without a patch underneath it, those stitches are going to rip right thru that frayed edge of denim on the first wear. Also this is stretch fabric and that's why it looks so smooth. Regular non-stretch denim would have a pucker.
they used red thread to show that it would be invisible regardless of color. u can use any color thread but i prefer to use the same or similar color to the fabric
Yeah it totally wont work unless you use the exact-right shade of red thread too! I once tried with a sort of mauve thread and my husband ran off with his secretary and a gas line exloded and blew my kitchen clean off the house! Always use "fire engine #416 red" cotton twill thread ONLY.
Stitch-wise it looks great. Just finished, strength-wise.....we'll see if i rip a hole in these things tomorrow at work 😂......might wear some shorts underneath to make sure. Ive gone through 10+ pairs of George black dress/work pants from walmart already. Each and every time it rips smack down the middle of the crotch. nooooo other issues with these pants cuz they fit perfectly. Its just the crotch issue
@sa.29 did it to 3 of my pants, first one was a little weak and came apart after 2nd wash. Other 2 I went in a bit more, held up great. Still pretty tight to this day 👍. I overlap a few times to make sure everything holds together
