Also housing companies like Rhine Labs, whose unethical experiments are making contributions to said race, already having created Ifrit and Rosmontis(?) beforehand - Remnant supporters of the Witch King, possessing witchcraft-like arts, capable of using crystal growths on other infected to tear them from inside out or as living conduits for their arts - Theresis' forces on the horizon of Chapter 10 ~ disfigured masses of soldiers, whose parasitic appearance and power is owed to one of the forces of the Kazdel Monarchy Very fun world we're playing in, maybe i've missed some of the threats but these are the ones i know that are still cryptic yet scary

Add the Crimson Troupe plotting the greatest tragedy of human history. The remnant supporters of the Witch King are making their moves in Leithania(is this the correct name?) We first saw them attacking Mudrock's squad before Logos saved them. And Theresis ' forces gathering in Londinum and I think that's it as far as threats to Terra are concerned.
Personally I think Gehrman or Stephen are the most based wheelchair characters but Lemuen is still up there and I would like to get her as an operator.
From all the scene I've seen in this event, Lemuen shooting Andoain's pistol from a signboard **with wheelchair on** is still give me shock (Rapid-fire competition is a honorable mention)

Andoin, the Martyr, in my opinion the best character of the event, to the person reading this, Adoin tells Cecelia an story that gives a bigger meaning to their stories, making her the hero of this city and making he bell moves, before a big catastrophe (maybe a war coming soon for laterano)

Haven't watched the full video but I'm guessing "The Law" is the one that a sankta mustn't shoot a fellow sankta. Outcast has a promise that she wouldn't fire all six shots in her revolver (I think she died because she used too much of her power due to how destructive her power is ending up also dead.) It basically did. Outcast established herself the commandment that she would never fire a 6th shot for Kal'tsit, becoming a rule she had to obey. The moment she broke that commandment, "The Law" punished her severely for it
A bit of theory why they are not allowed to pull the trigger for the sixth bullet. Six.. is kinda similar to the devil numbers. And when the sixth bullet being shot, "The Law" decide to their soul immediately as a punishment for firing the sixth bullet
I'm glad I'm not the only one that got this connection. What they saw under the basilica has to be something so bizarre yet unquestionable to leave andoain so stunned, or else he'd just reject the fate and burn it all down. Good thing he didn't go mad like our friend in LoR did.

