Ever wanted to compare apples to oranges... here it is. Solid works is comparable to ---- AutoCAD Inventor ---- not the other software that Autodesk provides for other purposes like architecture. An equivalent review would be to compare solidworks to microsoft excel - you would find that solidworks is a horrible spreadsheet program.
Truth is, Autocad has all the 3d tools Sworks has. And you can design a fighter jet in 3d on Autocad, but it will be more demanding in terms of geometry construction, cause its not parametric, not fully and you wont have a functional assembly. But Autocad is great for beginners to learn 3D.
You should be comparing Inventor to Solidworks... As a business owner or manager, the answer is clear. Solidworks, for one simple reason. There are 20x more people that know how to use it productively. Autodesk can give away Inventor, and it is still a money loser vs Solidworks. Any technical person you hire off the street seems to know Solidworks already.
you're comparing a drafting based software with a design based software.. does it that fair comparison? rather you should tally in between Inventor & SolidWorks ✓
AutoCad sucks, but it has it's place, they need to stop trying to make it look like SolidWorks and go back to the gui they use to have. AutoCad is good for schematics, but simple shit is hard as fuck to do in AutoCAD like printing a 20 page drawing. Once you use SolidWorks you'll never fuck with AutoCad again
I designed a relatively complex (for a beginner that is) machine in AutoCAD. I really enjoy how it works.

I’m a hardcore CAD user daily for years, would love to learn and have a go at solid works
I am confused between SolidWorks and CATIA, can you tell me which one is better from a modelling + analysis point of view

For people looking to do 3D modeling for CNC work, which would be better? AutoCAD or SolidWorks?
И это правильно!!! :)))
@@dete503 1.- MASTERCAM
2.- SOLIDWORKS WITH MASTERCAM.
3.- AUTOCAD.
4.- AP100US AMADA.
That was exquisite great work keep it up, sir I also have many excellent tutorials on Solidworks and CATIA v5 ,
Yes. Indubitably my good chum.
What most Mac users opt for? The majority of such apps are windows only :(
Get bootcamp. It's an inbuilt method to use Windows in your mac
Hahaha I love watching Mac users suffer compatibility issues
nice straight to the point thx
Why is it so expensive

Thanks for the info.

Solidworks is more comparable to be compared to inventor. AutoCAD is a command based software. It’s mostly beneficial for 2-D it’s not Bim.
Is there a possibility of getting lifetime licensing..??
Yes
Thanks for sharing 😃🇨🇴👍
Ok

Same with inventor once you use it you’ll never want to to use auto cad again.
1000% solidworks
