2 years after that incident a Romania gal (manager) started working at the nursery and started to humiliate and bullied me psychologically.
I reported her to the area manager Kelly who investigated my complaint against the Romania manager . I had a witness, the area manager questioned the witness then told her that the meeting did not happen.

As a Hispanic American, I feel like Europe is way worse compared to the US when it comes to racism. People aren't afraid to talk about it and call it out when it happens here. In Europe, they act like this is normal and pretend like nothing ever happened. Yes the US is known for its racial problems but at the same time, you feel a sense of belonging. At the end of the day, we're all Americans.

I'm a US Black American woman. I lived and went to school in Spain as a teen in the 90s.
Although I didn't have any huge issues (like I see on CZcams, from other Blacks), Spain does have severe racial issues. It's in their history and from the ruling of Franco for so long. Leading to today's time of situations.
In my youth days (the 90s in Spain), Immigration wasn't as massive as it has been. So (just like in the US), the "welcome" is definitely unwelcome.
I remember a friend's mother (in Spain) had her watch stolen off her arm by a Moroccan. She said, "I hate those Muslims." Young American, I am, asked her. If it was a Black person that did that, would you say the same? She said probably. I said, "What about a Spaniard?" She couldn't answer. Because in her mindset, it is only wrong when a crime is done by someone who doesn't look like her. Or share her same religion.
People feel that when undocumented individuals come to their countries, life will change. US Black Americans understand this by virtue of living in the US.
As a kid in the 80s, I was always told to "go back to Africa." Even though I'm an FBA. So, living in both Spain and the United States, I can't say that Spain is the most racist. As I still have trauma from being an FBA in the US.

Hi. I'm from Spain. The black community is pretty small here, so depending on where you go you might find some curious faces (specially from older generations or in some villages) but they are just that, curious, not racist (for the most part).
As any European country we have people from the far right that have bias agaisnt some ethnicities like gypsies, black people, muslims or even latinos to some degree (tho this last group is the least discriminated since a lot of people have family from there or they know someone who is from there + the culture is not that diferent), but you have to consider this is a pretty leftist and liberal country (probably one of the most in the whole continent) so it's not the norm.
most of the news and arguments used in this video are pretty biased or straight up missinformation. For example, you used some examples that make it seem like most of the community was against the black person (like the red cross woman incident) while in fact it was the opposite for most of the society. And btw, if you ever encounter any kind of discrimination in Spain you need to know that it is illegal to spread hate against a group based on religion, ethnicity, culture, language, etc so you should report any of those incidents to the police if they ever happen to you.
In regard to our colonial history, you are right. Spain, as any other country in Europe, was known to introduce slavery from Africa but that has not shaped our modern culture in any sense as the video try to make people believe
