Casino Guitars 5/4 stock is actually 1” thick. Just as a 2x4 is actual dimensions of 1.5”x 3.5” maybe PRS uses their own dimension system but pretty much everywhere and everyone else uses the standard dimensions set by the wood/lumber industry.

@@CasinoGuitars awesome ! Your normal videos are rad too , surprisingly simple format but head and shoulders above most other guitar commentary styled channels . Keep it up

So nice to see Pauly Shore keeping busy.
"I don't often comb my hair...but when I do, I use a balloon."
That just made me very very happy! Thank you for that and thank you for watching as well:)!!!
Or just sticks a birds nest on his head.
Crazy!
😂
I bought a 2018 Paul Reed Smith SE Santana 18 months ago and it was made in Indonesia. It came out with a near perfect setup and not a single finish miss. It plays and sound great. Thanks Paul.
Yeah, I bought a Mark Holcomb SE made in Indonesia and it's really quite a work of art.
I understand that some people have issues with overseas guitars and I can understand and agree to a degree, but Paul has very strict guidelines for them to follow and the guitar that I purchased looks, feels and plays perfectly.
No blemishes or sharp fret ends etc
No areas where the paint is rough or shoddy etc..
I'm very pleased with my purchase. It cost me JUST under $1000
$959 plus tax
It makes me curious about how much it costs PRS to make an overseas guitar. Factor in the materials, labor and shipping......
I spent roughly a thousand dollars, and, Guitar Center still needs their cut etc....
I wonder how much PRS makes on a guitar like that?
Hence why I'm curious about how much it costs to produce one overseas.
I would always prefer overseas production to lazy american garbage. There is nothing americans can manufacture anymore, its all trash.
26:36 good ole gibson in the background
Lol I hear ya Eagle eye!
I was just about to see if anyone else noticed😂
everyday before the shifts starts PRSh gathers the whole factory and stands on the top of the highest stairway and holds up that Gibson. "I've been waiting for you, Gibson. We meet again, at last. The circle is now complete. When I left you I was but the learner. Now, *I* am the master." And the factory screams in thunderous unison.
Couldn't help but notice is was in the back where the do the inspections of the imports. Probably didn't pass and needed some work.
This is amazing access. Great video. Very sincere, and with just the right level of editing polish.
I didn't realize PRS was such a perfect example of "Hybrid Manufacturing", with such a great balance of automation and hand craft. Automation as a human tool...and not as a human replacement. I wish more things were made this way because it produces better products and better jobs.
Thanks Peter and we agree agree agree! It was amazing and great to see how they combined the manufacturing on their instruments this way. Thank you so much for watching and for your thoughtful comment!
I love factory tours. Please do more in the future!
8:32 That's some nice carved top!
Glad somebody else caught that
Now I really wanna work for PRS
Yup she 🔥 af
@@Heavymetallord1 yeah 1 chick..good luck! or you can ask the cnc lady if shes single =]
This is the comment I was looking for. I love you guys even though, haha...
Great job really enjoyed this
Thank you Jason! Look out for the next one coming out on the Private Stock...yikes:)
I am a hobby builder, working on my building skills. This was just awesome to see. I have always respected PRS, but liked other manufacturers better. I am now a believer, for sure.
I have a 594 Ten Top and you can really tell how much pride, care and attention to detail is put in to it.
I knew they made them to order but I didn't realize it was less than 100 a day. Watching this video makes me love and appreciate mine that much more. Thanks!
Wonderful tour of my favorite guitar factory. Thank you!
Thanks for watching Bella and agreed...a great place!
Awesome video I kept rewinding and rewinding to catch details
Great tour. Their factory tour is a master class in how you should approach guitar building.
oh yeah. Without a proper uniform and eye and dust protection. Dudes are working in casual clothes in a place that is full of dust. It seems wrong.
@@holderua The extraction system is strong enough it doesn't require dust protection. I've walked through... No dust issues.
@@SkyscraperGuitars workers literally have their noses inches above the sanded wood. I'm no expert, but logically as long as the worker is between the wood and the extrating system - he is breathing in that dust.
@@holderua The extraction system is down draft to the table tops or to the back side of the benches. Dust gets sucked away from everyone. It's actually pretty slick.
@@SkyscraperGuitars I'm really hoping that's the case =)
Very cool segment. This channel has become a favorite as others have become unwatchable.
Thank you. ☮️
This is the second PRS factory tour video I’ve seen and it never gets old!! I have a made I. Korea SE and would love to see a factory tour for those guitars!!!!! Great video!
Tim Castle There is a few tour videos online that you can find. WMI = World Musical Instruments.
wow love the video great job
Thanks for this wonderful tour...
Thank you for watching Phil and look out for the one on the private stock coming soon!
Fabulous and am now speechless. Thank you.
