Meghan, I wanted give a little thanks to you. My 18 yr old just went through their first heartbreak. I played them the part of your book where you talk about how some people can be perfect but not always right for you. How your feelings are valid because you felt them. That the worst pain you feel at 12 is the worst pain you have felt in your entire life. At the end of that whole section they got up and told me thank you, they needed to hear that. 😢😢 so Thank you!

After the day I had I just wanna say: to anyone who's ever been a victim of bullying / hate / violence because of their appearance, gender, orientation, race : DO NOT ever let a hateful notion 'there's something wrong with me' sink in. Trust me, it's a recipe for self hatred and compulsive anxieties later on. When we suffer and we need a break, it's only natural to think: maybe if I wasn't 'different', if I was 'normal' I would be accepted. No, haters will always find something else to prey upon. I've always had androgynous look, which was a real fuel for bullies when I was growing up. I embraced it, used it to my advantage in my acting / modeling career, I was almost the face of Leon in these new Resident Evil games :)
I had a classic wedding, and I don't regret it, but I love the idea of an intimate you & your partner type thing! I think it really centers the couple, which is the point.

I had the same attitude towards a wedding when I first got engaged. We knew we didn’t want a big traditional wedding. I would have been happy to elope alone but I love my in laws and knew how important it was for them to celebrate with us.
After a year and a half of being engaged with NO plans, we chose a date and planned our wedding in 6 weeks. I spent the morning with my best friend, we had a courthouse ceremony and an intimate cocktail hour (18 people) at a beautiful boutique hotel (a 1850s Italianate style mansion that was restored with respect to the original architecture). We ended the night going to our favorite pizza restaurant for dinner (very fitting because my husband is a New Yorker). It was perfect and was able to check off all the boxes- we had the most important people present, I still felt like a bride, we have beautiful photos to look back on, and it helped make our courthouse ceremony feel really special.
TLDR - Buy the dress, book a photographer, romanticize your courthouse wedding.

If animals are digging at your plants you can sprinkle a little chilli powder or pepper around the soil. Usually that stops it but some creatures do seem to like the heat!

One ADHD "hack" that I employ every once in a while (but doesn't work all the time) is I use a spinny wheel app & put tasks on the sections of the wheel, so I don't have to use executive function to decide what to do--spinning the wheel does it for me.

@@rebbyday I’m not 100% opposed… I just know that I’m okay being childless. I don’t think I’d personally do IVF, IUI, or a surrogate pregnancy. If I try to get pregnant and I can, great. If I can’t, then I’m okay with that too. I don’t have a burning motherly flame in me. Having kids (biological or not) is absolutely terrifying and one of the hardest things you do in life.
I also might change my mind in the future when I get older and am more ready for children. I always that that it would be mentally/emotionally irresponsible for me to have a child right now. I can barely take care of my self. Left alone another human that 100% relies on you
I'm just really not cool with the adoption industry. I would rather put my time/money into programs that help bio parents and bio kids stay together. yes, there are few instances that reunification or familial placement is not safe - but again, the "business" of adoption and the adoption industry does not align with my value system whatsoever. @@rebbyday
