THIRD EYE BLIND "Never Let You Go" acoustic piano & vocal cover

The creators of one of the most legendary alternative rock albums of the 1990s, the self-titled Third Eye Blind, are sometimes mistakenly referred to as a 1-hit wonder for their era-defining single Semi-Charmed Life, which took US radio by storm in the summer of 1997. However, led by founder and frontman Stephen Jenkins, the band is still releasing new albums, and has maintained a devoted non-mainstream following for more than a quarter century now. Jenkins shared co-writing credits on the band's first 2 albums with 3EB co-founder and lead guitarist Kevin Cadogan. Although never as commercially successful after Cadogan was forced out, 3EB's catalog from the '00s and '010s under Jenkins' leadership is formidable, and Jenkins himself has become something of a cult figure and elder statesman of progressive music, with his interviews sprinkled across CZcams. Of 3EB's radio hits from the late 90s & early 00s, my favorite has always been the insanely catchy Never Let You Go... it took me a long time to come up with an acoustic interpretation that i thought captured enough of the original to do the song justice. No commercial use.