@@ORE0655 LOR spoilers . . . . . . . . . . Long story short, there's this organization called the Index, which occasionally gives out 'prescripts' to its followers. These 'prescripts' are orders that the recipient must carry out, they usually range from simple chores to absurdly specific tasks, and somehow things just work out in the end. One of Index's messengers got curious and tried messing with the prescripts but somehow was anticipated, nevertheless the prescripts themselves guided him to where the prescripts were made - the heart of the city. Literally. There was a machine that interprets the rumbles of the city into words which were then made into 'prescripts'. The sheer outlandish nature of it all broke the messenger's mind entirely.
I’m honestly waiting more lore drops about Laterano. The tragedy of former comrades which are Fia, Mostima, Lemuen and Andoain is an important part of character’s backgrounds, and honestly I can’t even hate Andoain here, but I really want to know what will happen when it will be revealed that “The Law” is just a supercomputer. Hope that Hypergryph would finally stop milking these fine polish horses and start pay attention to other countries and factions (Blacksteel copium) as well
The thing is, sometimes it's better to leave some things untold. It just makes for a better story this way. Look at The Law for example - not knowing what it is is what actually makes it interesting. Like, yeah, we could say it's a supercomputer, a literal god or some other entity, but that would take away the magic of it. Also, why Andoain wanted the Lock and Key? Was it greed? Jealousy? Or he saw a higher purpose in it? Whatever it was, we know for certain that the 2 other Sankta knew what was up. Maybe they undrestood, but even then they couldn't let him take it. Like I said, a bit of mystery makes for a better story.
Ramblings of a Madman So if i understood that right the main implication from the Event is that the Sankta are "artifical" aka to be specific their Halos & Wings/their special powers with Guns. On top of that the twist is that Sankta before the "Origin" are Sarkaz who came into contact with the "Origin". So let me break this down. Sarkaz & Sankta relationship. Typcial Angel & Demon/Daemon trope. If we take the "history" at face value Sankta & Sakarz hate each other/fought each other in the past for a unknown reason to extreme extentd where killing Sarkaz became a "normal thing" for Sankta as is breathing. Current day they still do kill them & they arent allowed to be in Laterno at all from what i understood. I am not sure if the history is true or fabricated by the Pope/first Saint in order to hide the truth about the Origin(Machine) that was probably found in Sarkaz lands. Or there was a major conflict because of the Origin(Machine) that ended up with one side of the Sarkaz winning. Either way the biggest clue i think why Sarkaz are Sankta and vice versa are 2 key details: 1: Its said that Sankta can only have Sankta children with another Sankta(same race). Apparently its proven that none of the other animal people can create another Sankta child. However Cecillia is a half Sarkaz-Sankta. And we have the whole deal/conflict going on between Sankta & Sarkaz ergo. Probably one of the reason why Sarkaz arent allowed in Laterno is because Sarkaz can have Sankta children with a Sankta partner. This ties into why i think Sankta are transformed Sarkaz because of the whole "same species thing". Aka ask yourself why are Sarkaz suddenly a expection if every other combination doesnt produce a Sankta baby/Halo & Wings. 2:Fallen Sankta/Fallen Angels who break the "Law"(Almost as if the inspiration are the 3 Robotic Laws) grow horns...........like Sarkaz have. Aka almost as if the powers/authority granted to them is taken back by the Origin(Machine) thus partially reverting their transformation. The reason i think the Origin is a Machine as FrostByte already pointed out in the video is because once the Pope & Andoain went even deeper than the first Saints tomb suddenly the backround music changed and you hear the surrrrrrrr sound of a machine. Plus they also mentioned that the Tower where Cecillia sang is older than Laterno itself so maybe that building is somehow connected to the Machine? Plus Andoain describtion of what his eyes see cant even explain/fathom maybe implies sci-fi tech? I am not sure what the significance of the Saints Tower was along Cecillia. Maybe it has to do with Cecillias "special" empathy due her being half Sankta/Sarkaz thus it can shake/remind Sankta about their ancestors/Sarkaz heritage. Tho does that mean the First Saint also was like Cecillia? The first half-half because it was back then when the first generation of Sarkaz transformed into Sankta? No idear about that detail to be honest. I only realized that this whole Sarkaz & Sankta connection thing could be true after we got loads of exposition about them & then the Pope started to talk about "Sankta & the Law" after Andoain asked: "What are Sankta". Sankta always stood out among the rest of Terras various animal people. So the Halo & Wings being artifical tech/sci-fi things makes a lot of sense in hindsight. Tho as always take it with spoons of salt as this is all mad rambling from a madman. Cheers o/
The chinese have a pretty popular theory that the first saint and a bunch of like minded Sarkaz were trying to resist the demon king of the era and fled to whats now modern Laterano where they discovered the bell tower and the LAW which transformed them into Sankta and gave them this new way of life along with there hatred for the Sarkaz still serving the demon kings.

The event clearly said that Sankta can mate with other race, but their child wont be Sankta (Sankta x Libeti => Liberti child, Sankta x Feline => Feline child, etc...). For the child to be Sankta both parents need to be Sankta as well. This is the commonsense of Laterano. And as you can see Cecilia is the abnormal of this law (together with Mostima, but we're not sure for now)

When pope and andoain shot each other, none turned into sankta. Ezell and federico also has this 'privilage' as notarial hall executor, shown during their tag team fight with oren. When federico show up and explicitly said ezell off-day temporary revoked and must help him to caught oren, we get CG ezell pointed his shotgun while before federico appear, from the text ezell seems didnt use his weps

I'm relatively new to the game, and seeing so many characters mentioned I didn't know if they were going to be explained later, or you are supposed to know from past events Still I loved the story, arknights has probably the best stories for events of all gacha games
I liked everything about this event. I hope Andoain becomes a playable character in the future, it took about two years for Fia to be one, so there's always a chance right?(copium)
For that to happen we will need to see how to get Fia to quell her vendetta against him, because the Lord knows she's hellbent in killing the shit out of him for his betrayal and transgression
I mean even W and Mudrock, who were bosses also managed to be playable. So unless the guy managed be killed off in the future (I hope not), there is always hope.
I just realized and happy that you use CSS SG552 firing sound when you described Mostima shooting Andoain. SG552 is a Swiss made rifle and concidentally, Laterano's outskirts are based from Switzerland so it is kinda fit.
I didn't expect to love this story; the urge I got to build Enforcer over pulling Fiametta was something I also did not expect 😂 Also did not expect to root for Andoain so much. I hated dealing with the guy but damn I wish we'd see more of him.

