    I miss Sonic, we had a few around my town, but they all closed down during Covid, never to return.
    I used to get their breakfast egg, bacon and cheese bagles a lot.
    Very good, they would pile on the eggs and bacon for about $3. 👍
    They would probably be $5 now tho...I'd still pay it, they was worth it !

    I like to dip my wrap. I love a good Hickory BBQ sauce. The wrap sounds delicious. I would want the burger to have more of a garlic butter flavor and less onion.
    The Oreo Sundae sounds good! Great review Kevin.

    I've never seen or had a Patty Melt with Texas Toast before? They are thin sandwiches.

    Besides the crappy, over-priced food, that's another thing I hated about Sonic. I don't drive, and trying to walk up to order was a major pain in the butt. At least at the locations here. Sonic was on my never again list, but they're all gone here anyway. Thank you Kevin.

      Did they let you? I was turned away when I tried to "walk up". How did you do it? They aren't good enough to be worth the evil. LOL

      @@jbjacobs9514 We walked up to like a screen door and there was a menu board off to the side. This was back in 2014. They were snotty as hell though. After eating the food, we should have just gone to the McDonald's or Culver's across the street.

      @@JohnMC61 LOL You should have! That is what Cookout was like in NC. I had a similar situation here in IL. But that was a very long time ago too for me. It didn't look like the one here or the one I used to go nearby in NC allow for "walk-ups" or at least that is what it appeared to be. Maybe I will see if it changed! I want a drink or shake type thing; their food doesn't look worth the trouble. I would prefer Culver's if that is the case. They are usually nice (at least the one I go to). McD is McD. They could care less if you live or die in my McD. They just like to eat back in the kitchen (illegal) or chatter. Let your food sit IF THEY MAKE IT. Then can't get it correct. Kind of like Taco Bell (except they seem to work hard, just not correct EVER with their food and it is ALWAYS ALWAYS ice cold).

    You know - I did a lot of "crYppy jobs. I behaved the same then as I do at big $. Smiles, kindness to customers (if they are human; if not, I do my best to be polite and I still smile). It doesn't cost anything. What do you get when you are nasty and sullen and pouty and frowny? NOTHING.

    • @user-bd5jw6ec1o
      @user-bd5jw6ec1o Před 3 měsíci +2

      Exactly. Your attitude shouldn't reflect your pay or feelings for the job. Spreading some positivity is free, and from my experience, can be very fulfilling in itself.

      @emilyalsop6543 Před 3 měsíci +1

      Fair, but if you haven't worked customer service in the last five years or so, it can't be compared to lol. Between the pandemic, the political scene and other events, the jobs are more emotionally and mentally taxing then they need to be. Furthermore you have no idea what may be going on in this employees life, and not everyone feels the need to put on a show if they're truly struggling. You cannot assume.

      @jbjacobs9514 Před 3 měsíci +2

      @@user-bd5jw6ec1o You rock! I felt much better being me (nice). The customers responded and often were extra smiley because I treated them well. Of course not everyone, but most. It DOES matter. Take care.

    • @jbjacobs9514
      @jbjacobs9514 Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@emilyalsop6543 A very large part of my job is customer service. I have different "clientele" now, but the premise is the same. That is actually where I "make my bones" tbh. I have a higher paying job, of course, but no matter if I am making $73K or $3.15 per hour (which I did for YEARS), I am and was the same. Plus I did and do that all with serious, chronic medical problems and horrible co-workers, and a lot of people that feel very entitled and do very little and make much more than I do. I do my best to not bring my personal life to work and I try my best to treat everyone as people and with respect. I cannot take medications because of my medical issues, so depression is a real thing. I come from a background too of severe bullying (physical and emotional). I worked through the pandemic, and I was there for the young students when they were struggling to get by in a time they had never experienced before (being without people, social situations). The problem to be honest, is more about the lack of in-person social skills and no accountability. First, everyone is so glued to their phones, even at work. They do not take no for an answer, they question everything, they talk back to people, they refuse to do things that are "beneath" them. I don't ASSUME anything - it is pretty clear that there is a huge difference in behavior and it started BEFORE the pandemic. It started with social media. It is not all on those people but how they were raised and how they were taught (or not) to cope with life and adversity. You either accept things or you don't. You either adapt or you don't. It is, like the book says, survival of the fittest (ask Jack London or Charles Darwin).

      Yes, because she was so sweet. You don't want to be exposed as a POS, then don't act like one. I am not in the habit of filming anyone but get over it. You are seriously messed up and backwards to think it was Kevin that was the wrong one here. Geez. That is why the USA is messed up. You give us a bad name.

      Oh I disagree! I thought Kevin was very diplomatic/gave her the benefit of the doubt and was stating facts in regards to his overall experience at a restaurant, hence the point of the video. As well as he protected the privacy of this worker by being vigilant not to reveal any identifying features, which, if you are familiar with this channel, will know is always the case.
