British Brass Band Dream Horn: The Getzen 3850 Custom Series Cornet! - ACB Show & Tell

[Link in description] Wow what a horn! We've been really impressed by the Getzen Eterna Deluxe cornets, but this Custom Series 3850 is a different beast altogether. It's completely optimized for British brass band playing. This is a pre-owned horn that looks basically brand new (including the case), and it even has that wonderful "new Getzen" smell. This is Getzen's top-of-the-line Bb cornet, and it's a work of art. The sound is incredibly rich and smooth!
The Getzen 3850 is a large bore, British brass band style cornet. It has great efficiency with a B cup mouthpiece, and even with a deep cup it's very easy to navigate throughout the range of the instrument. The sound is nice and even throughout the registers.
The copper bell is beautiful! It also has a two-piece valve block (Getzen makes some of the best valves on the market), dual trigger setup, and amado water keys.

I purchased 1, thinking I was going to look into joining a brass band. I had never owned a cornet, but had played a few Getzen Eternas over the years, so When I saw this beauty I knew it was the one. No disappointments. The .462 L bore was very open blowing and the playing experience = fabulous.
