I got a recommendation, for spectating, why don’t you sit in the net since the ball cannot go past where your going to be so you don’t Inter fear with the game and also just get to spectate?

i do recomend, since ur still in the game, maybe you can sit in the goal instead of in the middle, because sometimes people like it to roll up and center that way, i do think its funny though

You could have another caster with you, that way there will be more obstacles in the field but the kickoff is more fair

After seeing this it does seem that it is up to personal preference will be interesting if you can do this again in a year and see if there is a bigger gap 😊
But as long as you put a touch and controller player of every rank against each other. There will be no difference, since, they are the same rank! And that’s the only thing that represents skill. So if you make matches based on that, of course there is no difference!
What can make controllers better is that they take less time to get better at car control, can be more precise, can learn new mechanics faster, …
@@ison002 exactly i thought it was fairly obvious this doesn't prove a thing about what input method is better. I would personaly like to see the number and percentage of each type of player in each rank. But even then it wouldn't be massively accurate.
striped, the issue with this video is the fact that the players are the same rank, so you're just getting players that are the same. the issue is how much easier it is to achieve high ranks with controller. the extra controls it gives and faster response with more consistency is why it helps.

yeah, and that its cheating out all the other players that either dont have money for a controller. dont go through the pain to get a controller, link it to your phone, then find some awkward way of playing controller on phone, or buying a holder for your phone. like cmon just play normal rl if you want to use a controller.

1:remove controller, no one cares what you say Karen just get used to using a fucking phone for a phone game.
2: make separate servers for controller and touchscreen. probably wont happen cause we know how shit psyonix is with servers.
3:force controller players to have horrible server issues cause if they gon' cheat they can deal with psyonix' s shitty servers to the extreme.

I know. Because of striped being on the own side of the team, it's harder to goal for the team and easier to goal for the opponent.

@@Striped Yeah the difference on GC level (getting resets much easier with controller) was definitely interesting to see :D
Disagree. Because a controller player on Sideswipe at Diamond 1, wouldn't actually even be that rank without using the controller, since it takes far less skill. Therefore touch players at D1 are better than controller players at D1, even though they're in the same rank.

I think the main advantage controller has is stall resets. I think everyone agrees it is much easier on controller. The thing is though this doesn’t necessarily translate into a big advantage, it only really becomes noticeable in super high champ/GC - even in these games though it didn’t seem like any stall resets played a big part in it.
I am a touch player and recently swapped to playing 2 fingers + thumb (instead of 2 thumbs) and this has massively improved my game. I’m getting pretty good at stall resets now and I think touch players can be on par even at stall resets, it just isn’t as easy to pick up and will require way more muscle memory. Will be interesting to see where it is in a year or so.

I agree. Im a plat (touch) and I learned purple/gold shots very easily, but I still haven’t tried learning stall resets because of the difficulty (and I don’t think it’s necessary at my rank)
@@davidwasicek9869 You use your left thumb for the joystick, and on the right side, you use your index finger for the jump button and your middle finger for the boost button.
@@msaocer then there's me who was hard stuck silver in S1 on touch but still could do stall reset sometimes even in match. Yeah learning those golds seemed like a real challenge lol

From the first moment you put your thumbs in front of the screen you already have a disadvantage, it also depends a lot on which cell phone you have. Those who play with a controller have an advantage, plus almost all the top players are controller players.

Touch players need a button to flip car upside down. This would help so much with flip resets and stalling. I've lost numerous games because you have to double tap and when I want to flip car twice to the other side it messes it up and doesnt register it correctly. WE NEED THIS BUTTON!
Edit: also they should add the button or at least an option, to be able to add a button to air roll instead of double tap the joystick. Having all the necessary buttons and the option to add them would be necessary to make the playing field more even.

When you’re spectating these games, you need to:
1- Restart the match until the two people that are playing are in the same kickoff spots, and
2- immediately drive back into the net.
You’re making an uneven playing field with how you’re currently doing it.

It’s probably controller because pretty much every gc plays with 1, a part of reason why I think controller on mobile game is kinda stupid but whatever great vid tho and keep up the great work

I agree. For games like Fortnite, it made sense since you was playing with all consoles, but games like cod mobile and side swipe, I have always asked, why play a mobile game, but treat it like a console game. Defeats the purpose of it being for mobile

Considering most console games allow keyboard and mouse ,which are so much easier once you get used to it, it doesn't rally matter the prefrence but being a phone app, using a controller on it really defeats the purpose of it being a phone app. Using a controller makes it more of an xbox indie game than a phone app. Haven't played the app game btw.

Theres been phone/tablet games that ONLY take controller input for a while now, It's an intended control input and in no way defeats the purpose of being a mobile game. I honestly dont even get why it's a big convo, yet everyone is ignoring people emulating the game to play on pc which is something that wasnt actually intended and I feel like should be talked about more

This proves that for the most part it is just preferable which one you like better. I never hated either because I’ve switch between both and get the same amount of wins and losses. I like the feel of controller better but I do like hitting purple and gold shots better on touch. I say they are the same it’s just what you like.

I was waiting for a similar comment, like touch screen is like the way it is designed so using a controller is not that "oh touch players are better" it's "bruh why are you sweating using a controller in a mobile game" where its not very fair not made for controller. If you're the same rank if both using touch then the controller plug in will give you an advantage and you will therefore become higher ranked/better player so like this vid doesn't prove anything about what's better as they're the same rank ie it's probs a bronze vs gold if both on touch but becomes gold vs gold if bronze is using controller, secondly like you are putting words in people's mouths like if you put two people against each other that are the same rank in touch but one uses a controller well and then that player for the challenge uses a controller then it would be probably shown controller is superior and then I would say fair enough (the whole point of this comment is like compare if using controller => higher rank in general ie sample the population of all touch players (normal population/general population) see average rank then intervene by making them use controller and see if after a certain time period they have a higher rank in general)
@@adixxx3056 The very purpose for sideswipe's existence was for mobile players. They weren't able to play Rocket league. To take their version of rocket league away by using controllers is nothing different from using an emulator in PUBG mobile. Any emulator player is a menace to the gaming community. If you're gonna play with console, do it in the actual Rocket League. Who's gonna play a mobile game with a controller?! Just shameful.
