  • The Bucksgahuda & Western Railroad of Saint Mary's, PA held their annual open house, also known as Shawmut Day. The line is privately owned, and is home to numerous two-foot gauge locomotives, including two steam locomotives. The 0-4-0 German built tank engine cab number 1 "Otto" was the first locomotive on the line, while Shay 6 "Peter" was a more recent addition.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the sights and sounds of two foot gauge steam in the mountains of Pennsylvania.
Be sure to comment, like, share, and subscribe for plenty of great railroading action from all over the eastern USA.

I know the girl at the beginning. Her family owns the place. And she is a member of NRHS Railcamp stuff.

Had no idea this place existed! Personally the Shay's whistle is a little too shrill for me but that's the only complaint from me. Heard a RS5T in the background, any clue who that belonged to?

Any videos or pictures on it? Wish they would showcase it a little more. But it's their locomotive. Lima didn't build many two footers. Should take that locomotive here or up to Maine a few times for the public to see it. What road did it work for?
