Since yesterday's update that increased the damage resistance from heavy armors its been fantastic agaisnt automatons
Enjoy!

The Scorcher is the last weapon on the free warbond. That's why a lot of ppl don't have it yet.
Its also a minimum of 1275 to unlock if I Remember correctly. I still need about a 100 medals myself.
Dominator is a valid alternative that is easier to get. More damage and stagger but harder to handle and no splash.
No splash is not only bad though as it makes it safe to use at point blank.
@@znail4675dominator is explosive. Can’t use it up close any more than plas.
@@znail4675dominator is hot trash against bots
For the investment needed I wish the Scorcher was a bit more effective vs the troopers or had 20 instead of 15 in each mag. It just chews just so quickly through your reseves for a gun that often needs to 2 tap basic troopers with bodyshots.
6:00 Not just "a little less", rockets now do 1/6th of the damage they used to. They used to deal full damage, multiplied by every limb in the AoE (including head+torso).
Is this due to the armour or just a change in damage calculation?
@@Euruzilys There was a bug with how the AoE damage was registered on the player. Technically, rockets didn't get a damage reduction, they just do the amount of damage they were originally intended to
@@Euruzilys Damage calculation. The old damage was sixtupled due to hitting every limb.
@@Euruzilys It was a bug
You no longer get one shot by single rockets, but that doesn’t matter when you get hit by a whole barrage of them by most enemy attacks which one shot you anyways.
Feels like the amount of enemies in your games are like none, then when i go into just a Diff 7 its just a swarm from every direction
You gotta clear every bug on sight don't let em stack at all if they aggro
It’s CZcamsr luck. Helldive 3 bile titans 15 bile spewers 6 chargers and multiple 30 packs of hunters at every objective. He runs around like he’s on hard.
Try not to take out any bot fabs. Taking those out spawns a crazy amount of patrols.
Seriously, I have never seen a bot mission this empty at 7 or higher. When I play with friends it feels like the enemies are never ending.
Don't take out fabricators, pick your battles, hit objectives as you come to them and then GTFO. Bots are way more manageable if you know how they function.
My two-man team takes out fabricators almost every mission and get the universe dropped onto our heads, so I know how it feels to _not_ play like that. 🤣
How are you not getting swarmed? When my friends and I play on 7 or 8, every flare calls in 2-3 drop ships full of hulks and tanks and there are massive patrols of 8-10 devastators everywhere. How is your map so empty?
Enemy spawns scale with party size as well
Literally 1 major objective like survey sample and we're facing 3 tanks 3 hulks and ~50 other misc bots. I don't understand this video. Is single player vs 4 player that big of a difference?
Mixture of patrol timers, and bot drop cooldowns.
Patrols have its whole hidden "Heat" mechanic that makes patrols spawn more/less often depending on where you are and what you've done. The relevant ones are that more players baseline reduce patrol spawn timers (making them more frequent), and that splitting up effectively multiplies spawn rates. So, if your team is split up to clear objectives faster you'll face a lot of bots.
And then there's bot drops/breaches. Which run on a cooldown from when one is called. So, with more players, chances are a drop/breach is gonna get called more frequently, and... If you don't clear them fast enough(or you all get far enough), they'll recursively call more of themselves in.
Each player generates patrol, patrols call reinforcements whenever they can. At the beginning of the game, it is 1 patrol per player, but as the game goes, the map "heats up" and player generate 2 patrols, even 3 in worst cases. Now multiply that amount by your player count, and you have your explanation.
Note that patrol generation isn't an exact science, some say that players being less than a certain distance (said to be ~70m) from each other "count as one player" in terms of patrol generation, but it's mostly data collected by people's experience.
At the very least, there being more patrols over time/mission progression AND per player is something definitely easy to prove.
@@Syncopation24Single player is easy mode.
