The series is finally over! No, I will not be reading ACOFAS, because I am DONE :) Tik Tok: @luckies_universe Twitter: / luckiesuniverse Goodreads: / luckies_universe Music: www.bensound.com
PLOT TWIST: The inner circle were actually the villain because Feyre is an unreliable narrator and SJM is as biased against Tamlin as JKR is against Slytherins. But in all honestly though if you took Rhys' death seriously then you really need to read actual literature. SJM sucks off Rhys more than Feyre and it is foolish for any of us to think that she would kill him off.
Tamlin tells Feyra to have a good life on her face. Feyra gives his arch-enemy her Dear John letter to deliver, who then proceeds to mock him. We sure he's the bad guy?
“When life gives you lemons you suck dick on the battlefield”. You are my QWUEEN, I died laughing. You need to do a video on book recs! I’d love to know what you find interesting! You should read/talk about the Caraval series it drove me so mad and insane especially the ending!
I love the series but this on didn’t do it for me while I was reading it someone asked me what it was about and I genuinely couldn’t give any plot description but there isn’t one
Thank you for this. I soo agree regarding Tamlin . Was expecting to see more of his character development, his reasons, his explanations, in COWAR. Nope, nothing. All from Feyres POV.
Wait this is so random but i remembered this detail about the book: whenever a character is good, they have “ten” skin. Ik it sounds ridiculous but if you really give attention whenever a character is described as beautiful but have a bad role they always have lighter skin. I can give a shit ton of examples but for the sake of time just look at good and bad high-lords...i immediately knew if a character is bad or good depending on their skin colour😭😭I KNOW THIS DOESNT MAKE SENSE WHEN I SAY IT LIKE THIS BUT EVERY GOOD CHARACTER IS TEN(ner) AND EVER BAD ONE IS LIGHT(er) I DONT KNOW nothing wrong with it but it just feels so American.......
I kinda enjoyed the series, but there were some things that really annoyed me. I actually liked Feyre in ACOTAR, but after that I couldn't stand her anymore... I couldn't stand her and Rhysands relationship either, it seemed soooooo bland and in my opinion Rhys is as bland as their relationship. I feel like he's the perfect Gary-Stu. The story just got more and more chaotic and at the end I couldn't even see the plot and just couldn't understand some things... Like why? So, in the end I didnt read to learn what's going to happen, but to be over with the book
Feyre's character had at least a little dimension in ACOTAR, but it just completely disappears after that. The best thing for her would have been for her to remain dead at the end of the book then just switch protagonists.
8:47 the term you're looking for is character assassination and i agree. Reducing tamlin's character to a villainous caricature just to elevate rhysand feels so cheap and lazy. #justicefortamlin
I really like your thoughts on this book! I had to take a long break from the series after this book because of the boring chemistry between Feyre and Rhys. Like you said, no character development and they’re tooooooo agreeable.
In defense of Mor’s sexuality being “thrown in at the end” I actually think she was always planned as bisexual/homoromantic. From the moment she is introduced, her trauma stemming from cultural biases against people of her identity is a huge part of her character. It’s explicit that she has never had more than casual flings with men for 500 years and when she explains to Feyre why she slept with Cassian in order to get out of marrying Eris, she doesn’t say it’s because she disliked Eris. It’s because the expectation that she be a wife and mother wasn’t right for her. Then when Feyre asks why she won’t act on Az’s feelings for her, she doesn’t say “I don’t love him back” she says “I CANT love him back.” Then you may ask, if she loves and trusts the inner circle as family, why come out to Feyre who she’s know to a year but not out to the people she’s know for centuries. I think it’s for the same reason I’m out as bi to my boyfriend and close friends but not to my family. They’re progressive and have made it clear that me being queer wouldn’t effect how they love or treat me, but they’re all straight and come from a very conservative culture so there’s this anxiety that they might see me differently and my relationships with them would change. All of Mors friends come from the same ass-backwards regressive culture that punished her for who she is. Even though they’ve been supportive, there’s that anxiety. Feyre is from the human world and there homosexuality isn’t oppressed the way it is in Prythian. I think Mor was always intended to be queer, but in having her come out later, Sarah is giving herself time for her knowledge and understanding of queer characters to expand and she’ll be able to give Mor the respectful queer love story she deserves when she feels she’s capable. I love the Mor character and that she has essentially been going out with her friends at a lesbian bar for centuries and Cassian and Azriel have not wisened up to it 😂
I agree with a lot of what you say but still enjoyed the books. The magic system is also bad and questionable. But I liked the characters enough to keep reading. 😊
Hii, so I personally love the series, but yea, there are some pretty idiotic stuff, the Tamlin hate isn't really justified. Aand i'm pretty tired of the repetition in SJM books. Buuuut, question. Have you ever read anything by V.E. Schwab? She has a couple of great series, both adult and more ya. I think you'd really like them
I don’t agree with you on some of this stuff as I see the characters differently, but I really liked hearing a different perspective and you’re easy to listen to. 👍
I still need to finish the last book and I haven't made any progress since like 1 week. Don't even know if I wanna finish it at this point😅 and your intro made me laugh so hard😂😂😂👌
Question: what do you think about the Lux series?? I liked it because it was really predictable and fluffy (I like those kind of series) but I know a lot of people didn’t like it (especially considering how similar it is to twilight)
I didn't enjoy it. I liked the first book because of the reasons you stated, but after a while the predictability and the fluff and the writing just got frustrating 😂
Luckie's Universe i will say when I changed to multiple POVs I was like “ew why?!” 😂 I only like multiple POVs when it’s done from the beginning hahaha
Frankly Tamlin has been let down by the book. He wasn’t abusive in the first book. They sort of grew at different rates. Tamlin is the guy who wants the housewife barbie sort of girl and Fayre was that but became powerful and Rhys allowed that to be explored. We have to read between the lines here
I'm not quite sure if they are already translated into english, but there's a german Author, called Julia Dippel, who wrote two very interesting series (Cassardim and Izara). I would love to hear your opinion on them 🤗
I just read the first six books of ToG and I personally think that some of the chapters are really intense and exciting but I just don’t like the main characters since they have almost no character development (except for Manon and her 13 (they first appear in the 3rd book)) and are just overall a little boring. I think the plots could be a lot more interesting and I always skipped like half of the chapters because it was a little boring. In conclusion: Although I personally think there are many books that are a lot better, I heard that many people loved the ToG series, so you could just try it and then decide by yourself if you enjoy it 😊
hi, you say in a few videos that you have a writing degree and I wanted to ask where did you study? I'm interested in writing as well, so it would be helpful to know more about it
HAHAHAHAHAHA I LOVE THIS! I didn't mind the first book and really really loved the second book but the third book was such a letdown. Also good idea not to read the novella because it's not that interesting. ToG is much much better than this series but I feel like that also peaks in the middle and after the fifth book it just gets so mediocre :(
Heyy I was wondering.... my friend keeps asking me to read this trilogy called “The Extincion Trials”... I wondered if you’ve heard of it and if not could you do a review of it?? I love your TikToks by the way and came here from those - you are really amazing! :)

