government permission is near impossible. id love to be able to use mine there but id likely end up in jail

That coral is quiet close to the surface and still alive surprisingly. Like it was in Jordan Aqaba which is all dead now unfortunately and bleached . Now Saudi is opening up to tourists not much of it would be left in 15 y I bet
more expensive in a tent than in the hotel 500 meters next--🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