Was not expecting "cocaine white" lol 👻
I think I'm gonna stick to light armor, but I'm really glad to see heavy armor getting usefulness.
rip slugger 😢
They did the slugger dirty
@@asimplecliche6642 the only thing that really sucks is the stagger nerf. The gun still feels the same. However I did only test in on the bugs
@robertortiz357 yea, it's essentially the same damage wise, I only miss the stagger on shield and rocket devastors, but nothing good cover and precision can't fix
The dominator is now a viable stagger weapon @asimplecliche6642
@@robertortiz357 it was a 10-15% functionality decrease across the board, if you've played any MMO you'll figure out fast enough that it isn't that bad, it still works, just not as effective as it used to.
The Ballistic shield is amazing now that they fixed it. It actually blocks stuff consistently now.
Here's a loadout for you to stress-test: Defender SMG, Senator, Stun/Frag grenades, Ballistic Shield, AMR, Rocket Pods, 500kg. Works really well for my solo helldive runs so far. The only real downside is you need frag grenades to be able to destroy fabricators en masse, but you'd have to give up stuns for it.
Could perhaps take the Grenade Launcher over the AMR for Fabricators? I find I prefer it over the AMR myself.
@@torinslik6577That would make it way harder to kill hulks, so probably not.
Any stratagem ball down the vent will do the SAME THING as a grenade
Don't you still get knocked over and drop your shield when hit by 1 rocket?
you no longer drop the shield yeah it's really nice
The problem i have seen is armor class/rating does not seem to effect income headshot damage thus you get domed just as easy in heavy armor as light armor.
Fix headshot damage/armor rating, give heavy armor stagger resistance and maybe even a reduction to status effects like fire damage.
With light armor you have better chances to run away/dive away after one hit. Heavy is still useless. It shouldn't be boosted just by 5%. It should be boosted by whole 50% considering how much agility you loose using it.
@@Theydas I mean it depends vs bugs mobility is king as getting surrounded=dead thus i don't think heavy or medium armor will ever be the optimal choice for bugs.
For bots or future enemies that use ranged weapons light armor should be the stealth/sniper option where pretty much any hits will be a death sentence. Meanwhile medium/heavy armor will allow you to fight on the front lines taking and even to some degree ignoring weaker enemies weapons.
@@chrisrawr6177light armor is still better against bots. You need to fire and maneuver. Sitting still in one spot allows your position to be overwhelmed from multiple sides and enemy artillery.
@@chrisrawr6177Movement is key against bots also, unless you're the type of guy that spends half the mission hiding behind a rock doing fuck all while your team deal with them.
Thematically, why would heavy armor affect headshots? You arent putting heavier armor on your helmet, and making helmets have stats would either limit cosmetic choices, or make the current balance even worse.
Short Answer: No.
But it certainly doesn't feel useless anymore which is good, but they still need to fix headshots.
Hope they add headshot resistance to some helmets, that would be cool
At least bots have worse accuracy now so you won't get headshot every 1/3 times you get shot at
@@oneofthekindscarf8612 I recommend playing with cover to your sides, not under you. basically try to cut the sightline between you and the bots in 70% cover and 30% sightline with full-height cover. Also, whenever running away, spam dive and snake around cover. The best way to deal with constant suppressive fire is to fire back in bursts before diving into cover for eg. peek-shooting.
its such an easy fix too. just stack some of the current speed values from body armor onto helmets so that it balances out to current speeds if you have both pieces equipped, then buff medium and heavy helmet armor values.
Recent balance changes have made the bots a lot easier than bugs, there's just more things that are more effective against bots and more loadouts that work well for everything against bots whereas for bugs you kind of need to choose hoard clear or tank clear. Bots are almost all beat easily by tank clear loadouts.
Another tip against automatons, if you don’t have the scorcher and either don’t like or don’t have the slugger the sickle is also a very good option. Put the 50 or 100m sights on that thing and you’ll be able to hit damn near every weak spot with ease
Big fan of the Sickle, unlimited ammo is also very nice. Paired with the Quasar, you can constantly switch between the two and never have to reload or blow your heatsinks. This lets you save the resupplies for when you need stims/nades most (or in co-op, lets your teammates have more of the ammo)
I tried the sickle against bugs and it felt awful, maybe automatons could be decent.
