I remembered the 3rd song was also sung by the Champion choir Madrigal singers.. But this is more youthful or playful or flexible and higher key because of the kids voices and the quantity of the singers involved even without bamboo or clinging bracelets that the Madrigal singers used during their day. The song is equally haunting..

Kailan kaya matatanggal at matitigil ang pathetic at nakaka embarrass na "Proud to be Pinoy" thing comment ng mga Pinoy. As a Filipibo, I feel so embarrassed everytime i read "Proud to be Pinoy" comment because it sound so pathetic. This "Proud to be Pinoy" comment is giving the impression that Pinoys are so desperate for global validation. It also sounds racist as well. You do not normally read other nationalities state that they are "Proud to be Japanese,Chinese, German, American,Lebanese, etc" , lol. Kaya pwede ba itigil na yang nakakahiyang "Pinoy Pride" comment na yan.

I love the Ethnic/tribal music, dances and songs more than the Filipino folk songs... its just tribal songs existed way before the folk songs and they always tell a mystical story, some with comedy while others in tragedy. they also tell stories about the old gods and heroes...Sad to say they don't get that much get that much recognition outside mindanao unlike those some in visayas and luzon...

Papanok? are these children coming from the T'boli tribe? Are they singing about the chicken or the sarimanok? But "Ilay akan" is a Meranao sentence which means "look at me" or is this phrase being shared by other tribes in Mindanao... Ahhh, I am from Mindanao but the culture in this island is seemingly foreign to me still . Or is it because the island is huge cradling so much culture that what I learned is just a a very small percent of what has been existing? The choir has performed so well.. Congratulations! Thank you, Busan Choral for this video. I am much thankful!!!
