Imodium is a must, even if I’m only going a few hours away. But, you want it to pass through your body, at the same time. I’m just glad you got better.

I had the exact same thing last month in Costa Rica and was given the same stuff, the probiotics were weird eh I had never seen those either. I was shivering and shaking and my teeth were going like how you mentioned. It was horrible!

Food poisoning for sure. I froze and sweated my ass off at the same time. I couldn't move without throwing up and I mean even moving my arm would make me throw up

Always have some essential meds with you and for this case some loperamide (Diatabs and Imodium are good brands). And also some oral rehydration salts. But you can also get some Gatorade anywhere. Coconut water can help with electrolytes too. Just don’t overdo it. If you see Yakult (they’re in most supermarkets and convenience stores), drink them from time to time (we have them everyday or every other day) to promote healthy gut bacteria.
Try to avoid tap water esp from small restos that don’t use or have mineral/filter/purified water.
Sorry for that experience. It’s terrible coz it saps the energy right out of you (that’s why Gatorade or some coconut water helps to make sure to balance your electrolytes). Will you be going to Manila as well? Do stay at BGC or Makati for a night or two to get back in your city comfort zone.