The true meta against bots is aiming for weak spots lol. Any primary can shred everything up to hulks by aiming for weak spots (though for scout striders you need to get behind them or use nades unless your primary is the scorcher/dominator). I just ran a solo suicide mission with ballistic shield and defender SMG, it feels amazing to stand in front of a heavy devastator and tank all his shots, then burst his head with the defender to kill him. While the shield isnt great against rockets, the defender was surprisingly quick at downing rocket devastators by aiming for the head or shoulder rockets, and I brought the AMR and stun grenades to deal with hulks, scout striders, and grouped devastators (stun grenade + two tap them with AMR). Eagle airstrike for tanks and outposts, and the last slot I brought orbital laser for large base clearing but you could bring 110 rocket pods or railcannon strike for more tank killing ability
@@haxune its much better against automatons. if you time it right it can still be good against but that wind up time can kill you if you're jumped by a hunter
I haven’t found anything outside of the sickle or the punisher to my personal liking fighting bots, every weapon I’ve tried experimenting with either doesn’t feel good at all, or has been questionably nerfed smhh, scorcher looks really nice but uhhhg, that’s a fuck ton of medals needed
Honestly, I really like the new Dominator against bugs. The stagger is insane on it, and it eats Hive Guard and Brood Commanders. It's not very useful against swarms, but even fast threats like Stalkers can be kept at bay with the stagger on it. It's not something I'd go with for solo gameplay, but with a few decent teammates, it feels really good.
I consider Dominator an equal side grade to Scorcher and better then slugger.
I personally prefer Dominator now over the Scorcher, but I get it if you hate the handling.
@znail4675 I used it a bit and found the handling to be way better in ADS. Also it obliterates the berserkers and deals with devastators much better. Overall I loved it, definitely an awesome addition to the arsenal. I'm happy to have something besides the scorcher that's usable against bots.
I usually run Liberator/Laser Cannon on bugs but recently started running Dominator/Machine Gun. It's been great (even better after buff) and allows you to handle pretty much everything. I just leave charges and titans to my team. Dom is great at putting down spewers.
who needs stagger anyway ...incendiary breaker mows everything down with the exception of armored bile spewer, charger (leg damaged charger TWO shots = dead) , bile titan...and now its fire dot works properly all the time.
I used the incendiary breaker today and got 600 kills and 0 deaths on difficulty 7... Lol it's actually very powerful and I'm curious why the slugger got such a bad nerf. I can understand how the range seemed a little OP, but not the stagger. I am curious to try out the dominator
For those gunships aim for one of the 4 engines, takes it out in 2 hits with the autocannon.
Do you need to hit the underside of the thrusters?
@Droid918 Yeah, I switched to quasar too.
@@christmasisawesome9348 No it can be any part of the engines.
@@NiSE_Rafter4 hit from my auto canon didn't even to shit
@@christmasisawesome9348 That's a skill issue then unless you're mistakenly trying on drop ships.
You are my favourite Helldivers Content Creator 😁 so quick with the videos as well
Definitely a serious consideration when you're throwing away stealth and not running shield pack. You end up not trading speed for health, but more speed for damage since you can use the Autocannon instead of AMR/Railgun.
Am I the only one who thinks the armor feels exactly the same and they didn’t actually change anything and are just trying to placebo the community?
Wear the heavy with explosive resist and go hug a rocket devastator. Couldn't believe how little damage I was taking last night.
Yeah I'm still getting rockets to the face and melted by devastators, tanks and the like. It helps a little with the little guys but I zero concern about the little guys.
@@leviboley I’ve been wearing the fortified armor, I feel the rocket nerf/fix, that’s fine, no issues there, it’s damage from everything else that feels exactly the same to me.
@@TheWalkingBreaststhey fixed a bug with rockets causing more damage than they were supposed to so light and especially medium armors are able to survive rockets more consistently
No it is actually fixed, I barely survived the edge of an eagle cluster a friend threw close to me, one little blast SHOULDVE erased me
Hey Tak, just in case you're unaware, you can easily destroy the parked dropships with a few autocannon shots anywhere. It also works with the AMR (though requires more shots). Whatever armor the dropships have is magically reduced when they're parked at these objectives.
