Oh wow, I said to you on insta that I thought I’d be in the minority because I didn’t dig it, but it seems looking through the comments that I’m not. I love the cover and I’m still in for the short run, so hopefully they get better. Great vid Dope! 👍
It's too bad that they went down the road that many modern comics are going. I will pass on that. I do buy all of the EC Archives collections that Darkhorse has been releasing (along with the collections of Creepy and Eerie). I will just stick with those. Modern comics are not for me.
Same. I haven't bought any modern comics for about a decade. Became unreadable to me. But this year I've picked up Gargoyles which was good along with Creepshow and these new EC comics. Sadly Creepshow and the new EC suffer from the same problem most modern western comics do.
First time watch and I agree with EVERYTHING you said. I was so hyped for this comic and was totally underwhelmed. The overt political crap was so irritating. I don't care what side you're on... keep politics out of my comics. I read them to escape that crap. Your video was very entertaining. Thanks, man.

I agree with you Dope. Keep politics out of comics that's our Escape from this crazy world. At least it has some dope covers. Wish it would have left a better taste in my mouth that's the first comic I picked up in a while. Have a dope day👊🏼
Dope my man, unfortunately I have to agree with those two political stories, I was not happy and the art on the last story sucked compared to the kool cover, I did enjoy the first confusing story and the Stephanie Phillips story, I pray that they don't fuck up book 2 or the Sience Fantasy book, keep crackalating brother 👍

Everything, freaking everything, is politics now. You can't enjoy anything without getting preached too. Movies, tv shows, music, video games, and comics. It's hard for me to get into anything because of it.
Disappointing to hear - big fan of pre-code horror and was hoping for a return to form. Maybe this is just the first issue jitters and the rest will improve
Even putting the dumb political stuff aside, the writing was weak and schlocky. Such a letdown and being this devoid of quality and creativity, it is a travesty to put the E.C. name on this. I will give it one more issue to try and redeem itself before I drop it.
Thanks for the heads up. I'll be giving this a pass. The political 'education' is not welcome. Someone needs to remind themselves people that EC stands for Entertaining Comics, not Educational Comics.

simply because of the politics alone I won't spend one more dime on these comics. the propaganda....its overdone, boring and more in line with corporate American than counterculture. Basically they aren't as virtuous as they think they are.