There is a little bit of trivia that can be adressed as well, that normally, any childrens that are born from a Sankta and other races will not produce another Sankta. For example if a Feline married a Sankta, their children will always be Feline. So the fact that even if a Sarkaz married a Sankta like Cecelia's parent does, it should not produce a Sankta, which is why The pope, Mostima and the Cardinal is extremely surprised that Cecilia is a very rare breed. Laterano is somehow gives me that eerie vibe from psycho-pass, that they're kinda united under one same mindset, and if what some ppl said in the Rhine lab event are correct (the one with Astesia's sister cmiiw), they are also under supervision of a giant supercomputer, which explain their hivemind.
reading other comments and watching this after finishing the event it's kind of wild but it seems to me like the sankta are loosely similar to what the ideal AI would be even following "the law" similar to the 3 laws of robotics, the whole halos they have and how they fall could just be them being on the same literal wavelength/network and having access or being denied based on their actions, the whole machinery thing underneath laterano also falls in line with the theme. arknights technology is super sci-fi so it wouldn't be super unbelievable that AI's somehow got organic bodies somewhere along the line
This was a hell of great story I've never known racism could be rational but Arknights managed to pull it off very well yet I'm dissatisfied with Mostima and fiammeta influence on story I think you could have erase her from story and nothing would change that much and fiammeta almost failed to make any important impact on story I mean let's review she failed to bring back Cecilia both time and failed to take revenge from Andonian the best she has done was to disrupt a poor soul funeral. Well at least I expected her to have more of spotlight since it's her banner but she didn't get that much. Mostima and fiammeta shippers can have my condolence too
I guess they were more akin to secondaries to Enforcer's story. With slightly more influence in it. At the end of the day. I mean, Fia's revenge is definitely not the main plot. Having her around did actually save Andoain in a strange way. Not sure if he could've avoided the encounter with Yvangelista, but Andoain actual in fact went fucking crazy over what he learnt. Like get this man a medic kind of crazy.
To be honest, even if Fia and Mostima choose to wait until the funeral is over, the fight between the Pathfinders and Ezell would happen anyway and those two would intervene the accident so it's kinda bound to happen. Perhaps the fate is telling Fia the day hasn't come yet, aside that I believe her role in this story is still heavily mattered as sometimes we forgot how "empathy" works (even though in this one is with some kind of sixth sense-way to feeling it than having similar personal experience to one another to make it work) so I can see her as a bridge between the actual citizen of Laterano and normies like us Doktah. And the Lock and Key are fkin' haunted. Then the man got to witness the actual source of The Law. No wonder Andoain can't stay sane and decide things for good..... and how the hell do Mostima deal with it? I can see the 2nd around of event with her and Fiammetta being a focus again! pleasenomorelighttosufferers
Fia/Mosti were seriously the side characters here. In actuality, our welfare boy Enforcer was the main character. Almost felt like their inclusion was done out of obligation to fill in their team's lore
I kinda like Fia's story more than this event's main plot. She is the most relatable charater for me and have personal goal compared to other people. Well we can expect next Laterano story would be about Mostima's rock and key so I will just waiting for that.
Fia was mostly there to cause friction in the story, since almost nobody else wanted to start fights. It’s fitting for her character, especially in contrast with the Sankta

if you discern much of the dialogue about the Revelations you will have an idea, an hypothesis call it that, the Sankta MAY actually came from Sarkaz not the otherwise, a Sankta is a "fallen" Sarkaz. pretty crazy and Cecelia is definitely not the first antichrist, the Rubik god created or allows them to exist in every time which it deemed exciting or pivotal perhaps.
@@user-pr4cu9tb3b well "fallen" is just a trick word there but subraces? that's actually even way harder to believe since they are too opposite, not to mention all the genetics differences. the first Saint most likely made contact and contract with the Rubik to change them as a species, and only by it's power it can revert back partially as a "fallen"
Hmmm.... I think we will get a part 2 of this story since Andoain escaped Fia's grasps. And speaking of, I think "The Law" and Arturia (her artwork makes me believe she'll be an operator someday) are connected in a way. I also think that in the next Laterano-focused story, Cecelia will be an adult now (and possibly an operator) and Andoain will be back (also possibly an operator)
I was surprised just how much this event made me cry. Cecelia's lines about her mother are just so well written, I couldn't help but tear up. Still, really interested to see where the plot goes for the next Laterano event!

