The first stage of the Mersin International Cycling Tour has been completed

The Anamur-Gülnar stage of the Mersin International Cycling Tour (Tour of Mersin), organized by Mersin Metropolitan Municipality for the 6th time, has ended.
In the first stage, which was started by Metropolitan Mayor Vahap Seçer from Anamur Anemurium Ancient City, the athletes covered a distance of 103.2 kilometers.
The competition, in which cyclists sweated on challenging tracks in addition to the historical and touristic areas of the city, ended in Yanışlı District of Gülnar district.
At the end of the stage, Eritrean Dawit Yemane took first place, Polish Marcin Budzinski took second place, and Chinese Xianjing Lyu took third place in the general classification.
The winners were also determined in the "climbing", "sprint" and "most successful young athlete" categories on the track.
At the ceremony held in the area where the races ended, the winning athletes were given their awards.
In the organization attended by 171 athletes from 30 countries, the Gülnar-Mersin stage will take place tomorrow.
In the tour, which will end on April 7 at Özgecan Aslan Peace Square in the city center, the winning athletes will be awarded a total of 19 thousand 30 euros.
