if you can figure out how to lift firewood, a wood stove, window, you should be able to lift your dog up! he seems like a very good dog and would give lots of company!

He struggled at the last steps, because they were too small - I thought the guy would build the last few steps also as the rest of them: then the dog could also climbed up into the cabin easily...

I enjoy watching videos like this. Innovations include making a tree house without a drawn plan but just knowledge and ideas. Place another support under the floor of your balcony, it is giving way or bending due to load and you need a cross member beam under the floor between the verticle log trunk. Also, check the main beam that is attached to the tree trunk it could be showing signs of stress due to load bearing support

It appears to be a be a very old tree..maybe even 200 years old? Unfortunately it's no longer alive so why build on it as opposed to a live healthy tree? how long will it last will it not rot and fall over taking with it all your hard work...

We are symbiotic with the trees. If all the trees on the face of the earth vanished in an instant, we would almost immediately die right after them. I don't know how I feel about all of this. You're building something cool but damn that's a lot of damage to the tree. I'd rather see a treehouse built to work with the tree more than harm it so much just so it could be there.