I wonder if Laterano event 2 will be about Arturia (and Federico). I definitely would like to know more about her. As for Guide(ing) Ahead, I play the game for it and Enforcer, so it goes without saying that I love it, even though it's not perfect. But contrary to popular belief...I actually think that Fia and Andoain's subplot is relevant to the story, and that I actually can empathise with Fia and what she's been through. I also can see why Ezell is a welfare 5* instead of him being the 6* (even welfare) although he is the focus of the story; it fits his lore and the event story more, as a recently-graduated trainee executor. That is to say, though, I hope we get a 6* Ezell Alter someday (copium). Maybe a Heavyshooter/Besieger 6*? As far as I know, we haven't got a 6* Heavyshooter Sankta operator yet. Here's also to hoping that Andoain (and Arturia pls) will become playable in the future! (Maybe even the Pope) (just kidding) thank you for the amazing video. Love the ending this time, too.

Difference is Andoain didn't decide to destroy the world for more power. Instead he just had an epiphany and realized wandering the land for the journey was his thing

Make Andoain playable he's so cool. He's one of the very few Arknights villain that I genuinely like. He's not even a villain story-wise, only in gameplay.

Andoin, the Martyr, in my opinion the best character of the event, to the person reading this, Adoin tells Cecelia an story that gives a bigger meaning to their stories, making her the hero of this city and making he bell moves, before a big catastrophe (maybe a war coming soon for laterano)

Haven't watched the full video but I'm guessing "The Law" is the one that a sankta mustn't shoot a fellow sankta.
Outcast has a promise that she wouldn't fire all six shots in her revolver (I think she died because she used too much of her power due to how destructive her power is ending up also dead.)

It basically did. Outcast established herself the commandment that she would never fire a 6th shot for Kal'tsit, becoming a rule she had to obey.
The moment she broke that commandment, "The Law" punished her severely for it

Long story short, there's this organization called the Index, which occasionally gives out 'prescripts' to its followers. These 'prescripts' are orders that the recipient must carry out, they usually range from simple chores to absurdly specific tasks, and somehow things just work out in the end. One of Index's messengers got curious and tried messing with the prescripts but somehow was anticipated, nevertheless the prescripts themselves guided him to where the prescripts were made - the heart of the city. Literally. There was a machine that interprets the rumbles of the city into words which were then made into 'prescripts'. The sheer outlandish nature of it all broke the messenger's mind entirely.

The prescripts are basically big data analysis results though. The Law here is more similar to the Judgments from Sunless Sea/Skies.
I’m honestly waiting more lore drops about Laterano. The tragedy of former comrades which are Fia, Mostima, Lemuen and Andoain is an important part of character’s backgrounds, and honestly I can’t even hate Andoain here, but I really want to know what will happen when it will be revealed that “The Law” is just a supercomputer. Hope that Hypergryph would finally stop milking these fine polish horses and start pay attention to other countries and factions (Blacksteel copium) as well
The thing is, sometimes it's better to leave some things untold. It just makes for a better story this way. Look at The Law for example - not knowing what it is is what actually makes it interesting. Like, yeah, we could say it's a supercomputer, a literal god or some other entity, but that would take away the magic of it. Also, why Andoain wanted the Lock and Key? Was it greed? Jealousy? Or he saw a higher purpose in it? Whatever it was, we know for certain that the 2 other Sankta knew what was up. Maybe they undrestood, but even then they couldn't let him take it. Like I said, a bit of mystery makes for a better story.

