Siempre la vida nos da revanchas, No los pude ver el 97, no los pude ver el 2013 x estar cesante, pero ya tengo mi entrada y en 5 dias más, el 07 de Mayo del 2016 me daré el gusto de mi vida y ya me puedo morir tranquilo después de verlos en el Caupolicán.
Tuve la suerte de estar en en este recital de mi grupo de toda la vida....(incluso con Hogarth)....que emoción la sorpresa que comenzara con un tema de la era del inigualable Fish.....
Tuve la oportunidad de ver a Fish en el Caupolican y a Marillion en el Estadio Victor Jara (En ese entonces Estadio Chile)y ambos conciertos satisfacieron mis espectativas a pesar de las diferencias entre Fish y Hogarth (no se pueden comparar) pero si es cierto que ambos dejan el alma sobre el escenario al igual que los músicos que los acompañan (Marillion) y eso es suficiente para poder decir que ambos fueron dos buenisimos conciertos vistos en Santiago...
Mi primer recuerdo de Marillion es cuando en el canal Rock & Pop promocionaban la retransmisión de este concierto y mostraban dos segundos a Steve Hogarth cantando "do you remember?". Después supe que ese tema se llamaba Kayleigh.

1 song from brave.. and its Alone Again in the Lap. They were completely burned out of that album by this tour. On the other hand, they did a sort of best of tour, including the newest opus, and probably their most well structured song, This Strange Engine.

I think it varies alot, specially if it's a concept album like Marbles or Brave, or a "song" album, like TES or Somewhere else, where they can just tour with a more widespread setlist. Actually, your reply made me think of this for the first time, but maybe they did some non-concept albums on purpose just so they wouldn't get stuck with a tour of the same album they spent months working on already, just after they did the same thing for (at least) the last year or two.

Yo creo que Marillion con Fish o Con Steve H. No dejan de ser una banda de culto. Compararlos es una tontería, sería como comparar a Roger Waters con David Gilmour en Pink Floyd. Aguante el Rock del bueno.

el afan de comparar a fish con H ...fish ya fue ...gran cantante ...pero fue ! se le acabo la voz y su enorme ego lo llevo a dejar a la banda ! llego hogarth y estos tipos comenzaron a hacer ARTE ! hogarth deja el corazon y las tripas en el escenario ...con su estilo y su forma de cantar emociona ! ..es un maestro ! y un tipo humilde igual que el resto de la banda,muy apegados a sus fans !

Agreed, Garden Party is the one and only song H should leave well alone, to his credit he does the other Fish classics very well, just not that one for some reason.

hablas de llegar a un nivel... ¿has oído cantar a Fish actualmente? da pena. Las canciones deben bajarse unos 4 tonos y eso inevitablemente altera la composición. (hace falta más que feeling para dedicarse al canto.) Hogarth por más de 3 décadas sigue manteniendo una voz impecable (aunque por mala suerte haya estado disfónico para este concierto) y una constante actualización compositiva para la banda, además de apoyar instrumentalmente. En fin, Hogarth da el ancho para una banda que requiere más profesionalismo que whisky.

(Fish fue perdiendo su voz al poco tiempo de abandonar la banda) No quiero menospreciar a Fish, porque por supuesto su paso por el grupo fue una maestría única. Pero Hogarth es un crack que se reinventa y que ha prosperado junto a la banda.
Fernando lopez garcia Hogarth hace mucho rato que se quedó, triplicando el tiempo que estuvo Fish. Y es un vocalista de profesión. Fish fue un gran letrista y cantaba con mucho feeling (importantísimo ingrediente por supuesto). Pero no tenía técnica y terminó perdiendo la voz. No quiero con esto reducir la genialidad de la era Fish, por el contrario, es excepcional. Pero la reinvención constante de la banda a lo largo de estos ya casi 30 años de la era Hogarth habla por sí sola.
Este show fue posterior al papelón que hicieron en Buenos Aires unos dias antes, tocaron 45 minutos y el cantante no podia mas al segundo tema, todo desafinado, fue un desastre, el público se fue muy disgustado, realmente un fiasco .

ese día Steve estuvo a punto de cancelar su presentación por que estaba terriblemente resfriado. pero subió al escenario y lo dio todo! es un grande y no merece ser comparado con Fish. seguro Fish cantando temas de la nueva era daría pena también.
