@@AnfisaBELARUS You are pretty. 🙂 I will come from Belgrade to Riga on 2nd of September by Air Baltic as a tourist on my vacation, then I plan to come from Riga to St Petersburg by bus, stay there for at least 5 days, then to Moscow, and I thought I might come by to Kazan... but I didn't come to the definite plan yet: I might come by to Minsk before St Petersburg and then cancel the plan for Kazan. I would be ready to change my plan and come by to Misk to hang out with you. 😉

Moscow looks as good as Minsk, if not better. Russia is richer than Belarus.
Belarus totally depends on Russian money. So it's not really about economic development

Но так было не всегда, были периоды когда Россия отказывалась от белорусской продукции и кредиты тоже не одобряла и в те годы Беларусь искала другие рынки и другие кредиты в других странах. Просто так Россия ничего не даёт Беларуси и никакие кредиты никогда не прощает)

Hi, Anfisa. That was a really great tour of Minsk! There is some great older and modern architecture along with many wide sidewalks that are friendly for pedestrians who want to take a relaxing walk. Robinson Hotel and Galleria Mall look very nice inside also.

There, cameras do not follow you, but undercover agents do
We have those undercover guys in UK too. Cameras are far more dangerous though. Power corrupts, and most of the private companies ‘running them’ are highly dodgy.
PS Strange that the cameras often don’t seem to work when those in authority could be inconvenienced.

I was told that as an American visiting Minsk on a student visa to attend the Linguistic University, I would be subject to control by the security services. Is this true? Anyway Minsk is the 'hero City' I have wanted to visit for quite sometime now. Best wishes.

In my humble opinion, Minsk has more beautiful women than in major Russian cities. In Russia it is common to see dragons, but in Minsk it is difficult to see a truly ugly woman.