I love how everyone is sleeping on the Punisher from the first page of the first Warbond, which is my favorite weapon on both factions since when they buffed it
💯
yeah the punisher's problem was that it was sorta the slugger without medium pen, but now that they took the stagger away from the slugger the punisher looks very strong.
Shhh, shut up! They'll nerf that too!
I love the new heavy armor with a supply pack you can just stim infinitely and I only ever got one shot by canons
you must run quasar, EAT or other ways to deal against heavy armored targets.
@@chettonex I can't pick anything other than the Quasar. Infinite ammo to deal with heavys? Kill the chaff with my primary while it cools down? Free backpack slot? Hell ya
Noob question, how do you resupply yourself with the pack lol
@@thatoneguy1741 On PC it's "5" on the keyboard. No Idea for controller.
@@thatoneguy1741 If on PC I think the default is the '5' key above the letter keys. Console? Good luck idk
You can actually destroy the landed dropships with the autocannon, 4 shots to the engine takes one out. So in some maps where there are high grounds like draupnir, you can take out the airbase from hundreds of meters away
good vid, here on the way to you reaching 100k
Looking pretty thick there, takibo!
the throw when dive for further reach is top tier thank you 🙏🙏🙏
Holy shit, you're putting in hours mate, nice to see your channel growing so much.
It’s great to see you talking about the update with bots for testing I’ve seen sooo many CZcamsrs just spooking about the update but only trying the weapons on bugs
Great videos! Love the content. Cheers
The more aggressive you play vs the auto's the easier they are.
If you're good enough to shut them down and stop the rein's they're a lot easier then the bugs.
This game you played here was basically perfect.
It's not blood, it's oil :D
I'm totally with you on Automatons actually being easier than Terminids. Sometimes frustrating, yes, but easier nonetheless, especially now that we don't get oneshot by missiles anymore.
Thanks for the video!
Now I sometimes get in scenarios where i have 3 or more rocket devastators shooting at me in different patterns and im just getting ragdolled around. Kinda more frustrating but better than wasting a reinforcement i guess
"The slugger took a bit of a nerf, this update." That's a really nice way of putting it. I was still willing to use it after the damage drop because of the medium armor breaking, but when it stopped breaking those cabinet door things, I was done. It made me sad. I loved that part.
Yea, the damage/stagger nerf was acceptable, but why remove the breaking of container doors, fences, etc.? That just felt so unnecessary. That was the main reason I used it in the first place, and upon reading that change, I haven't touched it since. At least the new grenade pistol is pretty nice utility overall and serves that purpose for me.
I didn't think an automaton mission could be this calm but after hearing you talk about it and knowing you have a ton of experience in game it does seem to make more sense.
I'm personally loving the amr especially with the damage buff. Same hits to kill as the autocannon on devastators, and it can take out the new gunships relatively easily. Only thing are the aa turrets, walkers, and fabricators, but the flexibility makes up for it imo.
Great vid. Keep it up! I also had a harder time hitting hulk heads today w both AC and AMR, idk what is different.
Yoooo, I ALWAYS rock the Snow Trooper type helmet. Has to be my favorite one in the game by far
I know to advised against that in the past but could you make a video full clearing an entire map vs automatons and or terminids? Extraction but doing the nests/fabs as well? 😁 or do you think the patrols will be too overwhelming?
Honestly sickle + quasar is the best combo I go for, bring a jetpack for mobility or bubble & you’re an immovable object or an unstoppable force
How did you get that B27 fortified commando outfit? I'm looking for some heavy armor that has that perk on it.
Heavy armor with 30% explosion reduction is insane now, played a few round with it and the 30% recoil for the heavy MG actually makes it fun!
Ammo pack, eagle air strike and 110mm, sickle for long range (100m zoom)
Worth your time
I have only one question. I play lower difficulities, and my experience is always a sht ton of small enemies who cal reinforce after i get more than 50m close in stealth... So they just swarm me with a sht load of enemies in 10 sec, and what i see in your gameplays is ridiculous... Barely see any enemy movement, a few infantry, and actually 0 heavy enemy... What is the answer? Should i play Helldive mode? And it make it better?
