- Until we ask God for the courage to cut, cast out, and challenge our mistakes, we won’t be able to change course. In Genesis 21, Abraham was living with his mistake and miracle in the same house. He had a crossroad decision to make: Cast Ishmael and the bondwoman out now, or arrive short of destiny. Have you been too worried about the disruption change causes that you never cut loose the people who have delayed your destiny? Somebody always gets hurt in the cutting, but if you don't move, it might end up being you. Don’t rob your destiny of the temporary discomfort of changing course!

Edit: It’s been over 2 years and I haven’t had a single drop of alcohol. 100% sober and never looking back! It’s a great feeling!!

Thank you bishop, I'm 50 and in the process of change, its been painful to finally accept that my marriage of over 25 years was a bad choice in the first place and so I spent most of youth trying to make it work. It took me getting to a place where I couldnt recognize my face in the mirror to accept the truth. I walked away from years of abuse to start over my life. Now as a grand mother I'm going back to college (because I desperately need to), building a house, struggling financially, dealing with an empty nest as my kids have all moved on, deal with the scrutiny of church people while serving in ministry at a senior level, adjusting to the changes in my body AND emotions as I've become perimenopausal and struggling not to drown in regret over my choice to spend my youth like I did...sigh. In this season of my life I am doing what I should have done in my youth and it is taking a courage I did not know I possess. I am grateful for messages like this that keeps me assured, thank you again

Don’t be loyal to a bad mistake. Have the courage to change course. When I stopped being loyal to a bad marriage and abusive marriage because pride in being married to an attorney, God gave me the courage to change course and let go. The Lord said to me, “why hold on to less when I’m going to bless you with better. So I let go of bad for what God already had for me. Bless you Bishop. God gave me greater, blessed me and my four children.
So in other words your vows that you’ll took wasn’t completely honored. It said for better or worse through sickness and health for richer or poorer til death do you part. I need to understand the worser part. In your case it was the abusiveness. That’s the worse in the vows. In Gods eye was you suppose to remain in the marriage til it gets better or not. I thought it said for better or worse. Meaning just that you stay and stick it out regardless. Can you please take time and tell me your thoughts. I just need to understand and no I’m not, nor have I ever been and probably won’t be. I hoping one day that I do get a chance to experience true love at it’s finest. That which does includes God.

I’ve been out of a job for 7 months , I’ve been through depression , stress anxiety and suicidal thoughts. The devil tried to take me out but he LOST.! The devil thought he had me but God gave me a purpose inside of me to keep going. I don’t know where I’m being called to but I know I’m here for a reason. This is the hardest thing I’ve ever been through , this morning I read

I'm with a man that I've been together with for 3 years and a year ago after another traumatic event in our lives that was completely unexpected and undeserved he went back to using heroin. I've been strong stayed loyal and I'm limiting him through it. He's not Christian and I am. I love him very much but the financial burden that he's putting on our family is bound to lead somewhere bad and I don't know what to do. He literally has nowhere else to go when we only have one vehicle between the two of us that we share. I need wisdom desperately

I stumbled unto this life changing message today! This is God's new year gift to me. For almost 8 years I got into a relationship that has stolen my peace, materials and money!!!
I have been in emotional tumult for these years. Today, I've thrown in some flesh and have been circumcised! Brethren uphold me in your prayers. I think the most painful part is the money that was fraudulently taken under some false pretense. Every time I want to get out, the devil will say, " just hang in there until you collect my money". But I've made up my mind that no amount of money is worth my peace, happiness or salvation!! So l'm letting go, and handing over this guy to God. I pray for grace to overcome in Jesus name. Amen.
