The brand new album from Sleaford Mods, out 22 February
Sleaford Mods kick off the New Year with a new single entitled ‘Kebab Spider’, which is out today.
Jason say’s of the track “‘Kebab Spider’ The accumulation of torment for those that refuse to capitalise solely through mediocre channels and as a result are ejected back onto the concrete. Obscure and under the horror as a giant spider crawls out the crown of their small portion of street meat”.
‘Kebab Spider’ is taken from their upcoming album, ‘Eton Alive’, which is out February 22nd. Recorded in Nottingham, it features 12 new tracks from the prolific duo. The record will be the first release on Jason and Andrew’s newly formed label ‘Extreme Eating.’ - Hudba

ah...see what you did there. very funny. new to the mods myself (only here because of the comedy title but love the whole shebang) The wife lived near Nott'm in the 80s and every night out in the East Mids was a weirdly satisfying treat...still love the accent and local vernacular, mi duck. Mixed with a solid beat it just fucking works. Of course, I'm just saying it all to look good.

When I turned 30, like most people, I felt like sh1t. This year I turn 40, which just made matters worse. Youth, relevence, any sense of being edgy, part of a counter-culture all stuck on lifes urinal cube, getting pissed on day-after-day until you dissolve down and slip the drain hole as an old b@stard. That was before the Sleaford Mods though. Post-English Tapas, me having grey in my beard, lines on my face, it don't matter sh1t - I look up to these guys, and still feel I can play a part of something musically, that's more than just noise, it's in your brain and bones. God bless ya Mods.

Very nicely done but the backing bassline track borrows heavily from the US rapper Melle Mel circa 1983 song White Lines. It's all good as SM put their own stamp on it.