Thank you and we were as well. Stay tuned for the Private Stock and custom video...tat is a true loss of brain function in there! Thanks for the comment!
Has a 513, but still love watching them be made!
My man Sean! Great to see you!
PRS is one of my most coveted brands. Still trying to get my hands on one of them ;)
PRS will never have the legendary status like Fender Epiphone and Gibson..
@@mr.astrophysics9115 Maybe... but I already have all the other ones + other brands I happen to like ;) It's about the sound, not the brand. At least for me.
Guy goes to the PRS factory and can't even comb his hair. I don't feel bad about going to the liquor store in my pajamas and slippers now. Thank you for the video, I really enjoyed it. More please!
That made us all very happy! Thank you for the comment and thank you for watching. Any time you want to make fun of whatever the heck Baxters hair looks like...please do:)
That was interesting. I hope you can make a similar video about the Fender Custom Shop. Thanks.
Wonderful! I have been waiting for a factory tour from PRS.
The camera operator's inability to properly focus on the subject is exceptionally distracting.
So is the reporter's inability to have a positive encounter with a comb or hair brush.
There's a beautiful slab of wood on my right, better pan to the left and focus on the breaker box on the wall.
It's almost like a hidden camera
My guess is that the camera is set on auto focus. It will hunt in a low light setting like a factory or warehouse. Probably not a professional operator or camera.
An epileptic having a grand-mal filmed this with a turnip!
Great Vid!
Can't believe there's a Les Paul leaning against the wall in the final shot! 26.54 😆
Prs is really killing it right now
I've seen many videos of this factory. I will still watch when there's a new one 😅
Me to babe
As usual, a great video!!!
Great tour, from my favorite CZcams guitar guys, keep up the great work !
Great video
chuckyzzz thanks a bunch!
Just fantastic!!
Guitars are just beautiful 😋
This is an amazing guitar production
Thank you very much, from Barcelona! What beautiful guitars! A curiosity: in the last shot you can see a gibson guitar!
I remember growing up in Annapolis and a few of my friends worked for Paul out of a tiny shop in Annapolis. Paul let each employee build their own guitar for free so they all had the crazy guitars they built.
Had a friend that lived in Calvert County who worked for them in the mid 90s.
Great tour!
26:30 - on pause sums up the entire tour
Enjoyed this tour video, ,they never gave much away about the PRS fretwork, ,if you've ever tried a PRS or are lucky enough to own one, the fret work is second to none, ,super smooth fret ends with a glass like finish, leaves Fender and Gibson in the rear view mirror! !
George hello and thanks for the comment. We were lucky enough to spend some time with the gentleman who did most of the fretwork there and it was an impressive site to see the care and time he took on each neck. Where some parts of the process seem rushed, this part was certainly not. You could tell he took care and pride in his work. Thanks again for watching and best to you out there!
What a great video. A great company that makes great guitars. Wish to own one of this one day🙏
Really happy your giveaway video played in my feed. I've binge watched your vids. Hahaha. Keep them going man. I love this. You have a fantastic unique channel.
Thanks a bunch Robert! We really appreciate that you enjoy some of our videos and we will have a whole slew of new factory tours and good ones coming in 2020! Were off to Mexico and California for some really fun videos in less than a month!
Thanks again and best to you and yours!

alot of work goes into them . . . thanx also places outside USA have this going on . . . 10:17 c n c music factory jams start (fender and gibson / chibson / korbson / indobson / j-son has them too)
Makes me wanna buy a prs.
no it doesn't
Yes it does
OMG! I NEVER HAD A ELECTRIC GUITAR AND SEEING THIS in reality is very very very nice exp 😍♥️💐 this channel makes me feel so jealous and excitement to touch the guitars
Thank you Ryan! We love your comments and sincere thanks for taking the time to tune in!
PRS makes some of the best 👍
Great video. I have a Custom 24 and an SE. It was cool to see where they were made and checked out. A PRS SE has to be one of the best starter guitars you can get. Great guitars for the money.
PRS Excellent World Class Guitars .
Would have been great to snag one of those limba blanks, one hog neck blank, and one top set for me while you were there.
We tried Lewis, we tried!
That was awesome
Great video!!! I am still a guitar beginner but, now aspire to own one of these. I had no idea about the SE line live in MD for a period of time and then inspected. What amazing QC!
Ron Falkoff it’s rather amazing the care they take. Thanks for watching ron and thank you for your thoughts!
Casino Guitars while I have tried learning from the internet for the last year and now enrolled in some online lessons while at home it is amazing how distinctive the tone they have... playing my guitar with my 3 chords and beginner riffs I know that they ring out even with no amplification whereas I need amplified sound to truly know if I am doing things right...
Nice to see a les Paul casually hanging out in the background… :D
He sure was excited about all the wood!!!
Wood gets me very excited! So excited it is often hard to contain myself:) Thanks for watching and for the comment!