So if i understood that right the main implication from the Event is that the Sankta are "artifical" aka to be specific their Halos & Wings/their special powers with Guns. On top of that the twist is that Sankta before the "Origin" are Sarkaz who came into contact with the "Origin".
So let me break this down.
Sarkaz & Sankta relationship. Typcial Angel & Demon/Daemon trope. If we take the "history" at face value Sankta & Sakarz hate each other/fought each other in the past for a unknown reason to extreme extentd where killing Sarkaz became a "normal thing" for Sankta as is breathing. Current day they still do kill them & they arent allowed to be in Laterno at all from what i understood.
I am not sure if the history is true or fabricated by the Pope/first Saint in order to hide the truth about the Origin(Machine) that was probably found in Sarkaz lands. Or there was a major conflict because of the Origin(Machine) that ended up with one side of the Sarkaz winning.
Either way the biggest clue i think why Sarkaz are Sankta and vice versa are 2 key details:
1: Its said that Sankta can only have Sankta children with another Sankta(same race). Apparently its proven that none of the other animal people can create another Sankta child. However Cecillia is a half Sarkaz-Sankta. And we have the whole deal/conflict going on between Sankta & Sarkaz ergo. Probably one of the reason why Sarkaz arent allowed in Laterno is because Sarkaz can have Sankta children with a Sankta partner. This ties into why i think Sankta are transformed Sarkaz because of the whole "same species thing". Aka ask yourself why are Sarkaz suddenly a expection if every other combination doesnt produce a Sankta baby/Halo & Wings.
2:Fallen Sankta/Fallen Angels who break the "Law"(Almost as if the inspiration are the 3 Robotic Laws) grow horns...........like Sarkaz have. Aka almost as if the powers/authority granted to them is taken back by the Origin(Machine) thus partially reverting their transformation.
The reason i think the Origin is a Machine as FrostByte already pointed out in the video is because once the Pope & Andoain went even deeper than the first Saints tomb suddenly the backround music changed and you hear the surrrrrrrr sound of a machine. Plus they also mentioned that the Tower where Cecillia sang is older than Laterno itself so maybe that building is somehow connected to the Machine? Plus Andoain describtion of what his eyes see cant even explain/fathom maybe implies sci-fi tech?
I am not sure what the significance of the Saints Tower was along Cecillia. Maybe it has to do with Cecillias "special" empathy due her being half Sankta/Sarkaz thus it can shake/remind Sankta about their ancestors/Sarkaz heritage. Tho does that mean the First Saint also was like Cecillia? The first half-half because it was back then when the first generation of Sarkaz transformed into Sankta?
No idear about that detail to be honest.
I only realized that this whole Sarkaz & Sankta connection thing could be true after we got loads of exposition about them & then the Pope started to talk about "Sankta & the Law" after Andoain asked: "What are Sankta".
Sankta always stood out among the rest of Terras various animal people. So the Halo & Wings being artifical tech/sci-fi things makes a lot of sense in hindsight.
Tho as always take it with spoons of salt as this is all mad rambling from a madman.

The chinese have a pretty popular theory that the first saint and a bunch of like minded Sarkaz were trying to resist the demon king of the era and fled to whats now modern Laterano where they discovered the bell tower and the LAW which transformed them into Sankta and gave them this new way of life along with there hatred for the Sarkaz still serving the demon kings.

Not really. The event clearly said that Sankta can mate with other race, but their child wont be Sankta (Sankta x Libeti => Liberti child, Sankta x Feline => Feline child, etc...). For the child to be Sankta both parents need to be Sankta as well. This is the commonsense of Laterano. And as you can see Cecilia is the abnormal of this law (together with Mostima, but we're not sure for now)

When pope and andoain shot each other, none turned into sankta. Ezell and federico also has this 'privilage' as notarial hall executor, shown during their tag team fight with oren. When federico show up and explicitly said ezell off-day temporary revoked and must help him to caught oren, we get CG ezell pointed his shotgun while before federico appear, from the text ezell seems didnt use his weps

I just realized and happy that you use CSS SG552 firing sound when you described Mostima shooting Andoain. SG552 is a Swiss made rifle and concidentally, Laterano's outskirts are based from Switzerland so it is kinda fit.
I didn't expect to love this story; the urge I got to build Enforcer over pulling Fiametta was something I also did not expect 😂

