Mae and her bronco buster, hilarious 😂. But seriously them putting André the Giant in the game was a huge deal, it was basically the first time that they said to themselves "we can add legends to these games to boost the roster", and now these legends are a big part of 2k's games every year.
I assumed that AKI were big fans of Andre, given he was also in both Virtual Pro Wrestling games before this. That said, he was originally meant to be in Smackdown 2 aswell, only to be relegated to CAW parts late in development. He is somewhat out of place but it's still fun to have him - he and Cactus were my go-to for the tag story mode.
Yeah, it took a while for video game designers to see the value of adding old wrestlers to their games. The mindset for a long time was that everyone wants to play as the new guys only.
You must remember, WCW/nWo Revenge allowed you to use Surfer Sting and pre-Big-Poppa-Pump Scott Steiner as alternate attires, so you could also argue that the concept started in that game, before WWF No Mercy.
Fantastic but I think the Back Side Slam also belongs to Vader. Kinda hard to pinpoint who this was made for because a lot of the big guys use it, going back to World Tour/VPW 64.
The fact that they didn’t even bother making Jerry Lawler a separate character slot… he plays so weird in comparison to others in the game because he has a unique moveset that is definitely not reflected by the game. Basically his moveset sucks in the game.

I’ve beat survival mode couple times already but the npc would always manage to eliminate other npc a couple times. The points doesn’t go up when that happens. Its u who has to eliminate the npc.
to unlock Linda McMahon, you need to play The Rock's storyline path for WWF Championship. To play his path, you need to win the Royal Rumble and then LOSE at Wrestlemania 2000. Your last match will be the Backlash 2000 match.
@@JK-ky1ce maybe your save is glitched. I had that same problem like 20 years ago, but mine was always stuck like on chapter 3, and wouldn’t save any progress. To get rid of it, I played through all of championship mode in 1 go, then it let me save again x It’s only like 10 matches. Give that a try, don’t use CAWs.

No matter how old this game gets, the powerbomb they gave Andre is one of the most badass moves I've ever had the pleasure of using.
no mercy had 3 different tiers of s-rated finishers. andre's powerbomb & bradshaw's lariat are the only 2 finishers with the highest rating.

I can’t unlock Linda McMahon anymore because the bar for world heavyweight champ for story mode is 0%. Unless there’s another way to unlock her?
Try and play through the Survival mode, you can unlock the hidden characters if you manage to eleminate them.