Shouldn't this guy be directing the next Batman movie?
WOW!
Hello from Hope Mills.
Hey Neighbor!!!
24:53 Damn look at that guy's hands. He's been operating that for a while.
Owning a CU22, I'd say they know their stuff.
Great video man! What a great factory!
I have prs s2 standard and prs se they both sound great....
We couldn't agree more! The SE line has changed the way "affordable" guitars are viewed in the market. Thank yo for watching and thank you for the comment!
Yikes....didn't realize I maybe burning PRS guitar bits to help heat my home...lol....awesome nothing is wasted .
The ultimate enviornmentalist you are by buying a PRS:) Thanks for the comment!
Awesome process. They should shorten up that end mill doing the violin carve...
You need to tell them to get their sh*t together!
So what is it you use for gluing the tops and the tops to the backs, Urea Formaldehyde?
Notice the Gibson in the back around 26:30 hmm even Paul keeps a Les Paul around I see :)
I did notice that it was in the back where they do the inspections of the imports. Probably didn't pass and needs some work.
Im getting the Baritone next
My dream guitar is to have Paul’s guitar . Oh baby it’s nice
This factory Ames nice ass guitars, way better than most other big companies
There is a Gibson in the back at the end..
Yeah, at 26:22.
The ghost of Ted McCarty perhaps ?
Proper functioning art
Your editor is fired
25:07 🤤🤤🤤🤤
I need to know how to get that finish!
Thanks now i want an other prs! Lol
This is great ✊
So Robert Smith is going to play PRS now?
The DW of guitars
Now do this at the Fender Custom Shop!
Nice combover.......
Was that ending purple one walked away with on the expense account?
I would love to work there!!!!
Awesome place and great people! We can get you an interview if you're serious:) Thanks for watching as well!
They have an opening working as an SE inspector... that would be a sweet gig.
Dry the WOOD!!! just one of the many reasons PRS is such a bad ass guitar. The nubmer #1 in my collection for sure...
EVERY guitar factory do that. Even Epiphone in China.
@@u2dva True that. There is also a difference in the remaining moisture levels. Why dry something to 2%, which SHOULD have 5% from a woodworkers point of view? LUL
@@JurasPriest You are right about different moisture levels, but keep in mind that the less moisture doesn't always mean a better final product. Woodworkers probably know better than others who pretty much know the guitar is made of wood.
8:31 to 8:35. . My favourite part of the whole thing. . . Dunno why. . .
Mine too....
Definitely
Who is the glue up girl?
She was awesome and super friendly! She just started there about two weeks prior I believe and again had a great spark to her, and really nailed her job!
I still have my mint condition 1995. That guitar is amazing.
That is awesome! Love to hear that and thank you for sharing:)
@@CasinoGuitars Yeah. I even have my custom Ally cat with a ebony fret board I dumped 1200 into as well. But my PRS is the best.
@@whitepunksvevo1343 Frustrating how good they can be:)
is that a Gibson in the background at the very end of the video? Are you guys keeping it as a reference?
You've got to be kidding! PRS has never gone bankrupt..! :)
I enjoyed the tour with Larry from the 3 Stooges.
Not a PRS guy but awesome video😜
Thanks a bunch Johnny! I wasn't really either but they are slowly turning my head that way:)
And so begins the great tone wax debate.
If you mean wax potting, if you get the pickup just to the verge of being microphonic, then you get maximum possible tone
Ted Theodore Logan trying to find the perfect wood to build the perfect guitar to write the perfect song on to save the universe at 5:34.
Lmfao!!
Dude, you fuckin nailed it!!
Excellent!!!!!
And together we are the Wild Stallions!!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha I have to admit it took me a second to get the reference but yes it looks just like him! He took a job at PRS rather than get sent to military school. LOL
At 26:33 what is the Gibson Les Paul for?
Can anyone explain to me why at the end we see SE models? Is part of their construction done in USA?
What's inside the PRS Factory? Nothing Left handed. The one time I owned a PRS I was pretty disappointed in it. The main reason was the top. Because my guitar was not a "birds" or "10 top" I got this real shitty non matching flame top. I mean I paid about $2,200 for it back in '03 or '04 and they couldn't even bookmatch the top. I never got past that and got rid of the guitar. I don't really miss it. Outside of that, PRS really (at the time of my guitar) built a fabulous guitar. It was impeccably built.
QC is everything
awesome shit dog, keep up this amazing shit dude!!!

ademas al menos puede decir que el polvo de madera acumulado en sus pulmones pertenece a una PRS, una forma de morir con categoría
That's some nice wood.
Good on you!! Get wood that we need!!
13:47 hey that’s the guy from five watt world lmao
Please pardon my ignorance but what is the difference(s) between a West Coast 10 top and an East Coast one? I genuinely would like to know. 🙏