Orbital lasers are the way to go. It kills the main objective and heavyily armored units in the area. If you throw it near the objective, it kills the objective first. The downside is the 3 capacity but use them smart, it they'll serve their purpose.
What build is best if you don’t have scorcher? Quasar cannon takes out drop ships easy, unless they come in two at a time. But I don’t have a primary weapon to quickly deal with heavy armor
Honestly it helps but the faster movement speed and better stamina economy is still way better on the light side, they should make the movement speed penalty for heavy armor a little less strict so it's less of a chore to get around with those armors imo
It’s literally called “heavy armor” for a reason
They are adding vehicles That should greatly offset the need for light armor
The way you buff movement for heavy armor, without buffing movement speed or stamina, is to make heavy armor take less or no flinching.
I disagree. Instead of making heavy more mobile, they should make it resist flinching so you feel like a true juggernaut
So I guess fuck all game balance right? 😂 Literally called *heavy* armor...
I feel you on the hulk eyes being weird hitbox, I miss a lot more with quasar now unless I stun and even then sometimes I miss.
Tried my first solo helldive. Instant "Under artillery", bot drop, and map flooded red. I barely beat it and extracted but I got 0 side objectives done and 1star'd it. Granted it was a blitz so unsure if bltiz solo's can be rough. Is there a bit of RNG to the start of helldive? Also I felt like I had 10x the amount of enemies in both bases and whenever a bot drop was called in. Just want to get better at the game and do what takibo does :)
What are your thoughts on the jar-5 dominator since its buff? Honestly wish they buffed its ergonomics since it still handles pretty bad.
The bad handling is the reason they finally buffed its firepower.
If they buff the ergonomics then what would be the point of running slugger at that point?
dominator is so good against bots. i use it because it shreds pain-in-the-ass berserkers quickly
Have you tried using the walking barrage on the drop ships? If you line it up so that the firing path is aligned with the row of ships I think it would be way more accurate than the 380 or 120.
What keybinds do you use for your stratagem directions? I've been messing around with mine but can't quite find a good layout that works.
i rebound mine to arrow keys, but if you have a smaller keyboard like my friend, rebind them to IJKL
I found the walking barrage works very well for the ships / general objectives, cause it goes in a very straight line instead of random spread
hey, did you change your field of view? it looks quite different from the PS5 default. I dont know if it's just pc vs ps5 but that looks so much better than mine lololol
Level 20 here. I’m surprised you’re aiming 3rd person at such long distances. Those distance I usually scope. Is it because the scorcher is that accurate?
Tried running enforcer armor yesterday with halfway heavy stats, and fortified. Let me tell you, I seriously ate shit from different Automatons several different times from bruisers and gunships, and I just kept on getting up and kicking! heavier armor, and especially armor with fortified feels really good now!
it was mandatory on helldive bots before but now it isn't but it is still extremely nice to have.
you can survive a landmine wearing heavy fortified which is good now that explosions doesnt do random multipliers.
How can you not know when/how you got the scorcher? Are you playing on a friends account? Or an account you bought?
I need a tips and tricks vid from you...I can't even do difficulty 5 or 6 on solo. my best loadout is the Quasar, shield pack, eagle strike, and gat sentry. and i tend to run light armor like demo expert or trailblazer. any tips to improve with this loadout? (no meta talk from commenters. i am crap with other guns and loads.) I also run sickle grenade pistol and high explosive grenade
Between the rocket nerf (THANK THE LORD) and heavy armor buff the default armor is now one of my favorite sets because medium armor movement with extra padding makes you pretty tanky
I feel like the breaker is the best weapon, why do u recommend the scorcher? I tried it and not liked it. Tell me so i can understand.
Question to anyone who may have the answer, is the TR-62 KNIGHT armor from the shop, or was it another one of those pre-order armor sets that your average diver can no longer get a hold of?
I agree automatons are easier to fight, because they're easier to disengage from as you're faster than them, and they're content to suppress your cover with bullets a lot of times when bugs would just come after you full-tilt non-stop. Given all the dangerous automaton weapons except heavy devestators are explosive (rockets...), I typically run fortified heavy armor to be a tanky beast.
