We’ve all been there in our childhood when our favorite series gets canceled first DW with Mary Moo Cow in Arthur, and Lionel with Cliffhanger here in Between The Lions.
Cookie Monster is understable, as Between the Lions involved cast members and puppeteers who used to work on Sesame Street. Theo's pupeteer, Peter Linz, had a history with the Muppets and Sesame Street, and today, he is still on Sesame Street, performing Harry Monster and Ernie.
TBH, it was understandable, as Cliff was starting to get tired of the peaceful island and wanted to go back to the cliff where he felt at home. It's like that one Animaniacs cartoon where the Warners meet that celebrity that kept talking to them, even to the point where he stayed the night with them, and when he got done and left, the Warners were at peace, but then, chased after him, wanting to know more about his stories.
I swear I could hear every breath the singer took during the theme song. That shouldn't be the case, right? Also no Lionel, a dumbass hanging off a cliff for dear life isn't COOL.
Funnily enough I actually liked these shorts. Even though I felt Lionel really laid it on thick with how much he insisted they were amazing. Today, I just think Lionel has bad taste in books. Plus, those freaking singers, dude. Possibly the most annoying characters on the show who's names weren't Scot and Dot.
