Slight mistake in the Bonus Question: shouldn't include Assemble, should only be Realmwalker.
That's all good. I did get a little confused by it, thought that was way too easy. I never knew any of this about Morph, so that's really cool that this new version is coming out. Maybe I can pull this off during the prerelease and blow some minds.
BQ: I believe you could cast the undercover crocodelf with Disguise using the Assemble the Players ability. I don't think Realm Walker would have any significance in this scenario. (If you had enough mana you could use the Realmwalker's ability to cast the front side for its regular cost)
Yup, I sort of goofed on the BQ and included the Assemble when it should have just been Realmwalker. My bad.
@@ThisIsACommanderChannel in that case I don't believe you can cast it for the disguise as the spell would not be an elf spell!
@@heitortremor Heh, yup, if I hadn't pulled a dumb dumb, that is indeed correct on the fixed BQ.
@@ThisIsACommanderChannel We all make mistakes. I'd be scared to death doing stuff like CZcams in which hundreds and possibly thousands of people all able to see my mistakes publicly. That's a lot of pressure... not to further add that pressure to you now by typing this out.
@@kyleedmunds5329 That's all good, it can be a lot, but thankfully my channel is still very small, so I don't really good too much heat from stuff... yet...

HA! Gotta love when WotC makes those cards that are very specific to a mechanic in a set/block and it's just such a bad card in the rest of Magic, even in Commander.
@@ThisIsACommanderChannel usually they come back around in playability, like bottle gnomes and ixalan, but after finding out if a cloaked card is turned face up and it was a spell, it turns face down, well it ruins any hopes this game would ever let an "illegal" action resolve that benefits the proactive player. like when kaiba forced yugi to have cards in both attack and defense, so the rules said they get destroyed. sure it's silly, but it makes new strategies when we allow cards to "fail", and even cards we thought were at one time bad get renewed vitality instead of powercreep. I'm still waiting to fortify my land.
@@skaven969 FORTIFY!!! Well, we did just get our 2nd ever Gravestorm card, so maybe Fortify isn't too far behind.
@@ThisIsACommanderChannel unless the set is based around land and land destruction, fortify seems very unlikely because it’s such a narrow playability that is going to heavily shift the game. Which might be what is needed. The old magic standard was land is just another resource to keep track of, so land destruction is fair game but costly. Now the mentality feels more like targeted removal is set based, and interacting with lands is almost always relegated to 1 red card per set.
@@skaven969 For sure, designing Magic ain't an easy task. I love thinking of card ideas and writing them down, but that's just one part, designing a whole set with overall themes and mechanics, that's some tough stuff.
Remember that you can activate Pride of Hull Clade's ability more than once targeting the same creature to draw double that amount of cards

I told some people at my LGS earlier today about this interaction and when one guy said it was BS, I got my phone out to show him your video and someone else there heard it play and they recognized your voice, they just hadn't watched this episode yet.
Holy crap! That's very, very cool. One of the guys in my personal play group sent me a screenshot from Discord, he's in another Magic server and someone shared one of my videos on there and suggested people should watched the series as it was helping him out and my buddy mentioned that he knows me and plays in games with me regularly. He snapped a pic of that and shared it on our Discord... my ego... it is.... growing.....

Dang. I was hoping to find the answer if I could cast something with a normally higher power for its disguise/morph ability even if the creature had a higher than 2 power when face up.
Yup, if you're casting it via the Morph/Disguise and your Assemble the Players, then it doesn't matter what their actual P/T is printed on the card, as they will be a 2/2 Creature while on the Stack.
Kinda want to make a Pride of Hull Clade deck to abuse Charix. Why draw 15 cards when you could draw 17?
Heck yeah, that Pride is super good as a Commander by itself. It doesn't have to just be walls like Arcades, especially with Heartstone and Training Grounds stuff to reduce the cost of that Activated Ability.
Why would Realmwalker make a difference in this scenario? Assemble the players is letting you cast that creature off the top of your library without itss creature type making a difference
Well, when I said this BQ would be easier... I didn't mean for it to be THAT easy. I had a different BQ before and changed it to the Realmwalker one and I must have kept the Assemble in the script. My bad. I wish YT still let us add annotations to videos so that I could fix it. Bummer.

That is all okay man, I still enjoyed the first part of the video. That is really cool how this new morph thing works. I didn't know that things use their attributes for when they're on the stack. Casting a land, what a crazy thing.