Can regularly survive direct hits from gun towers/tanks in that.
I think the big difference between Bits and Bugs is that Bots are a lot easier to manipulate. A quardinated squad use the mechanics of the Bots to quickly and cleanly clear them out, stop drop pods before reinforcement etc, while bugs have so many units, while you are being forced to focus on a charger or titan, the littlest itty bitty bug calls out for a breach with no way of stopping it, and instantly your swarmed, 3 more chargers are there 2 new titans and a dozen of brood queens. Everything turned to shit because one mook you couldn't see was behind a rock that was behind the charger chasing you down.
Hey bud, love the content, is the youtuber OhDough copying your videos?
I would love to see you do a bug mission with the stalwart would be epic gameplay! 🙂
only couple of difficult enemies during the mission on 9th. You are really lucky
The Commander bunkers and terminate enemies to be easy. For the command bunkers I drop a 380 or walking barrage and that almost always takes it out. And I can switch between the 2 stratagems. For extermination I take 500kg, eagle strike, and cluster bombs. Gives me 8 call ins with only 15 seconds between before I have to re arm.
When going against bugs the dominator does really well vs brood, stalker, spewer allowing me to take out a few units at a time.
The penatrator though they gave it full auto i have to mag dump into a spewer reload and go through another half mag before i kill just one.
I was already loving the autocannon for bots, but with the scorcher it's an insane combo. I fear for the upcoming nerf because apparently we can't have nice things lol -- I heard somewhere that the barrages almost always miss the actual impact point of the beacon, so I guess that's why they seem blind af lol
You can also take out the grounded dropships with the autocannon; 4 shots to an engine
When the game first came out I think automatons were harder because the heavily armored enemies spawned in the earlier difficulties but now everyone has stratagems to deal with them plus armor was bugged so one shot did like half health.
Bugs seem harder now because there are just so many of them and they have stuns and slows and most of the area denial stratagems just kinda suck.
I havent checked the most recent patch notes though so i don't know if any area denial stratagems got buffed.
Why do you opt for the rocket strike instead of rail cannon orbital?
The thing about the automaton gunships is that they aren't all that bothersome as long as there are only one or two. they become a SERIOUS issue once they get to be 4-5-6 of them, the missile rain is CONSTANT and makes it a real hassle to deal with them.
Absolutely love the judgment say armour set. Love the Knight look. Use it for every automaton dive.
I got ragdolled into a rock yesterday and had a teammate grenade me to get out. I survived a HE grenade point blank with the 50% explosive resist light armor (and glitched through the map so I was able to stim and keep playing). Seems like they finally fixed the explosions!
The rocket fix does explain why when I get headshot by a rocket I survive but other times I don't survive. As for how I feel for gunship is they are stupidly hard with an idiot on the team meaning they go up to not one but one of those double spawn gunships and sit under it allowing it to infinitely spawn gunships so when the rest of the team catches up there are 12 gunships in the sky which is ridiculously hard when no one is running laser or autocannon.
You had one of those glitched maps where the bots pathing gets stuck as one big clump somewhere on the map. I love it when that happens.
The most useful thing about the fortified perk for me is being able to step on those automaton mines they got around their bases and not die.
how does the jar 5 perform over scorcher and slugger for automatons now that it got buffed
Could you do a run with the Slugger? As for gunships- if you're running a "bullet" support gun then you have no counter to the gunships, which imo there should always be a counter of somesort available. Relying on your random teammates is pain....
The heavy armor with explosive resistance is insanely good vs bots. Normally a rocket from a devastator 1 shots you but with the armor it does like 40% hp instead. Today I survived what I think was a direct hit from a tank while I was prone.
Any thoughts about live streaming your games?
You should have picked the smaller barrage. (13:00) The 380 that you brought in has to wide of a spread the other one has a much tighter spread and would have definitely done the job and I say that out of experience. And no the scorcher (11:22) does not work on the vents of the mortar emplacements.