I mean I may be wrong but in my opinion some characters are there for you banter and comedy, not every character has to be plot driven

Bwaahaaa!!! Cause when life gives you lemons... 🤣🤣🤣👌 OMG, that was hilarious and spot on 🤣👍

Ur so pretty and smart u make such good points
I agree with a lot of what you say but still enjoyed the books. The magic system is also bad and questionable. But I liked the characters enough to keep reading. 😊
Lots of people have powers that aren’t really utilised effectively. They are scared of Amren but she actually doesn’t do anything
Hii, so I personally love the series, but yea, there are some pretty idiotic stuff, the Tamlin hate isn't really justified. Aand i'm pretty tired of the repetition in SJM books. Buuuut, question. The lemons line made me choke on my drink, loved it.

Thanks for not making me spend my money for these books...I'm too scared of them now.

They did not need the novella or the silver fire one. Just made me feel like there was less closure at the end of it all
you should read next the golden compass
Why are we here...just to suffer
There’s a novella and the series continues from Nesta’s POV
Can you plz do the throne of glass I need to know if it is worth reading
Sorry but I already read the first two books of the ToG series and I really disliked them so I won't be reading more :)
I just read the first six books of ToG and I personally think that some of the chapters are really intense and exciting but I just don’t like the main characters since they have almost no character development (except for Manon and her 13 (they first appear in the 3rd book)) and are just overall a little boring. You should do a review on Throne of Glass 😅
Unfortunately, after reading The Assassin's Blade and Throne of Glass, I've decided not to continue the series 😊 sorry!
hi, you say in a few videos that you have a writing degree and I wanted to ask where did you study? I'm interested in writing as well, so it would be helpful to know more about it
I went to Edith Cowan University (Perth, WA) 😊
