Next expansion, Trolls attack Azeroth while heroes are stuck in shadowlands. They are then quickly defeated in one patch.
Unlikely, it seems Zandalar joining the Horde is leading to multiple tribes following suit.

If the guy was doing human sacrifices for Power, I think it still probably would have happened, not the most sane at that point, only that people would have a better understanding of what would go down.
You gotta admit one thing on the trolls...they are fighters, having survived everything that was thrown at them they still preserved today. While they're power is nothing to what it once was...they are still alive and are more then willing to rebuild what they lost.

"Having survived"...spoiler for next video: not exactly. Farakki: near extinction, Drakkari: near extinction, Amani: near extinction. Gurubashi are survived by the modern Horde (for the most part) which they are subservient after Vol'jin's death, and Zandalari who had their asses handed to them right down to their capital being raided and king slaughtered. For perspective, Stranglethorn used to be a dominant Troll area and it's overrun by Goblins, and Blood Trolls, which are crazed offshoots, are arguably one of the most powerful remaining tribes.

@@budakbaongsiah I suppose not. The archetype elf is widely used since it normally fits the narrative and adds the classic fantasy-stamp of approval.
But at the same time you have the warhammer universe, the witcher. God of War goes all the way back with the Norse elves to 'alf'. Don't think they even are in Harry Potter? GRRM's elves (Children of the Forest) takes elements of the Norse 'alf'.
An elf is just a handy way of introducing a different species that has enough in common with humans, but still has the potential for a ton of lore and magic.

I'm confused because I don't recall a single fictional setting were "elves" (in whatever incarnation) are the "progenitors" of anything within their respective universes. (as in responsible for other living creatures existing) Heck it's only in Warcraft that I've seen the whole one race descending from another thing being used in the narrative, and the 'BIG' reveal on that little lore nugget was done probably in the most lazy, uninspired way possible.
Gosh I really hope that arrival of Lei Shen to Zandalar becomes canon. The pandaren carrying him and the thunder interruption are priceless.

It would actually be the Zandalari who arrive in style to Lei Shen's palace, since they went to him to forge an alliance, not the other way around. The Mogu only stayed in Pandaria lands while Trolls had most of the planet under their empire. The Zandalari just walk in and say the ascended god king, who stole the powers of a god and defeated another god in single combat, needs their help because he's ignorant of the world outside of his empire. They were absolute chads, just imagine their arrival with voodoo constructs, Dire Trolls and Dinosaurs while the Zandalar music plays.

I'd love to see something done with Zul'drak, Jintha'Alor, and Zul'Farrak. They are all really cool places and I could think of a ton of reasons why we might need to go there in the future (I seem to recall a giant snake that was never addressed)

Amazing video, but I don't know if I would call it a embarrassing fall. It took a war with the old god's servants (Which they won); Servants of the titans nuking their army's and leadership; Panda bears pulling literal magic dragons out of their ass and the most powerful magic race the world had ever seen, a demon war and the world sundering. If anything, that's a testament of their strength, if all these things that needed to happen to actually kill them.
I would agree if they all happened at the same time. This happened over time. They rose into a giant empire and then had the hardest fall of any race on Azeroth. Their roles were flipped and rightly so. Trolls evolved into NE through arcane. Titans are the masters of Arcane. Titans set about order not chaos. Trolls got what they deserved.
They turned into night elves,there's no coming back from that

Trols didn't deserve to crumble bit they had the rome problem. The empire was the biggest to ever exsist on Azeroth as it included every cornet we knew of. Fracturing into the main tribes and in fighting to who is in charge insued.
Night elves arent some titan chosen people but Trolls who consumed and lived near extremely potent arcane waters left by a titan.
Their arrogance and pride born from it was also what doomed their empire.
Todays Night elves specofivally curse the old ways and only allow arcane under heavy watch and care.
One thing that he says that's wrong: kaldorei had already suffered attacks from several troll factions before expanding so much, as trolls saw elves as interlopers in their conquest. Both races were bitter enemies before Azsahara

I absolutely love Troll history. I wrote the backstory for my Troll character that takes all of this history into account. Also, I am just now realizing that Pandaren are older than Night Elves as a race (although to be fair, I wrote my Troll's backstory back in the days of Wrath, so Pandaren history wasn't a thing yet back then).

Indeed- If you are in the presence and in usage of the power from a Well than you will change race it seems like- The Dark Trolls changed to Night elves through the Well of Eternity- The Highborne in Suramar changed into Nightborne once they created the Night Well and the Highborne in Quel'Thalas changed into High Elves when they created the Sunwell.
Elves are Trolls mutated by Titan's blood. Well of Eternity was made when TItans pulled Y'shaarj out of Azeroth during the ordering, and it oozed pure Titan blood which turned out to be among the strongest sources of arcane in the universe. A lone tribe of Dark Trolls separated from the Zandalari/Gurubashi/Amani civilization and settled on the shores of Well of Eternity where they were mutated by its waters into becoming Night Elves, who are the original elves.

Hell the aren't even the only ones to worship her, the Night Warrior before Tyrande was a different race, and some Tauren are followers.

Night elves winning against trolls leads to first invasion of Burning Legion. While high elves+humans and later troll wars with involvement of Medivh lead to first, second and third wars (last one being second invasion). Third one... The Trolls are the war part of Chinese history, while the pandas are the cultural side of Chinese history. Well, pre 1940 china. CCP killed all of that in the 40s and the only place to find any of that living today is Singapore/Taiwan.
