I lost my mom 9 days ago today. 😢 She was 96. Yesterday, Christmas, was the worst one I ever had 😢 this beautiful song along with the Jealous Angel song really helped me to grieve. I was so numb and couldn't cry. And crying is part of grieving. I listened to both of the songs over and over again as the tears flooded my eyes. I cried non stop for two hours 😢😢 I always decorate for Christmas a week before Thanksgiving so my decorations were already up. First Christmas without mom 😢😢 I couldn't eat all day yesterday 😢 So when I got up this morning, I took all the decorations down and put them away. I couldn't look at them. I usually keep them up till after New Years. But I knew if I did, I'd have a repeat of last night. Another first without mom.😢😢 Thank you for reading this. Stay Blessed and have a safe New Years ❤
Feel your pain...lost my mum 6 months ago...so many things i wish I did better, so many regrets, painful like hell, miss her and wish things was different when she was alive. But still, its always difficult to loose a parent..💔

I feel your pain. It’s coming up on one year since I lost my mom. I found out she had cancer three days before she passed away. I was holding her hand when she took her last breath. I can honestly say that I don’t have any regrets. My mom was my rock and I took care if her for the last thirteen and a half years of her life. Christmas this past year was terrible but really got me was she passed on the 26th of March of 2023, her birthday was May 6, and not many days after was Mother’s Day. That was what got to me. I don’t think it has really set in that she’s not coming back, and I hope and pray that when it does register in my mind that she’s gone forever, that nobody is around me because I’m not sure how I’m gonna take it. Prayers for you, for strength to move forward and God bless you and your family. Know that your mom is smiling down upon you and you will be reunited in heaven!

I sang this while I was pregnant both times and now to them that they are here. 18 month girl and 4 week old boy. It made me tear singing it to my belly and so blessed to have them both here and healthy.

I cant help but cry every time I hear this. It gets to me like no other. It makes me want to call my Mom and say Im sorry for everything Ive put her through, and that Im not a better daughter. Im 37 and Ive struggled with addiction off and on for about 20 years. As Im getting older and watching my parents getting older, my heart breaks for the lost time and the pain Ive put them through. They deserve to see me just "be okay". They deserve to live in peace, not fear. Regret doesn't even come close to describing what Im feeling. Im so sorry Mom. Im trying, I promise you Im trying and Im not gonna give up.

I lost my mum in 2013, it's still hard each and every day, but I know she would want me to live my life to the fullest and be sad. Sometimes I feel her touch or smell her body lotion, or even hear her laugh. It doesnt really get better, you just learn how to cope with the empty space left behind. But know that whilst she is always in my thoughts and memories, she is always close by. My love for her still grows stronger every day.

While I try to write these words, tears are flowing down my face. Once again, I find myself staring at this piece of rock that bares the name of the sweetest lady I've ever known, ...... my precious Mama. It was exactly 1 year today that we lost her to cancer. My brother and I were both holding her hands as she took her last breath that night. Mama was so full of Love, Joy, Laughter and Life. Yet, here I am, a year later, struggling to find those things while drowning in my despair. Truthfully, a part of me died with her that night and it has left me broken..... NO, ... left me shattered. I am so lost without her. Yes, I am and always will be a "Mama's Boy." I would not be the man I am today if it hadn't been for God choosing her to be my Mom. This song says it so beautifully but I love where it says, "She'll put you on a path that'll lead you back to me." Well, Mama is at home in Heaven with her precious Lord and Savior Jesus and one day I will see her again because I know that she is waiting for us to come home just like she did all these years!!!

I was crying the whole time that i was listening to this song. I lost our baby 1 year ago today but i know that he/she is up in heaven with God and the Angels. I just hold my 2 year old daughter when I'm down like i am today.

She put me on the Church Bus as a little girl and was always there for me and my 1/2 brother all by herself.