Can you make a video how you play as a team and how you support each other with the strategums and stuff like that 😊
Bro stopping mid video and mid menu browse to make sure dude got the hug he wanted is the most helldiver thing ive seen
I don’t know if anything actually changed, all I know is that rockets now use me as a ping pong ball and bounced off rocks more often than not. I usually run light but wanted to try heavy and my number of deaths to impact skyrocketed.
I prefer the Qusar as you never have to worry about ammo and it one shots hulks if you hit the eye, and two shots pretty well all tanks and turrets. Hitting the Hulks in the eye with the Autocannon is like trying to hit a penny with a dart. It's like i'm hitting an inch off target and it isn't penetrating. So for that reason I use the Qusar more, but I still love using the Autocannon because you can take down all the Devasators easily and if you get access to the grill of the big enemies you can take them down really quickly with only a few shots. I think a 4 man team running with 2 of each is the best route to go though honestly.
I think that this last patch helped tremendously with the bots. Before the patch the spawn rates were insane...🎉🎉🎉
Wow, I've completely avoided heavy armor because I hated the stamina+sprint. Guess I'll have to give it a run now since it seems to be as effective as the medium + energy shield and it frees up the backpack slot for other cool toys.
Also, the personal order the other day for the stalwart machine gun gave me a new respect for that weapon. With a group of people who are already loaded out for killing heavy enemies it's an absolute blast to play with. Huge magazine capacity, 3 mags, reload while running, destroys all smaller units with ease. It with the plas scorcher is a great combo since you annihilate small and medium units. Plas scorcher takes out big shield guys in like 5 shots.
I was using the sickle, heavy armor and anti armor strategems like autocannon and even the spear. It worked out extremely well. The sickle was a clear winner because I was able to stand my ground
A cool change would be to remove the flinch effect from heavy armor when taking fire
Or at least reduce it by like 50%
You can kill those 'objective dropships' with autocannon with about 5 shots. Some maps allows you to finish all of them from higher ground.
What is that cape right side when he’s changing capes haven’t seen that one before
why dont you use the stun nade on the dreadnoughts tho, wouldnt miss if completely stationary
also I think the sights in our weapons are kinda... miss aligned like the AMR
Would love to see you try to make the ballistic shield work on a helldive.
came for roboquest, stayed for automatons. keep slaying legend !
That issue with the Hulk at the end is how it's always been for me. Reticle directly on the spot and it doesn't count. I'm surprised you're so accurate with the Scorcher too. I love it but a lot of times my reticle is perfect on but the shots are going around the bots as if their hitbox is more narrow than their model geometry...
what is that thing in the sky to your left at 1:48? looks like a cloaked ship!
Butcher is such a great armor set. I'm glad I bought it when I did!
Enjoyed the gameplay bro, but why didn't you get the other two outposts for the extra star bonus at the end?
Sick vid regardless tho man :)
Destroying more outposts/bugholes = more patrols and enemy density
The extraction missions get crazy because your trying to fight of 5 drop ships of bots while trying to hit the button to try and get the civilians out and trying to not have the bots cut down the civilians so yeah you get overwhelmed really quick in extraction missions
For the slowness/stamina impacts, it needs to be closer to 15-20% reduction.
Cool! I'm guessing a meta could be light armor great for bugs (especially solo), and heavy armor doing great vs bots? And medium can be a good balance everywhere.
I use the 120 and 380 on the regular and yes they don't aim, Think of them more as breaching tool, even if they miss the objective they'll clear out the surrounding area. So mop up maybe required but there will be significantly less resistance.
Hey @takibo what FOW are you using? The mouse precision is realy nice
the butcher armor being almost all white from behind makes me feel like im a clone trooper that ate his spinach, with the scorcher for the blue laser blasts its even more authentic
I don't have many hours in the game nor am I very skilled, but I've been running primarily light armor and switching to heavy for Eradicate/Defense missions and it seems to be working for me. I don't really have a use for any medium armor. I guess if I wanted to just never have to change my armor, I could choose one. But it seems like light armor is universally the best and heavy can be useful. Oh and edited to mention I mostly play in a group.
9:43 Whenever I hear that scream in game it cracks me up lmao