There is a little bit of trivia that can be adressed as well, that normally, any childrens that are born from a Sankta and other races will not produce another Sankta. For example if a Feline married a Sankta, their children will always be Feline.
So the fact that even if a Sarkaz married a Sankta like Cecelia's parent does, it should not produce a Sankta, which is why The pope, Mostima and the Cardinal is extremely surprised that Cecilia is a very rare breed.
Laterano is somehow gives me that eerie vibe from psycho-pass, that they're kinda united under one same mindset, and if what some ppl said in the Rhine lab event are correct (the one with Astesia's sister cmiiw), they are also under supervision of a giant supercomputer, which explain their hivemind.

reading other comments and watching this after finishing the event it's kind of wild but it seems to me like the sankta are loosely similar to what the ideal AI would be even following "the law" similar to the 3 laws of robotics, the whole halos they have and how they fall could just be them being on the same literal wavelength/network and having access or being denied based on their actions, the whole machinery thing underneath laterano also falls in line with the theme. arknights technology is super sci-fi so it wouldn't be super unbelievable that AI's somehow got organic bodies somewhere along the line

This was a hell of great story I've never known racism could be rational but Arknights managed to pull it off very well yet I'm dissatisfied with Mostima and fiammeta influence on story I think you could have erase her from story and nothing would change that much and fiammeta almost failed to make any important impact on story I mean let's review she failed to bring back Cecilia both time and failed to take revenge from Andonian the best she has done was to disrupt a poor soul funeral. Well at least I expected her to have more of spotlight since it's her banner but she didn't get that much. Mostima and fiammeta shippers can have my condolence too
I guess they were more akin to secondaries to Enforcer's story. With slightly more influence in it. At the end of the day. I mean, Fia's revenge is definitely not the main plot. Having her around did actually save Andoain in a strange way. Not sure if he could've avoided the encounter with Yvangelista, but Andoain actual in fact went fucking crazy over what he learnt. Like get this man a medic kind of crazy.
To be honest, even if Fia and Mostima choose to wait until the funeral is over, the fight between the Pathfinders and Ezell would happen anyway and those two would intervene the accident so it's kinda bound to happen.
Perhaps the fate is telling Fia the day hasn't come yet, aside that I believe her role in this story is still heavily mattered as sometimes we forgot how "empathy" works (even though in this one is with some kind of sixth sense-way to feeling it than having similar personal experience to one another to make it work) so I can see her as a bridge between the actual citizen of Laterano and normies like us Doktah.
And the Lock and Key are fkin' haunted. Then the man got to witness the actual source of The Law. No wonder Andoain can't stay sane and decide things for good..... and how the hell do Mostima deal with it? I can see the 2nd around of event with her and Fiammetta being a focus again! pleasenomorelighttosufferers
Fia/Mosti were seriously the side characters here. In actuality, our welfare boy Enforcer was the main character. Almost felt like their inclusion was done out of obligation to fill in their team's lore
I kinda like Fia's story more than this event's main plot. She is the most relatable charater for me and have personal goal compared to other people. Well we can expect next Laterano story would be about Mostima's rock and key so I will just waiting for that.
Fia was mostly there to cause friction in the story, since almost nobody else wanted to start fights.

And speaking of, I think "The Law" and Arturia (her artwork makes me believe she'll be an operator someday) are connected in a way. I also think that in the next Laterano-focused story, Cecelia will be an adult now (and possibly an operator) and Andoain will be back (also possibly an operator)

I wonder if Laterano event 2 will be about Arturia (and Federico). I definitely would like to know more about her. As for Guide(ing) Ahead, I play the game for it and Enforcer, so it goes without saying that I love it, even though it's not perfect. But contrary to popular belief...I actually think that Fia and Andoain's subplot is relevant to the story, and that I actually can empathise with Fia and what she's been through. I also can see why Ezell is a welfare 5* instead of him being the 6* (even welfare) although he is the focus of the story; it fits his lore and the event story more, as a recently-graduated trainee executor.
That is to say, though, I hope we get a 6* Ezell Alter someday (copium). Maybe a Heavyshooter/Besieger 6*? As far as I know, we haven't got a 6* Heavyshooter Sankta operator yet. Here's also to hoping that Andoain (and Arturia pls) will become playable in the future! (Maybe even the Pope) (just kidding) thank you for the amazing video. Love the ending this time, too.
